Possible name meanings: Nymphs are spirits of nature in Greek mythology. They are minor female deities who appear as young, pretty girls, and are the protectors of springs, mountains, and rivers. A nymph is also a stage of metamorphosis in the insect world.

Family Ancestry: Tonks is considered a "half-blood" because her father was a muggle-born wizard.
Mother: Andromeda (Black) Tonks, who is the sister of Narcissa Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange.
Father: Ted Tonks, a muggle-born wizard.
Spouse: Married Remus Lupin during the summer of 1997, before the end of July

Natalia Tena (Tonks) participated in a brief interview with Naturally Natalia, where she spoke about the Harry Potter books (Deathly Hallows being her favourite), how she felt about her character Tonks' death, and her favourite character in the series (Molly Weasley), amongst many other subjects:

What is your most favourite role you played?
My favorite role was playing "Feathers" in a crazy burlesque play called "Night at the Circus." It was amazing!
Do you have a dream you would like to come true?
Many. I'd love to live on a beach next to a bay I own. I'd love to live with gypsy's (sic) and play music forever, and breed horses.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Read, ride my bicycle, swim, cook, drink, dance, smoke, have sex, sing, play guitar, drink coffee, walk, talk, alot (sic).
What was the happiest or the craziest day in your life?
I simply cannot answer that question! There are too many moments and smiles that I've had!
Who of your acting colleagues you starred with is the best actor in your opinion?
Michelle Butterly, she is an amazing red haired actress from Liverpool who is absolutely brilliant.

I can't remember, I don't get embarrassed (sic) very often and when I do I tend to forget or get drunk.
Have you read all of the Harry Potter books? And wuich one is your favorite?
I've read 5, 6, and 7 and my favorite is the last one!

i never new the dates of her schooling, but wouldn't that mean that she was in her last year of school the year harry started? as Harry was in his 7th year in '98, he would have started in '91 . . . Just wondering is all

because I love tonks.

because I love tonks.

As far as I can work it out, Tonks would have been in the same year at school as Charlie Weasley. That means that they would have left Hogwarts in July 1991 as Harry, Ron, Hermione & co started in September 1991, so they wouldn't have been there at the same time.
