He won't be too old. He's perfect. We've grown up with Tom and the rest of the gang and we will always see them as our HP crew. Anyone else would not be accepted.
If they drop Tom they will have to drop the other too and I'm very sure DanRad isn't ready or willing to leave the franchise. He means too much muhlah intake to WB, or whoever, for them to even consider getting rid of him. The fanppl would riot. It would be dangerous
If Tom was replaced with a younger actor the other would have to be too or the newby will look out of place and the movie will lose its feel. Once that happens and the "escapist" other world quality of a movie is ruined, it isn't as successful. People won't be able to "get into" a movie.
I'm sure Tom will not be let go but it's all a matter of Tom's choice. We've been hearing rumours about it all and his wanting to drop it for proffessional fishing. I'd be sad devostated (won't we all) but I'd respect his wishes. I'd also then start a petition to get him back and try to force WB to pay him more, much more, as an incentive. Tom cannot discontinue being Draco. The fangirls won't allow it. He is the only Draco Malfoy and no one could ever replace him!

I hope Tom continues to do the Harry Potter movies, because no other person would be able to play Draco as perfectly as he does, and no one looks the part more than Tom! He's simply delicious! After the movies, I hope that he does whatever he wants that makes him happy, whether it be movies, fishing, or being a tree doctor! I however, want pics of him, whatever he does!

I want Tom to continue on being Malfoy!! he is so great for the part
! I dont care if he's too old!!! I mean, wouldnt it be a weird feeling when he sees someone else play his role??? and for us to see someone else playing our fave guy's role???? i was bummed Richard Harris died and someone else had to play his role!!! but i dont want that to happen to Tom!!!

Well..let's look at it this way:

They're filming OoTP (5th), the book HBP is already out, and they'll be filming that immediately. So, that will probably be done by the end of next year and the middle of 2008. By that time, Tom will be 21 years old and playing a 17 year old guy.

It's not bad! Look at the OC, they all look 26 and they're playing 17 year olds! Besides, if they were to change the actor who plays Draco after HBP it just wont be the same again. I doubt they'll do it, it's not like Tom's going to wake up one day and look like he's 45 years old.

That was his original plan, but then he said that too many people had heard what he was going to do and even the school administration had started to send him letters asking him to endorse this and that to make their school more popular. So, he said that he wanted privacy and decided not to. Apparently, he said something about wanting to be a Tree Surgeon. Hehehe, hence our name: Tom's Treehouse.

i hope he coutinues acting i think him owning a fish place would be weird ezspecially since my dad is a big fish person.

I love how cold he can be onscreen yet so nice off screen! I woud be crushed if they decided to replace him

I hope that whatever he decides to do after the Harry movies are finished that he is happy. It must be really hard for any one that well know to find anytime to be just who they are. Especially one who was so young when he began his career. The privacy thing would drive me crazy. Sure he is famous but what a trade off. If he never acts in another movie he will always be the only person who could have played the Draco character in my opinion.

Yeah...after the Harry Potter movies...he should do other movies...we get to see more of him that way!!!!

As far as Tom's career is concerned I think that acting will suit him best in the future. He should continue acting even after the Harry Potter films. I can already tell that people will be crazy to have him in their movies. After all he's a superb actor and a great person too. He should pursue acting as a profession - and fishing as a hobby. And I hope he does.

Anyway, I don't think he career will stop in acting but he loves to fish, so it would be hard to act and go fishing when he needs to. Acting takes most of anyone's schedule. but as for his career in HP, I do think he will be getting to old to play Draco, but no one can replace him for Malfoy. It takes time to make the movie, nearly a year...and right now he's what 18/19? They're up to the 5th movie. Draco's 15. And already Tom's to old...but I don't want him to leave!

i just hope that maybe he can do both acting and fish hachterying as part time jobs.

But Tom's not that much older than his character, so make-up and such can make him look younger. Most people are usually a lot older than their characters that they play. I don't think they'll replace any of the major characters. Too many people would be upset because we have gotten their images in our heads as that character (e.g., Harry, Hermione, Ron, Draco, etc.).

I really don't think they'll replace any of the characters. They know they would lose a lot of movie fans. Plus, they're really not THAT much older than their characters. I'm sure the crew could make them look a few years younger. After all, the girl playing Moaning Myrtle is like 40!

I want to see our loveable Tom Felton continue. As one movie says, "The saddest thing is wasted talent." I mean, I think it's wonderful that he has fishing and school to get back on, but he's a teriffic actor. I'm not sure where he'll end up next, but I do hope that he keeps us fans informed. He's an inspiring individual himself and I wish him the best in anything he tries to accomplish. As others said before, I too want him to be acting in as Draco Malfoy all the way to the seventh film. I want to see him do more dramatic roles which I think he's really good at and I don't think age matters when it comes to acting. As for OoTP, I would like to how much better it's all getting for his role as Draco and as well as the rest of the cast.

I hope he does continue and do the whole Harry Potter series! I would hate it is someone replaced him if he got replaced because he got too old!

I really enjoyed when he was younger and he was Peagreen in The Borrowers! That film was so cute and so was Tom!

i dont think they will change the main characters around because they would lose a lot of fans. throughout the movies we are watching them grow up, just like in the books, so if they changed it around and got new charaters it wouldnt be the same .. i know i would be very upset if they changed roles around .. especially toms!! he fits sooo well with draco's character!!
