I definitely wouldn't have killed Dobby, or half the people who died in Deathly Hallows. Sure, real life is hard, but there was just an excessive amount of killings in that book. Dobby's death was very hard. I would have had him live and helped Harry and Ginny, maybe have him help raise the kids, that kind of thing.

I agree, it was hard on all of us when Dobby died, I would let him live and fight with the others at Hogwarts. I agree that he did his part, but there's so much more he could have done...I can see him helping Harry and Ginny to raise their kids.

What would have happened to Dobby? become the first HE in the Ministry , I agree. In charge of magical creatures and he would have reformed the whole division and the giants, centaurs, goblins and elves would have been finally heard.

How would Winky have reacted to being sacked? I think she should have recovered and adopted the Headmaster/mistress as the one to serve!

Would Kreacher had been young, pleasant and chubby, like a cherub? Kreacher would have been by far a more cheerier person earlier in the series like as soon as he met Harry, because he would have seen the Slytherin in him and grown to love him cause Sirius treated Harry like a son. The more he liked Harry the younger he got, though it would have stopped at a reasonable age. He would then be part of the DA.

Would their magic be different? For example, not having to be set free? I dont mind the having t be set free. I just wish the HE had a reset button so to speak that when their conscious says it is totally wrong they could avoid punishment by using a memory charm or become free if they choose, a little more kin to their 'wild' cousins the elves who are free.

I can totally see Dobby in the Ministry, it'll be the start of creature rights for all Creatures. He'd be an active advocate of treating his fellow Elfs right, true and strong. The Wizards/witches would have to treat him with respect, I mean that's all he ever wanted right?

I think I'd change the ending a bit. The final battle scene just seemed too quick for my liking. I'd want something more, like I'd want to show the other, lesser known professors fighting along-side the better-known professors, fighting back the front line as Harry dueled proudly against voldemort. I wouldn't have killed off Fred, he would have gotten hurt sure, but not serious. The Elves would be fight along side with everyone, showing them all how strong they truly are. It would be the start of something new.

A House Elf professor. I'd love to see what they would teach; of course they couldn't teach their own magic, but perhaps the newer Elves who come in would have a class or two learning the history of magic, learning how to harness their own unique power.
