Alice rolled her eyes, and finally dropped the subject. But what she refused to drop was the little back and forth about Alexbear. The heat that rushed up to Emma's cheeks every time she mentioned him... It had to mean something, right?! Before she met Brae, she must have had a huge crush on Allen... no, Alex, right? Or was it Avery?! Eww. Names. "I'm guessing you were completely in love with what's-his-face before you met Brae?" Yupp, Alice. Straight to the point, no need to spare feelings. Emma could be as embarrassed as she wanted, and the first year wouldn't stop. She considered this payback for all the harassment about birthdays.

Hmmm. Alice thought and thought and could not bear to part with her dragon, but she was starving, and Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans sounded pretty good right now. Even Muggle chocolate... "I am craving sweets," she admitted. "But my dragon is so awesome that there is a new level of awesomeosity to describe him. And some grimy kid will rub his filthy hands all over The Thing and his awesomeness will go down." Yes. An absolutely heartbreaking decision.

Nika giggled a bit thinking about the day that she got her wand. It had been interesting... It took some time for the right wand to show up, but in the end it did and that's what's really important, right? Then when Ari spoke next Nika could feel her heart drop a bit. She always thought of her dad's job as being boring, but it was accepted in the muggle world as a great job to have and Ari made her feel a little ashamed about it. Maybe Nika should just lie to her friends from now on and say her dad does something cool like work with dragons or something.

"Yeah... Erm, poor muggles." Nika repeated after her younger friend. Nika didn't really think muggle life was as bad as Ari made it out to seem. Though the younger girl didn't mean to do any harm, at this moment Nika felt slightly embarrassed to be a muggleborn. When she was just a regular muggle who didn't know about magic it was fine because she didn't know what she was missing. "There lives are just as great as ours!" She thought silently trying to convince herself that it was true.

"Yeah I don't know. I think my dad has some sort of issue with making his rules sensible." Nika admitted with a small shrug. Even though his rules were a bit odd it only made them more fun to break so Nika wasn't trying to complain too much. Then this time when Ari spoke again she said something else that made Nika a bit disheartened. She should try following the rules? But that's no fun at all! "I-I don't know." She wasn't even sure if following the rules would get his attention. Nika didn't really start breaking them until after age nine. That's when her dad stopped caring.

Everything became about work and nothing was about Nika. The little Gryffindor hated to admit, but she liked being the center of attention. She likes the spotlight and even though she doesn't want to think about it herself she knows it's true. "But I guess I can consider following them..." She lied. It's not like she liked lying to people, but little white lies can't hurt anyone can they? Nika looked into Ari's eyes and felt a tinge of guilt, but she didn't want to tell her friend her thoughts. And ever since Nika started going to Hogwarts things with her dad started to get a bit worse. They stopped seeing each other all year except for holidays. And when he did see her he was always afraid. Her mom on the other hand was afraid, but tried hard not to be. She always boasted about Nika made the twelve year old feel proud of being the only witch in the family. That's what caused her sister May's jealousy.

Nika giggled when Ari brought up her mom's cooking. She couldn't help but try and get all the little angry that was built up inside her with a laugh. It helped ease the tension. "Well sort of." She said with a small chuckle. "We burnt more than a couple batches before, but the ones that didn't burn were surprisingly yummy." Just thinking about the times when she was younger and the mouth watering chocolate treats made her feel like she could taste them at this very second. "So what does your mom do again?" Nika knew the question was a bit random, but more than anything she wanted to stop talking about her and her dad.

Nika giggled as she grinned widely. "And I remember telling you!" Nika smiled thinking back to the first time they had really talked in the common room. "Oh I did didn't I?" Well truth be told Nika didn't really remember that she said she would teach Ari, but she probably did say it because she told that to a lot of people. "Well then it's my duty to teach you when the term begins!" She explained cheerfully. Besides if she was able to teach Emily and Samira who had no football abilities what so ever she could teach Ari too!

"Yeah you're right! I didn't have any idea that I was going to do some weird things last term, but I guess it was my destiny or something?" She'd have to ask professor Bishop about that when she was back at Hogwarts. Little did Nika know, but her favorite Professor wasn't going to be teaching in the up coming term. "So are you excited about seeing everyone again!?"

Emma kept a calm face but bit her lip. She was so not turning red or endorsing any of Alice's thoughts. Wait, how could she GUESS. So the blonde decided that she'd admit it. It would be worse if she just stayed in denial about the whole thing. "Yeah, your right. Third year," she said, trying not to give Alice any firing amo. "Say what day is your birthday?" teased Emma with a wide smile. "You don't have to answer that. I'm teasing," Hopefully that would distract little Miss Nosey for a while.

YES! SHE HAD CHOSEN WELL! Candy sounded absolutely delicious at a time like this. And plus, it was a wonderful distraction. Heehe. A brilliant one. Emma grinned. "Sweets it is!" proclaimed Emma, grinning madly and her smile grew smaller as Alice said that some grimy kid would ruin him. "Hold that thought," said Emma as she pulled out her camera that had been resting in her bag. Walking a few steps in front of the dragon, but not too in front because otherwise her clothes would be singed. She turned her camera on and captured a picture of the dragon. And then she took another picture of Alice and Sel. Closing up her camera and satisfied with her work, she grinned at Alice. "Well now. No one, will mess with him. You have a picture so that you can always remember his awesome-ness."

Dylan hadn't intended on coming to the carnival, but having left the Daily Prophet offices for the night, he felt the need to unwind for a little while; chill out before he headed back to the London flat he shared with his brother. A relaxed stroll through the carnival, soaking up the atmosphere seemed to him the perfect way.

He stopped by the Carousel, attracted by the lights and music. He smiled to himself as he took in how different it was from muggle Carousels he'd seen, and imagined as a child he would have been awe-struck by such a thing.

Right well, she promised Tyler that she would take him to the carnival and she stayed true to her word. Plus she was looking forward to hanging out with her little brother and bonding with Ariana. The maid had perhaps spent a bit more time with her new 'daughter' than she had and that was mostly her fault, but she was getting a hang of this mommy business.

Tyler had been bugging her non stop to get on the Carousel so she pushed little Ariana along, who seemed herself to be fascinated with it, as she started babbling and flailing the closer they got. Tyler as usual was bouncing on the ball of his feet with excitement.

She got Tye his ticket and just she was handing it over she noticed a familiar face. She smiled and waved at him."Hey Dylan!"-beams-

Dylan heard his name and turned his head in the direction of the sound. He cracked a smile when he saw the pretty girl he'd met in the Leaky Cauldron a while back. But.. it faltered a little when his gaze fell onto not one, but two, young children.

Oh ...Merlin.

He had no idea the young woman was a mother--why should he?--But it still came as quite a surprise to the twenty-six year old.

He sauntered over, trying to look casual, and smiled a smile-come-grimace at the younger woman. Kids. Why did she have to have kids? He'd been on the verge of asking her out that day in the Leaky... but this.. THIS changed everything.



“Rhea. It's lovely to see you again.” He said genuinely. “...And..” He looked at the two kids. “..Who's this?” He grimaced smiled at each.

Rhea's hand immediately shot up to smooth her hair a bit. She was certainly not expecting to run into Dylan at the carnival or she would have left Tye and Ari at home or brought the nanny along. Bleh..this was a mess. She mentally flailed but tried to look cool as he walked over.

She hadn't even given thought to how she might look as a twenty year old girl with a prom and a nine year old kid by her side. No she was focused on not tripping or doing anything remotely embarrassing in front of Dylan again.

Right..huh..who's who where? Oh the kids right. She almost forgot about them even though she was holding extra tightly to Ariana's stroller now."Oh this, is my brother Tyler..." She ruffled his hair and smiled down at him..."And this is Ariana...my..daughter?" She paused..He was going to run away now...she could picture it all happening. He was going to tell her that he had something super important to and run away. then she was never going to see him again."I..umm..I adopted her a few months ago from an orphanage in Indonesia.." She finished more confidently. Right, she wasn't ashamed of Ariana...she loved the little girl and wasn't sorry about adopting her.

Alice grinned. So she had liked Alexbear, her partner in crime. Yet now she was dating a Gryffie who was scared of SuperGlue and had absolutely no plans of world domination, as far as she knew. And then she brought up the birthdays again. Even worse, she admitted she was teasing to anger Alice. Oh, Emma. "Shame you don't like Alexbear anymore," she said, smirking. Once we took over, you could have been King and Queen, you know. I could have been flower girl at the wedding." Ha. Like you could ever for Alice into a dress.

"You're so smart, Emma!" She beamed at the camera, and then at the three dragons. She pulled Selena off of Amazing Sparkly Green Scales and proceeded to tug the camera from Emma's hands. "I take this is a magical camera?" Alice asked as she clicked away at the three dragons. The picture came out beautifully, as all three dragons spat fire at the same time. Then she turned the camera and pointed it toward the three girls. She formed her lips into a happy grin and hoped that Emma and Sel were smiling, too. After the last click, she dropped the camera into Emma's bag. "I'm famished. To Sugarplum's?!" Alice could almost taste the sugar...

"Oooooh, this looks like so much fun!!" Callen rejoiced.
She has never been to a carnival before, and she was having so much fun!

carefully choosing which magical creature she should ride, Callen finally picked the unicorn. Some of the other creatures seemed quite scary, while the unicorn was simply adorable.

"let's go on a ride!" Callen laughed in joy.

Harvest saw her sister waiting for her, but Laurie hadn't seen her. She snuck up on her very carefully and then........."BOOOOOO" Harvest yelled. "I finally made it, lets take a ride, and play some pranks. People are already starting to board the hogwarts express. We are almost out of time!!!!!" Harvest ran over to the carousel and jumped on the first animal she saw, the dragon

Laurie nearly peed her pants when Harvest scared her! "you little sneek!" she playfully yelled. Harvest was on the carousel before Laurie could get another word in and she followed, hoping on the unicorn. It didnt surprise Laurie that Harvest hoped on the dragon, i mean she was going to be in Gryffindor after all. They were kind of bummed out when they found out they wernt going to be in the same house but then again it shouldnt have been much of a surprise, for as much as they were alike Harvest and Laurie were also very different. They were a unique set of twins.
The ride was fun and when it finished Laurie grabbed Harvest by the hand, "lets go catch our train" she said with a smirk. a smirk that told Harvest exactally what Laurie was thinking...The Moon Twins were coming to hogwarts:all beware!
