Back in the day when the Vanishing Cabinet was brand new there was an 'Example Thread'; A role-play that was started by a couple of our lovely SS staff members to demonstrate what Vanishing Cabinet was meant for. Somehow over time that thread was lost, and the Knockturn Alley team have decided it's about time to put up a new one.
A helpful quote from the VC rules and guidelines:

5.Prerequisite: While a person can be involved in multiple threads, a character may only have one thread. Within this thread, you can explore all your characters dealings within it. Once you’ve finished a phase or a scene you can start the next one with a new post. Do not start a new thread for a new scene. This could remind you of a pensieve if you wish. For example; I’ll start a thread with Lua Stone (an RP character) and within this thread I’ll RP all her related scenes that I wish to accomplish (ex: when she got her first Hogwarts letter, the first time she did magic, during her 5th year summer break, and so on). At the start of each scene one could present the characters that would be required for the coming scene. When submitting a thread, please only present the first scene.
Now, Vanishing Cabinet role-plays were intended to be a little different than regular Knockturn Alley RPs; In VC, we can explore the past, present and future of our
current characters' lives and play out many different plots or 'scenes' within one thread. If you decide to do this, or carry out just
one plot within your role-play thread is entirely your own decision.

About this role-play:
In this thread, with the help of friends I will be exploring the past, present and maybe even future of my Diagon Alley character: Artemis Juilet Galanis. Most of the scenes we decide to play out are in some way an important and/or special event in Artie's life. We'll throw in random fun as well, whatever comes to mind really that we can venture further into by RPing it.
First Scene:
It's a weekend and Artie's off of work; it's going on two years since Artemis finally found her father, or technically her younger brother found her, and things have been going great for the most part. Though, truthfully, she can't help but miss Greece more and more the longer she's in England. Artie's started a life for herself here in London, and now she has another half to her family in Italy; she couldn't possibly choose to go back to Greece. But what if. . a little piece of Greece found her?

After you finish your first scene, then you can move on to another, and so on. Remember, this is only an example/suggestion to assist you - you absolutely do not have to follow it, just make sure to include some sort of plot when starting an RP and most importantly, have fun!
