Hello and greetings to one and to all! We are Taylor (fanficfanatict) & Pixie (sweetpinkpixie) and we are very pleased and proud to present you all with a set of drabbles dedicated to our Hogwarts characters Selina Skylar and Kurumi Hollingberry. Both lionesses through and through, they met while traveling on the Knight Bus to Godric's Hollow during their summer before Selina entered Hogwarts as a first year and Kurumi her second term. Ever since that day, the two created an indestructible bond of friendship that has made the pair both a force to be reckoned with and best friends and pride members for life.

So please sit back, relax, grab some popcorn and a perhaps a bubbly beverage, and ENJOY!

23. telescope

It wasn’t the sort of connection one would expect when two young spirits discovered one another and found that their lives were intertwined in more ways than they could have possibly imagined. Nor was it one in which you needed a telescope to see it coming on the horizon or a magnifying glass to see it close up. But what is important is that there was one.

Relationships, they say, never begin and end the way you think they will. For these two young witches, this was exactly the case for the first words spoken were, “May I sit here?”

97. dictionary

When you make a friend you make a companion that promises to partake in many positive memories. When you make a best friend you make a confidant that promises to love you on your best and worst days no matter what you are feeling. When you are granted a sister, no matter how that sister comes about, you are blessed with a person who loves your faults more than your virtues. Yet, finding a sister does not always come with genetics. It takes a special kind of bond to have a sister- Selina Skylar and Kurumi Hollingberry had that bond.

3. transfiguration

“I know you as fascinated by dragons, Kurumi, but I think you have eaten one too many chocolate chips,” Selina warned. Kurumi had her nose buried in a textbook she had found in the back of the History of Magic classroom.

“It’ll only be small transfigured dragons," Kurumi pouted. “Worst it can do is singe an eyebrow off. Um…just to be safe, you may want to get down…”

Kurumi flicked her wand, “Draconifors!” Kurumi looked like she had won the lottery when a hand sized Chinese Fireball appeared on the desk breathing fire. “LOOK! IT’S THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER!”

50. boggart

Selina and Kurumi stood in the middle of the misty graveyard over the tiny tomb stone. The usually brave Gryffindor had her eyes wet with tears as her best friend put a comforting arm on her shoulder. All the air around them whispered the silent fears of Selina Skylar.

Finally Kurumi spoke up, "I'm so sorry."

Selina wiped her eye and her nose bravely and said, "You remember how we had that one lesson with the boggart and mine was the mist? This place is my mist and, well, I'm still lost in the mist and I can't get out."

88. sweet tooth

Selina tightened the knot around Kurumi’s tooth. “This has to be done. You’ve been wiggling that tooth for days!” And it had been driving the lioness insane. She then tied the other end of the string around the doorknob to the dormitory. “One…two…” Selina slammed the door shut. Kurumi winced as a tooth popped out of her mouth and rolled across the floor. Suddenly, a thought hit her like a hippogriff.

“SELINA! WHAT IF THAT WAS MY SWEET TOOTH!? I’LL NEVER BE ABLE TO BAKE COOKIES AGAIN!”

Selina burst into a fit of giggles and rolled around on the floor.

58. hoot

Selina Skylar was livid, furious... her hair was currently the color of smurf blue. She was on a mission to find Kurumi Hollingberry to give her a piece of her mind. A little first year looked terrified, so Selina stormed over to the younger student, "Where is she?" The first year pointed to the study tables where a book was standing upright blocking a head out of Selina's view.

She stalked over to the book and said, "Kurumi I know that's you! Look what your charm did to my hair!" Then she pushed down the book.

Kurumi said innocently, "Hoot."

7. care of magical creatures

“Hush now, you need your rest!” Kurumi said as she tucked Selina into her bed tightly enough that the poor girl could hardly move. “Now, you have a sore throat, so I am going to go get some spring onion from the kitchens.” She placed the palm of her hand on Selina’s brow. “And you have a fever, so you need a pickled plum.”

Selina gawked at Kurumi. “Kurumi, I don’t want to eat anything…”

“Who said anything about eating?” Kurumi asked. “The onion ties around your neck and the plum goes on top of your head. It’s traditional medicine!”

34. parseltongue

"...and then he attacked her, right in the middle of Lafay's class." Selina explained to Chris who was currently laughing at the content of the story. She herself could not even contain the giggles that now were coming from her belly. Once the two calmed down Chris sighed and Seilna took a sip of her drink.

In the silence Chris spoke up finally, "So who let the chicken lose?"

Not expecting the question Selina started to choke. At that moment Kurumi took a seat beside the two of them and looked curiously at Selina, "I didn't know you spoke Parseltongue!"

17. cauldron

Kurumi glanced down at her watch and a loud squeak escaped her lips. Selina was going to kill her for being this late. Usually Kurumi was the one waiting for Selina, but the older lioness had gotten distracted looking at all the kneazles and crups at Magical Menagerie that she had completely lost track of the time.

Turning the corner, Kurumi didn’t have time to stop before she slammed right into the opening door to the Leaky Cauldron. Rubbing her nose, Kurumi looked up to see Selina standing over her red in the face from laughing.

“What will Bill think!?”

12. charms

Standing at the Lake's edge Selina kicked her feet in the water. The fifteen year old was finding Kurumi's panic currently very funny.

"... then there's Connor who is nice and Treyen, and of course Adam, but he's complicated. I mean honestly Selina, WHERE do they all come from," she hugged onto Selina's shirt who was being entertained by the water, "Please... help me!"

In a serious moment Selina looked up and put her hand on her shoulder, "Kurumi, if you want all of this to stop there is only one thing you can do... stop being so good at Charms."

30. feast

Kurumi sat at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall with a mountain of waffles loaded onto her plate. She was pretty sure that there wasn’t enough maple syrup in Hogwarts at the moment to appease her taste buds as she attempted to finish them all.

“Woah, you are starting to eat like me. A sign of a true Quidditch player,” Selina laughed, patting Kurumi on the back.

“I figured I ought to spend more time around waffles since I might have to throw one someday,” Kurumi replied.

“Kurumi, for the last time, it’s called a quaffle NOT a waffle.”

94. allergic

Kurumi and Selina sat in the Common Room near the fire for some late night O.W.L. studying for the current fifth year Selina. But as the night dragged on Selina was starting to grow increasingly impatient.

"For the last time," Kurumi said, "you need three leeches, not four!"

"Odd numbers shouldn't exist," Selina explained, "they are just a bother."

"Well that is what is going to be on your exam!"

Then Heather, their good friend, approached with a small bag, "Do either of you want a chocolate frog?"

"NO!" They screamed simultaneously.

Kurumi coughed and covered, "I'm allergic."

43. headmaster

Adjusting the collar of her best robes, Kurumi stepped forward and walked down the narrow hallway. Taking a seat, Kurumi looked to her right and was surprised to see Selina sitting beside her.

“Selina!” she chirped. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“You should have,” the red-head laughed. “I love this school just as much as you do.”

The two girls giggled and then Kurumi leaned forward.

“So…are you applying for…”

Selina leaned in as well. “On three?”

“One…two…three…” they counted. After a short pause, they spoke again. “Headmaster.”

The girls erupted into laughter again. Some things never change.

64. nap

Walnut was sprawled out across the Gryffindor couch napping quite contently. As he slumbered and had sweet dreams of peeing upon his victims the Portrait Hole had a sudden burst of a Prefect and a Ginger. The girls giggled and stumbled to and fro in the Common Room.

"And then, and then he was all I'm Head Boy and you will respect me!" The fifth year Kurumi sputtered out.

Selina laughed as well, "I was this close to spitting in his face!"

Peeved about waking up from his nap Walnut marched over to Selina and lifted his leg...

"AWW WALNUT!!!"

36. muggle

Selina sat on the sofa with a yellow rubber duck in her hands and her brow furrowed so much that her face resembled a grandmother.

"Selina, stop or else your face might stay like that," Kurumi said reaching for the duck.

"I just don't get these things," the redhead responded.

"There really isn't much to get. They are just something that non-magical people play with in while taking a bath. They don't serve a specific function."

Selina leaned back in her seat and shook the duck. "So...they are pointless?"

"You could say that," Kurumi shrugged.

"Kind of like this drabble that we are in right now?"

4. ancient runes

Kurumi knew that she was meeting Selina in the library to help her with her Potions assignment. Selina was not hopeless per say at Potions, it was just that she was... special. Although her "special" outlook on Potions did often end up with a trip to the Hospital Wing.

Finally she caught sight of Selina who was intently working on something hunched over the wooden table. Kurumi plopped down and started, "Hello Selina. What are you- on my merlin!" Selina was carving the words I hate Potions into the table.

Selina looked up and shrugged, "What I'm practicing Ancient Runes."

62. mooch

This was a fate worse than death. Selina rolled around on the common room floor in agony while holding her belly. Quidditch practice had gone much longer than expected, and that was due to the captain drilling their new recruits to make sure that they could fly the new formations in your sleep.

So...really it was Selina's own fault that she had missed dinner.

Kurumi walked into the common room and Selina pounced on her instantly.

"What...are you doing?" Kurumi squeaked as Selina began picking off bread crumbs from on her sleeves like a gorilla picking bugs off another.

"I missed dinner," she grunted.

77. cheerful

Selina watched Kurumi very carefully. What in Merlin's name was she doing. The Gryffindor Prefect was walking from house table to house table handing out little cookies with the letters S.P.E.W. written on them. Not only that but she had a wide smile on as she delivered the cookies.

...Oh Bloody hell, "Kurumi what are you doing?"

The girl looked at her best friend and said sweetly, "I'm helping my house elves friends by getting the word out on equal rights."

Selina cocked her head to the side and whispered, "You ARE one cheerful, little house elf."

59. ignore

Selina sat with her arms folded across her chest and her face looking like a disgruntled troll. "If I ever get my hands on that Slytherin Beater.."

"Oh, it's not THAT bad," Kurumi said while removing the ice pack from her friend's forehead to take a peek at the bump the Chaser had received from bludger during the match. However, when she saw it, her eyes widened like an owl's. "Ooooh..."

"I look like the ruddy bludger buried itself in my cranium," Selina fussed, snatching the ice pack back and smacking it against her forehead. "Ouch."

"It...certainly is the dragon in the room..."

32. Common Room

Kurumi's NEWTs were killing her, everyday she was spending at least four hours in the library. Between that, preparing for her future, Quidditch she was beat. She just wanted to go sit down on the nice big red couch that was always a comfort to her in the Common Room. She wanted to be around nice, calm people.

She stepped through the port hole to her red chair and saw Selina and her boyfriend taking up the chair- snogging.

She sighed and grabbed her cat spray bottle. Without mercy she started to spray them, "You two are worse then Walnut!"

10. arithmancy

Kurumi's nose was so close to the parchment that her nose was smearing the black ink and giving her a black nose. Seeing this, Selina rolled her eyes and approached the table.

"What in Merlin's beard are you doing?" Selina asked as she saw the mess of numbers and letters on the parchment.

"Just...trying to figure out a few things," Kurumi replied sheepishly.

Selina peered a little closer and was able to make out the names of Kurumi and two boys on the parchment. "Kurumi...you are being ridiculous. This isn't a matter to be left up to numbers."

85. snappish

Selina rested her head against the library table and whined, "I don't get it."

Kurumi sighed and leaned back in her chair. The two girls had been studying for Muggle Studies for hours now and Selina was still not getting it. "What don't you get?"

"How do Muggles have pumpkin juice too?"

"Selina," Kurumi said trying not to snap, "They just do... I don't know why... they JUST do. It's not that hard you know. You just take a pumpkin... squeeze it and tada! Juice. I mean really is that hard? PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!"

Silence...

"No need to get snappish."

11. history of magic

Kurumi peered over to see how Selina was coming with her homework. "You almost ready?" Kurumi asked as she turned her work upside down to prevent Selina from sneaking a look.

"Almost," the red head replied. "Just have to color in your eyes aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand...done."

"Okay...one...two...three!"

Both girls turned in their handmade chocolate frog cards over, their latest assignment for History of Magic. Selina read the description on Kurumi's card and wrinkled her nose.

"Of all the things that you could have imagined me to be, and you made my future chocolate card self a Potions Mistress?"

21. veela

"Don't you think its ironic?" Kurumi questioned.

Selina rolled her eyes and loaded on more potatoes to her plate in the Great Hall, "No Kurmi, I don't think its ironic. Eat your food so I can eat mine in some peace."

"B-but... Come on. Violet's last name is Le Veela... she's part Veela! THAT'S IRONIC! Of all of the last names it has to be that!"

"Kurumi I just want to eat my chicken..."

"Seriously? Do you know the odds of that?"

"Kurumi..."

"It's like one in a billion!"

SPLAT! Selina had lodged a face full of potato in Kurumi's face.

65. ooze

Graduation was approaching and all the seventh years were busy with their final exams and making those last precious memories at Hogwarts. Selina had been working hard to put together a sort of memory box to give to Kurumi. Having added the final touches, the she rushed through corridors until she found Kurumi.

"There you are!" Selina exclaimed having found Kurumi reading a book under a tree. "Congratulations on making it."

"Selina...you shouldn't..." Kurumi opened the box and her hand sunk into something chocolatey and melted. "...have."

Her hand was now covered in what had been a chocolate frog.
