I'm only up to chapter 8, but nope, I totally disagree. Pottermore is awesome.

I'm not too disappointed. I find it pretty fun. Reading all the backstories is my favorite part. I agree that the potions take too long. But everything else is fine with me.

Oh, I wish we could send a message along with a friend request so at least you know who they are and all that instead of using a different site to do that.

I also really wish we could comment on people's posts in our common rooms instead of only being able to like it.

No place to post this, but I am disappointed, so it's relevant sort of - I did receive my letter to enter, but can't get through due to busy-ness!!

So, I am still sad.... and waiting and trying!

I do enjoy reading "the spoilers" tho, helps me know what's ahead and what to look for, that's ok with me...I'm slow and clumsly until I get a clue of what's happening.

I'm not really disappointed, because they said how it would be before I was able to enter so for example I didn't expect to be able to write messages...still it would be awesome if they could do that. They could ban swearwords or certain other words, if they are so much on about protecting the little people who play on Pottermore (which I think is a good thing!).

I lovelovelove all the backstories, the quizzes, the Sorting and being able to receive your own wand AND the pictures for the chapters are so unbelievably beautiful!

It's just that I'm so bad at brewing potions...I just don't get it, it never works. And I wish there'd be more ways to earn housepoints, especially now the duelling is not enabled.

Annnd as a last point I wish the new books would come out sooner! OR one book needs more ineteraction. But too much interaction wouldn't be cool, 'cause it's supposed to be a reading experience!

But we have to take i nto account that this is all just the BETA-Version, they'll probably do more and more improvements to the site, so don't worry.

The first book alone held so much information on stuff, I wonder what the other Pottermore-chapters in the next books will reveal!

I am not disappointed. Well, maybe a bit but not entirely. We have been informed beforehand that the Pottermore site won't be an RP site. It would all be just a pure reading experience with a wonderful twist.

We also know, at least a lot of numbers know that the Pottermore team is doing its best for our benefits and it's our responsibility to be patient. That's a value of a true wizard.

pottermore is great I'm satisfied with everything. but one thing that makes me disappointed we can not be free to comment, say hello to other members, and we are also difficult to discussion about potions.everything we write will always be under moderation, though I don't write bad things. sometimes makes me confused and annoyed.

What disappoints me:

-- How the second book isn't up yet
-- How I can't duel yet because it's still under construction

and that I fail at potions

The only things I'm kinda disappointed with are things that aren't there, like more ways to gain (and lose) house points, and a way to chat with or send messages to your friends. Some parts of the first book could be more interactive, too, like playing the giant chess set, or at least being able to play the set that you collect.

But like basiliskfang said, it's still the beta version, and there's still the beta survey they'll be emailing to everyone at some point, so we can give more specific feedback then.

I feel really bad saying this, but I am a little.

I just think that the possibilities of the website are far beyond what it is offering now. There could be animations, they could take the "game play" of it further by having to complete more things in order to advance further into the book, that you could interact more than just leaving a comment that is character limited at the end of each chapter.

I am baffled at how people can earn 6,521 house points when I am struggling on 45. Is there another way of doing this that I am completely missing?

Also, maybe I am missing a lot, but I don't see the point of adding friends if ther eis no interaction at all other than sending uninteractive gifts.

Also, I always imagined a room stacked full of backstory that we have never been privy to, and I know we have 6 other books to come, but I thought we would be getting a lot more exclusive content than we have done.

I do feel ashamed to come off as ungrateful. I think the website is good, but why settle for good when there is potential for it to be amazing.

To be honest , i am a little dissapointed too. I thought it was going to be more interactive. The only thing i can do now to gain points is do potions (which i fail in)

BUT. (there's alwas a but isn't there? )

I do think that people need to remember that this is just a BETA-Version. The real deal will be up somewhere in October. Every complain that people have right now is actually being looked at and who knows? Maybe when the *real* pottermore opens up for everyone they will have things different .

I think that's pretty harsh. You have to remember it's still a Beta version, things won't be and aren't meant to be perfect yet. Some of us are just lucky enough to be allowed in early. Really, really lucky! How many people are HP fans in the world!? And you are part of the select few that's in so... that's pretty awesome.

Give it time and give it a chance.

Don't get me wrong, I know I am one of the lucky ones. But as I understood it we are meant to be the testers to shape how it is going to be, but I can't figure out where to pass this feedback in a better way. That is the most frustrating part. I know that the site will not be perfect and that is why I have not mentioned the potions and duelling sections as we know that these are being looked at, but as for the rest, I haven't heard anything.

As I have said before "I do feel ashamed to come off as ungrateful.", but when you can see so much scope for improvement but don't have a good method to communicate ideas and tips, it is frustrating.

I was disappointed once i finished reading through the first book, i'd collected everything and had so many comments moderated i figured it wasn't going to be much fun after all. Since getting drawn into the potion brewing points race, i have felt a bit better about it.

I suppose all these extras are a bonus anyway, it was supposed to be a place for extras from the books that added more to the stories. I enjoyed that part so i guess i will just wait for the rest to open to relly find out all there is to know.

Yeah, a bit. I mean, I was so excited and anticipating it so much, I knew from reviews and other things what it would be like, but I finished the book and all there was to do was go back and read it again, find more friends, or brew potions.

The most disappointing thing is potions - takes about an hour and a half to make and we only get 5 points. Dueling isn't available so we can only win house points by going through the book the first time, or potions.

I'm a little bit disappointed... Only 5%! It's amazing, but there isn't a lot of interaction.

It's still amazing though! It never won't be! I just feel like I've waited for SO long, and it's not what I thought it'd be...

I'm not disappointed at all, ok, so maybe the fact it took forever for emails to come and I really want to do the next book... But I love Pottermore It's really cool to see the scenes in the book the book style, not the film style, the Dursley's house, especially, intrests me

It's not just the brewing time that's bad about potions, but also the really short amount of time you have to prepare a potion. I got through the first part of one, waited the 85 minutes, then didn't get the next part done fast enough...and all that time was wasted. I haven't timed it, but the allowed prep time is way too short.

Yes I am kinda disappointed! We should be able to do more! They don't have chamber of secrets up yet! And you can't really talk to people! Plus I don't like the house they put me in!

I'm not disappointed per se--just wished that there would be more. Especially the reading/books part. When Rowling said that it would be a reading experience I didn't expect it to be just a couple of paragraphs of each chapter.

Started to discover this website yesterday and so far I really like it.

I agree that for now there is not much to do once you have gotten through the first book but as others said, it is still in beta stages. I'm sure more stuff will come.

I'm not really disappointed at all. While I understand some of the frustration expressed here, I actually think the lack of social networking is probably for the best, given that there are/will be some many young people on the site. There is so much garbage on other social networking sites, lack of privacy, potential for bullying, etc. I respect the fact that, while I may be slightly inconvenienced in terms of meeting new people, I know that there is a really cool, mostly safe place for younger potter fans to explore the depths of their own creativity and indulge in this sort of fiction.

Potions is challenging, because the site is still in beta, but I still find it very enjoyable.
