YAY! We gots a forum, I first looked at the character fan clubs and couldn't find this so I got worried and then I found it! HOORAY! So, what should we talk about first? Any topics?

Yeah I was not here for the weekend and when I came on SS I see that we have a forum. Dances around the computer chair in excitement. Thank you to all the people who put their heads together and worked to get us this forum you guys and girls rock. I was wondering if Dumbledore does talk to anyone after, well you know I don't want to say incase there is anyone out there who has not read and reread the sixth book. If you read it you know what I am talking about. Who do you think that he will talk to first. Harry, Arthur, Minerva, Snape, Draco, or Voldemort. It would be interesting to get your take on this. If he doesn't make that type of appearance in the final book do you think he left Harry clues to the other horcruxes?

And I think that everyone knows by now that Dumbledore dies. The books been out for over a year, and it's been all over the news now that JKR has officially announced his death. It will make discussion less confusing!

I really don't know who he'll talk to first. Probably McGonagall, since it's her office now. I'm not sure how he'd talk to Snape and Draco, since I'm fairly certain that they won't be stepping foot back in Hogwarts (unless they're disguised or have taken Polyjuice Potion). I think after McGonagall, he'll speak to Harry next. He'll definitely make a few appearances, I think. JKR has said that he'll play a major role in the last book, so his conversations via the portrait will most definitely need to be in there! And he'll probably try to help Harry out as much as possible with the Horcruxes.

I definately agree with you, Draco's Duchess. Dumbledore will remain a large factor in Book 7. "He will never be gone as long as there are those who remain loyal to him!" Harry to Tom Riddle. This is just a deeper expression of that sentence. He will definately help Harry find the remaining horcruxes and give advice via his portrait!

Hello, ya'll! What are we going to chat about? How about we chat about why we think Dumbledore's hand is black in the 6th book? Or have we already had that discussion?

I don't think this has been discussed. I think that he destroyed a Horcrux, and that the injury was due to a protective curse that was put on the object. It was the price he had to pay to destroy it, so to speak.

I agree. It was just because he had destroyed the ring Horcrux. Destroying a Horcrux isn't easy, and the person doing it pays a terrible price. In Dumbledore's case, it was the health of his hand.

All that you have said is true Dumbledore's hand was burnt in the process of destroying a Horcrux. It will take a lot of power to destroy the others. Do you think that Ron and Hermione will help Harry like he helped Dumbledore in the cave. Maybe they will take the brunt of the curses that are on the Horcruxes so that Harry will be at top strength when faced Voldemort. What do you think will happen with the Horcruxes? Do you think that R.A.B. got to more than just the one in the cave?

That would be nice if he did, but so far, nothing has hinted anything about that. The thing is, was he killed shortly after he found the necklace? Sirius said he only lived three days after he tried to quit the Death Eaters. Or, is there a chance he could still be alive and helping Dumbledore? (Remember what Dumbledore told Malfoy when he had him trapped before Snape came for the answer to how this could happen!) Is RAB still alive and searching for the remaining Horcruzes? As to what happens to the horcruxes, any remaining will be found by Harry and perhapes those helping him. I wonder if Voldemort somehow manages to get into Hogwarts to steal the Gryffindore sword in Book 7? SO many questions and too little answers, yet!

Ooohh, good questions! It's so late at night, my brain is reeling! LOL. I definitely think that Harry will be accompanied by Hermione and Ron to find the other Horcruxes, and I like that theory that they will take the brunt of the curses in order to keep Harry at top strength!

And I totally love the theory that RAB is still alive and looking for the other Horcruxes!! He might still be alive, but I think that it will be Harry to destroy the other Horcruxes. It's his battle now. I don't think RAB got any other ones besides the necklace. We're all assuming that RAB is Regulus, and I think that we're right, but we have to keep the possibility open that it's not! I don't think that Voldemort will end up getting Gryffindor's sword, though. Maybe Harry will use it again, though! I agree with you, tatewin, there are so many questions that need to be answered, and it's amazing that one book is going to tie all of it together!!!!

I think that Dumbledore sat into motion something that will have us guessing until the final page of the series. Just saying that almost makes me cry. The final page.... Do you think that Dumbledore knew the location of any of the other Horcruxes and if so why did he show that particular one to Harry?

No. He won't come back -not like Nick, anyway. I look for him to have some influence through his photo is his old office, but that is it, unfortunately! I'm gonna miss him! He certainly was not afraid of death. As to knowing more about the horcruxes, he may have had some vague ideas, but they were not solid enough for him to pass that info on to Harry or he definately would have done so, I think.
