Off to the side of the Main Seating Area in the Leaky Cauldron is a small bar area that was built for customer convenience. The long mahogany counter goes on for several seats and is the perfect place to have a conversation and relax with other customers in the Leaky Cauldron. Ryoma's cat, Marshmallow, can often be found curled up in a ball on his personalized canary yellow cushion. Ryoma asks that you do not feed him scraps from your meal, no matter how much the cat begs, due to the strict diet the fluffball is on.

Similar to the rest of the Leaky Cauldron, Harley has charmed the bar to have specific magical properties. With a tap of one's wand on the counter the drink that the guest was envisioning magically appears in front of them. However, the drink stays magically glued to the counter until the customer has dropped off the correct change into a box on the corner of the counter. If anyone tries to remove the drink without having paid Elliot, the Leaky Cauldron's clumsy watchdog Dalmatian, will gladly escort them out of the Leaky Cauldron.

OOC: This is a thread specifically for RP's in the Leaky Cauldron. If you are intending to have a long RP, which we completely support, please post in this thread and NOT at the Main Bar and Ordering Station. Likewise, drink and food orders will not be taken here, so please do not RP your character doing so. And, as always, do not RP for Ryoma or Harley.

And a very IMPORTANT warning. Please please PLEASE make sure you have read all SS rules - especially those involving drinking. There will be a zero tolerance policy in regards to this rule.

Iggy sat, somewhat slumped over the bar. He wasn't sure what he wanted to order yet. Maybe just a cup of tea. He didn't want to have to return to work with any level of intoxication, even if it was minor. With a sigh he sat up, and ran a hand through his curls.

"Hi... sorry, have we met before?" she asked curiously.
He certainly looked very familiar, but she couldn't quite figure out where she recognised him from.

"Ignatius Potter. I work in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I think I have seen you there." Well in that office anyway. There were Aurors that worked there too. Maybe she was one of them.

The man, Ignatitus, looked tired. Heh... no wonder if he was with MLE.
"Ahh yes, pleased to meet you Ignatius," she said offering her hand, "I'm Emily, Emily Browne, Trainee Auror."
It was strange how she was still meeting the people she supposedly worked with. Then again it was a large department.

He raised the hot cup to his lips. That smelt good. It probably tasted fantastic too. Anything to wake him up really. He took a long sip, before returning his attention to the woman next to him. "I am a Forensic Photographer." Which ok wasn't as cool as an auror, but he loved his job. And it paid well.

"Do you enjoy working in the department?"

Forensic photographer?... wasn't that a little... gruesome? Then again so was an Auror at times. Especially when people were found dismembered, or in some cases liquified, or burned... yup it could be sickening.

"You must see a lot then," she remarked, "Have you been doing photography for long?"

She continued sipping her tea, letting it warm her insides, already she felt so much better, so much more... alive.
"I love it... it's what I've always wanted to do." Even though she never thought she'd have a boss quite like Damien. But... the grumpyhead was growing on her. He wasn't all bad, perhaps just misunderstood. He was after all just trying to toughen her up-- it was part of her training. "I couldn't imagine working anywhere else."

Iggy took another sip, and let the hot liquid pour down his throat, warming him from the inside out. It was a pleasant feeling. He was glad he didn't need caffeine to wake him up in the morning. Even if it was a nice feeling.

"Since leaving Hogwarts. I went and studied it at University. Unfortunately I haven't done a lot in my field. But I used to photograph for the Prophet. Before I got my job here. I prefer it though. I look forward to photographing your victims. I like to study them as well." He smiled. That kinda made him sound like some sicko, that liked to photograph corpses. It was true though. Just not the sicko part. He didn't get off on the idea.

He nodded, "I guess. I am not too keen of Ms Dacosta, or whatever her name is. She was rather rude. And I don't appreciate it." She wasn't nice at all.

"Uni... that must have been an experience." A part of her had always wanted to continue studying... but she was fortunate enough to get into the YATI program, so she couldn't pass it up, and she was very happy with where she was and where she was going.

Emily raised an eyebrow... he enjoyed photographing dead people. She was more than happy to see some action in her line of work, but seeing the dead bodies always irked her. It was... sad, and it made her angry- more determined to hunt down the son of a banshee. She didn't comment, instead she took another gulp of her tea- how she had ever considered switching to coffee she had no idea. Must have been the MLE influence there... but she much preferred tea.

"Mmm I suppose you have a point, though we have some of the more unusual cases. The muggle ones are too simple at times." Though even they had exceptions to the rule. But Emily found wizarding cases far more exciting.

"Ummm I am not completely sure. But I know it isn't her. So at the moment I am going to go with Mr Bole. It isn't Damien either. He is the Auror man." And he was no Auror.

Bole was the bosses boss... so unless Ignatius was the Head.... photographer or some photography division... then she couldn't think of who would be his boss. Iggy smiled. She looked like she was interested in his blasting case. It was rather interesting itself. "I also saw some pictures too. Because we had to study them. There were some really gross ones. But there was one that was really hard to understand. They were dead, obviously. But had signs of post-death injuries. It was really confusing. We had to find out what killed them." He didn't want to go into too much detail. Because it wasn't really something to discuss over tea. Or in normal company actually.

"I think Dacs is only deputy though. Which wouldn't make her my boss. Plus she is an investigator or something. I work in the forensics division. Which must be out of her field." It looked like it anyway. "I don't really know," he shrugged.

Emily could help but grin as Ignatius continued to tell her about the crime scene, and the photopraphs... he was certainly enthusiastic about his work. Sipping her tea she wondered if she had ever met anyone as enthusiastic about discussing such morbid things. She was certainly accustomed to meeting people passionate about their job, whether or not they actually liked the ins and outs of them. Particularly when it came to Aurorship... most people were just... angry. She saw it in her father, she saw it in Xavier and she definitely saw it in Damien. Merlin even she got a little hot headed occasionally. And she had every right to.

But alas... authority figures. Emily shrugged, taking another sip of her tea. "Mmm I suppose, but I guess its better to be safe than sorry. She's not all bad. You'll be alright." There were far more nastier things to worry about in the MLE office than just Dacs. Collectively they were all strong willed, passionate and loyal people... they also took offence to offence. If that made any sense. And particularly now with all the Cultist issues going on, everybody seemed to be on edge-- it wasn't the happiest of work areas.

Emily finished off her tea, placing the cup back down on the bar in front of her. Being as distractable as she was-- always having the need to be doing something, she began to trace her finger around the rim of her cup. In circles... and circles... and circles..

Huh? Oh the cult stuff. Emily huffed a little and straightened her posture. Yeah... cult stuff.

"You don't know?" she asked surprised. Merlin this man needed to dig himself out from whatever rock he was buried under. Emily stealthily checked her surroundings, making sure there weren't many people in the area. This wasn't the place to discuss it. Or at least not in detail. So she wouldn't.

"This isn't really the place to discuss this in detail, but to put it simply, they're.... bad news," she said ina low voice. "Diagon Alley shopkeeper beatings, Ministry infiltration... they're up to no good. And its got to do with the Statute. But its bigger than that... we're just not sure how."

Emily shrugged... yeah Auror business was pretty awesome. But it wasn't easy and it was vey dangerous. But she liked it, it suited her. Emily couldn't imagine doing anything else, she was always too restless to sit still for long periods of time, so being an auror and keeping active was perfect.

"Really? I find I can taste it more when its cold... or maybe its the sugar I'm tasting." Mmm yeah probably the sugar. Her and her sweet tooth.

With the poster still in hand, Ryoma turned to his customers sitting at the bar. "Sorry ladies and...gent, but I am afraid I am going to have to ask you to finish up your drinks and high tail it out of here," he chuckled showing the poster. "Head on over to the South End of the Street!"

Yep, that out to get everyone's attention.

OOC: I am sure you all have seen the site wide announcement, so please go and have fun RPing at the carnival. All the shopkeepers and shopkeeper assistants have worked very hard to make this event the best it can be, so we hope that you enjoy it! The Leaky Cauldron will be open for another 24 hours and then all threads will be locked for a few days. Please feel free to RP your character reacting to Ryoma and his announcement, but try to wrap things up and head over to enjoy the carnival!
