Behind the counter are two of the most approachable (and dashingly handsome in Ryoma's opinion) people in Diagonal Alley. Feel free to walk up to the counter and order anything off the menu.

When ordering at the Leaky Cauldron either Ryoma or Harley will fill your order quickly and charmingly. However, if you want to order food the wait may be slightly longer. So feel free to, after having placed your order, take a seat in any of the appropriate areas. Once your food is ready any of the three attendees, yes that includes Marshmallow, will bring you your food.

Ryoma has made several obvious changes to the menu. By popular demand, a dessert menu has been created to please all of those customers with a sweet tooth. While some may be familiar sweets to you, others are new. Sphinx Snacks are cookies that come with their own individual riddle. If you are finding yourself unable to answer the Riddle of the Sphinx Snack, simply eat it and the answer will magically pop into your head. The Gingerbread Men are a lively bunch that will argue with you as to why they shouldn't be eaten, so do be careful when ordering them and make sure that they do not try to run away and fall off the counter. Ryoma and Harley are not fond of picking up cookie men remains. Perhaps Ryoma's favorite addition to the dessert menu is the Dementor's Kiss Delight which is a tooth-rottingly rich chocolate cake that comes with your choice of hot beverage for one an additional 5 sickles.

You may notice some new additions to the drinks as well. Exploding Lemonade may be hazardous to your heath and should be drunken with extreme caution. Vampire Venom is a drink not for the faint of heart and Ryoma is not responsible for any fire breathing that may occur due to the intense spiciness of the drink. Perhaps what you may find the most shocking drink on the menu is not what it appears to be, but instead is a lovely blend of orange, snowberries, lychee, cranberry.

To order at the Leaky Cauldron simply come up to the station and tell either Ryoma or Harley what you want. They will then calculate the appropriate price. Paying is key and mandatory, plus tips are always accepted.

Be mindful that certain beverages are only available to adult witches and wizards.

OOC: Please try to keep the chatter to a minimum in this section. We have created a thread specifically for you to chit chat at the bar, so please go there for conversation between you and your characters. This is for ordering drinks/food and talking with the barkeeps. Just as in the other shops, have your character place their order. If it's food they desire, after paying the money, have them go sit in the dining area, otherwise, Ryoma or Harley will get to them in order. This is clear up all the cluster and chaos that is otherwise a frequent problem.

This is also where the customers may reserve a room. Bear in mind, unless characters are staying with their parents, no one under the age of 16 may stay in the Leaky. The price is fairly steep, so keep this in mind when trying to decide whether or not your character would stay.

Also, PLEASE do not play Ryoma, Harley, or Ryoma's cat Marshmallow. Just as you would not desire for us to play your character, we would rather you not play ours. Just be patient and we will be able to get to you. Thank you VERY much in advance.

Mozzie was not a morning person.

Rather, she preferred the late of the night than the early of the morning. Maybe it had something to do with how hard waking up was, but even once she was, she found mornings just weren't her thing. The night had a certain calm about it - a peace and serenity she didn't feel during any other time of day. This could, of course, be because the late of night was often filled only with herself, but even in the Hogwarts days, when she'd stay up late with her friends, she found that tranquility.

Gavin believed in past lives and such had gotten Mozzie to wonder. Maybe in a past life, she'd been an owl. Something nocturnal, probably. This would explain her queer, unexplained attachment to the nighttime.

Whatever the case was, it hardly helped her now, in the morning. Outside, morning birds of some kind sang a rather lovely song. However, Mozzie was not in the mood for their lovely songs. She was in the mood for a lovely sleep with fluffy blankets and pillows. Alas. the point was moot - she had a job to do and thus, she was.

With a nice big mug of coffee, hot against her fingers. Mmmm. Nothing like waking up to coffee.

A flutter of pink was the only indication that someone was there. Fresh from her visit over at Gringotts, setting up the small box-like room for the youngins, Ariana Dalca was thirsty, and if she were to admit it to herself, hungry. The thought of a coffee was enough to make her leave the comfortable bank, waving goodbye to the goblins was awkward at best. Those things were never happy she mused as she approached the main ordering station, removing the hood of her cloak revealing long flowing brown hair with light pink highlights. New doo for a new job she figured, her green eyes sparkling as she stopped, her converse sneakers squeaking slightly on the floor.

Tilting her head, Ari frowned. So many choices she mused, wondering just what she could get. Already she missed Sienna, and it felt weird leaving her with Darius, even if for just a few hours. His work at the Ministry had slowed down enough for him to remain at home while she set up but still the thought of Sienna not being in her arms was disheartening.

Sighing she shook the thought from her mind and smiled. Walking up to the bar, she sat down on the stool, placing her small black and green purse on the dark wood. A cup of coffee and perhaps something to eat would do her wonders.

Mozzie was already rethinking those little twinkling bells over the doorway. In the beginning, it had seemed a good idea - a nice alert to entering customers for Mozzie to keep an eye on, to keep her away for, etc. But in the morning, when she yearned for bed, all she wanted to do was tear them down and jump up and down on them. Stupid sugar bells. Why had Gavin allowed her to think it was a good idea, anyway?

With her middle and index fingers, she rubbed her eyebrows. Was that a headache behind her brow? She should have gone to bed earlier, and she wouldn't have this headache. At least the caffeine in her coffee could take care of that. Taking another long draw, she watched a woman walk into the Leaky. At least she had a customer - that was better than simply listening to the singing birds outside.

"You need anything down there?" Mozzie called down the bar to the woman. Sure, she could have walked those three steps down to the girl but she'd mosey her way there. From within her apron, she pulled out a pad of paper and a pen. "Can I get you a drink? Something to eat?"

Ari smiled as she saw the shop keeper standing there looking as tired as Ari felt. "A coffee would be fabulous." she replied with a friendly smile as she got more comfortable on the stool. This place had changed from the last time she had been here, had it been 4 years ago seriously? It seemed like yesterday. "You're new to the Leaky aren't you? I don't remember you from my time at Hogwarts." she announced with a quirked up eyebrow as she allowed her mind to wander over to memories.

Her green eyes shone as she ran her hands over the smooth wood. Yes, even the wood felt new, no nicks or bevels in it like she remembered. Nostalgia wasn't her normal thing but ever since becoming a mother she'd began thinking of previous years laughing with friends over butterbeers or fries. Those years were the best of her life, even after graduating there'd still be summers where she would laugh at nothing. Her friends were her family, those closest to her knew of her gift, that unscrupulous gift of feeling other's emotions. Sometimes she wished she hadn't been born with this gift, yet during her last few years she'd grown to accept it, thrive within it. It was one thing Darius loved about her.

Smiling softly, she took out the letter from William, still unopened and sealed with magic. That kid was growing she mused, her eyes softening. She'd been so proud of him when she'd learned of his adventure with the merpeople, creatures she'd been fascinated with. Her heart beat as she grinned suddenly, a soft chuckle that perhaps the woman could hear. Being back in London was something of her idea; she'd missed this place more than anything.

Before she could continue thinking her stomach rumbled softly. Smirking she shook her head. Perhaps coffee wouldn't be enough. "Perhaps some bacon, eggs and toast too." she added glancing up at the woman.

Onto her pad of paper, Mozzie quickly scribbled "coffee". She was about to ask the woman if she would like anything in her coffee when the other woman questioned her. For a moment, Mozzie merely blinked. Nobody had asked that before, not that she minded. If anything, Mozzie was quite content when attention was brought upon herself. It would be a lie to pretend she did not enjoy the spotlight.

"I suppose you could say I'm new-ish," Mozzie allowed. "I've been here for... about four years, now? It's not been too long. My family has been in the Leaky Cauldron business for a long time now and my siblings were none-too-keen to take over and it was left with me." As she spoke, she twirled a longer lock of her hair around her fingers.

When the woman fell quiet, Mozzie chose not to prod. She hadn't any other customers to take care of, so a slow morning was nothing to rush. Better to relish in the slow because it never lasted. Soon, the mid-morning, afternoon would be bustling and she wouldn't even get a chance to stop.

Startled just slightly by the woman speaking back up, Mozzie jumped just a bit. Then, she quickly scribbled the order down.

"And how would you like those eggs? Boiled, scrambled, fried?" she asked. "And for your coffee? Would you like anything in it or just black?"

Ariana had been drifting off into her own little world, turning just in time to hear the other woman speak, holding the white pad of paper in her hand. She nodded, turning her attention to her with a smile, “That would explain why I haven’t really seen you then. You probably started as I graduated, so we never had time to meet. It’s nice to have a family urn business though, makes it much neater.” she replied, her soft green eyes sparkling just a bit. “I just moved back from Romania about 6 months ago, my husband and I wanted to raise our child in a safe place.” she said shirting in her seat and smiling at the mention of Sienna.

"I'm Ariana by the way, it's a pleasure to meet you." she finally introduced herself, "Caregiver at Gringotts bank." she added

She took a moment to just look at the woman. She did look vaguely familiar, yet familiarity had been lost on Ari since she left and came back. She missed Vannah more than anything, yet she’d seen her just recently. She knew there’d be a major celebration once Lexi found out she was back; she hadn’t had the time to send an owl yet, being too busy with arrangements at Gringotts. Landing the job as caregiver had been a wonderful surprise, something she had been thinking about since her dream of caring for creatures had stopped.

“I’d like them sunny side up please, with the yoke a tiny bit cooked. The bacon can be crispy, I love crispy bacon, and for my coffee, two sugars with a little bit of milk.” she said finally, realizing she’d never told her how she wanted her coffee. That would have helped wonders she thought, a soft smirk gracing her features.

Maddie approached the counter with her father and smiled at the hospitable-looking woman behind the bar.

Edward looked at his daughter for confirmation that this was the right place. As she nodded, he turned back to the proprietress and smiled
'I'd like a second-floor room with a balcony, with two beds, please' he said 'Oh, and two... butterbeers?'

Alex walked towards the counter. His mother had told him about this place, something about it being the first step into the wizard world. All Alex could do was keep an eye over his shoulder, he had no idea why his mother insisted on him doing this on his own.

He spotted the barkeeper, she looked nicer than some of the other individuals in the room. A nice drink would help get rid of his dry throat and be a nice start to his shopping adventure. Raising a hand to get the barkeeps attention he decided to order something his mother had told him was her favorite. "One butterbeer please."

Asher found himself at the main bar to order for himself, Violet and Kale. He took a deep breath hoping he had remembered everything correctly. "Hey kids." Asher smiled, he was 32 years old and called nearly everyone kid, it was just another odd thing about Asher. "I need a chef salad with a gilly water. A burger with chips and a butterbeer and then, for myself a chef salad with iced tea." Asher told which ever bartend was taking his order. "I hope I got it all right, I might be in some trouble if not." Asher chuckled.

As Tyler edged his way past the customers crowding near the bar, he caught sight of two empty seats. He took his seat upon one of them, resting one foot on the bottom and the other foot dangling slightly above the floor. He scanned the menu above the bar, taking note of the variety of drinks and food that was offered; experiencing the feeling that this was going to be a place that he would enjoy coming to.

Butterbeer...he had heard mention of that, though had never tried it. Well, better late than never, as his father said.

He caught the barkeeper's eye and flashed her a quick smile. "Bottle of butterbeer, please."

Katie entered gracefully, her arm around her niece as she walked to the counter. They probably looked more like sisters, but no matter. "deux-"(it means 2) Katie started before she was interrupted by her niece

"Aunt Katie, remember what we said? not many people can speak french. Why don't I just order?" Sammy said hoping that she didn't offend her aunt in any way shape or form "two bottles of butterbeer please" she said sweetly to the person at the bar as her aunt fiddled with her bag.

When he was done, he slid it back over the counter with a smile, placing the large pen-feather thing on top. 'Mug, please.' he said, glancing at Madeleine, who pulled all her wizard money from her bag and gave it to him.

Daisy walked up to the bar and smiled as she looked overr the list of drinks. Iced tea sounded really good right about then. "May I please have an iced tea," she asked.

"A bottle please, and leave the cap on." Alex had learned from his mother never to trust people, in particular people you've never met.

Taking a quick glance around the bar area Alex noted that several people looked to be walking out towards the back ally of the bar and not returning, that was strange. He'd be sure to check that out after his drink.

Salander looks up at the menu, trying to decide what to order. He was famished, and the meals they offered back at the hotel sounded something he didnt want to put in his mouth, much less swallow.

Browsing over the main course, he spotted a few of those meals that made his stomach turn. Better go with something safe and common, or I'm gonna starve in this country. He approached counter and placed his order "Yeah I'd like a coupla hamburgers and a large pizza. Just all beef toppings, and salami, and cheese... lotsa cheese.... hold the veggies and uhm.... anything else that shouldnt be put on a standard pizza?" He hoped that was clear enough. He needed to eat properly darn it.

His eyes fell on the drinks menu, and one entry caught his attention. A small grin started to tug upward as he added "I'd also like a firewhiskey." Yeah that sounded like something made for him!

Daniel walked over to ordering station coughing with the soot that was on him. They really needed to clean the fireplace at home. He could use with a drink to clear out his throat.

"Umm... one gillywater . " he ordered. " And do you have anything sweet with sugar here?" he asked. He was craviing sugar. Well he always craved sugar. You could never get enough of it.

Daniel saw a boy standing next to him. He looked up at him. He looked older then him. Maybe he could help him? Well it was worth a try. He would learn someone else's name at hogwarts at the very least.

"Sorry, but do you know the spell that cleans something?" he asked in a small voice. He looked so innocent. From what had happened to his cloths it was obvious why he was asking.
