Second Year |  Is it just luck that harry got Snape's old book, or did someone plan it that way?
I think when Snape got the DADA job, he must of fogotton about his potions book. He must of new harry had the book when harry used sectumsempra on draco.

I think it was luck. Snape was really angry when he knew Harry had the book.
The book wasn't Tom Riddle's though. Most likely belonged to Eileen Prince, Snape's mother. | |

I don't Think anybody planned it, just that when snape had to move classes, because he was now the DADA teacher, he probably would have forgotten to bring a few bits and pieces up to the class with him wouldntve he? So he most Likley to have left the book behind. And Harry just happened to pick it up. This occasion is very similar to riddles diary in COS. Because any student in the whole school could have found It when ginny flushed it down the toilet, but obviously, because that is what always happens in a film like that, Harry found it.

I think it's possible that Snape wanted someone to find it, regardless of who it was, because who doesn't want all their hard work to be seen and appreciated? I doubt it was meant for Harry, because didn't they just grab them out of the cupboard randomly, Harry and Ron? But I do believe Snape left in their on purpose so someone might be able to appreciate his work and spells.
