Default Harry could have stopped Draco's plan

Well I just got done reading HBP for the 11th time and i noticed something that i never did before i don't know why..

When Harry is going to talk to Dumbledore for his last meeting and he meets Trelawny shouting about how someone threw her out of the room of requirement, why didn't he go into the Room of Requirement and confront Draco on what he was doing or see what he was up to right then before he went to dumbledore's office? Obviously he knew that at that moment Draco had succeeded as well cuz Trelawny told him the person in there was Whooping gleefully...And now he knew what to think of to get in there too, cuz Trelawny said she was going to hide her sherry bottles, so he knew that he'd have to think "I need a place to hide something"..and even if he couldn't figure that out he could just ask Trelawny what to think of to get in...

I know he'd just had a shock finding out that it was Snape listening to the prophecy at the door, but shouldn't Harry have known that that issue was not as important right now as Draco doing something dangerous that could hurt people?I mean going to rave at Dumbledore about allowing Snape to teach when he got Harry's parents killed is in the past, I know it means alot to Harry, but you'd think it'd be more important to him to protect the people in his present and future, by stopping Draco!

I know he did tell Dumbledore as he was yelling at him about Snape that Draco was doing something right now, but it doesn't seem like Harry to just tell on somebody, it seems like he would have wanted to stop his nemesis himself!

And why couldn't he have said "oh you found a Horcrux, great, lets go get it, but could you do me a solid, Dumbledore, and take 2 seconds to go over to the Room of Requirement with me, it's 2 steps away from your office, only take a minute, i know how to get in now, can we just make sure that Draco's not doing anything that's gonna hurt anybody?"

And you'd think Dumbledore would have trusted Harry to listen to his full story about how Draco was doing something this very minute right under his nose..you think he would have given him the time of day..and really the Room of Requirement is on the same floor as his office, he could have put the whole thing to rest and just did Harry a solid and at least went to check it out..you'd think Dumbledore being the headmaster would do everything in his power to prevent students from getting hurt...school principals in the muggle word take bomb threats seriously even if they're false...hogwarts headmasters should do the same with any threat, wheather they believe it or not, they should treat it as a dangerous threat...

What do you guys think?

Maybe he thought it was more important to go and destroy a horcrux first.

Plus i think that when he found out about what Snape did it totally drove Malfoy out of his mind.

And Dumbledore did not want to let Malfoy no that he suspected him of anything or Voldemort would have killed him. Thats why he wouldnt want to go to the room and confront Malfoy.

Yes, but the horcrux wasn't going anywhere..
And if Dumbledore confronted Malfoy in the ROR then maybe he could have convinced him properly without the death eaters butting in just when he was about to switch sides..

I guess I'm forced to conclude that Harry & Dumbledore are both human and each one demonstrated that humans make mistakes:Harry didn't go after malfoy and instead let himself get overwhelmed & distracted with the whole snape thing, and Dumbledore made a mistake and thought that malfoy could not do any serious harm...both deadly mistakes..well not quite deadly the only person who really got hurt in the resulting death eater fight was Bill and he lived...oh and the death eater but meh...and Dumbledore would have died anyways, it was actually a good way too cuz it made voldemort trust snape all the more..

dumbledore couldn't confront draco because as he states later on the tower if he did and voldermort found out using occulemncy he would have killed draco i also believe that dumbledore honestly thought there was no way death eaters could enter the school however he also left some of the ootp on duty
