Because it sounds so much more Graveyardish than Hangman. So yes, this is The Graveyard version of Hangman. The rules are as follows--
All puzzles will be DE/LV related.
A correct letter guess gets you +1
A wrong letter guess gets you -1
A correct puzzle guess gets you +10
A wrong puzzle guess gets you -5
The first person with 500 points wins.
You only get 10 letter guesses and two incorrect puzzle guesses. The round ends if a third puzzle guess is incorrect.
Should letters be guessed, and then the puzzle, and then more letters, award points accordingly for those preceeding the puzzle guess. If the guess is correct, points will be awarded to that person but the guesses after that do not get rewarded. If the guess is wrong, points will continue to be allocated as necessary.
Wrong guesses will always be included with the puzzle in order to prevent double-guessing.
Please, any one person, do not guess more than one guess before the puzzle is updated.
A word to the wise--considering you have so few guesses, if you see that there are, say, 3 guesses already pending, hold off on your guess until the puzzle is updated. You never know how those pending guesses could benefit you.
