I was going to say that for my competitions, it would be easier to have them all in one thread instead of cluttering up the forum with lots of threads for separate competitions.

I just wanted to give you all some insight as to how I'm going to be doing the questions. It'll be one off, one on. Pureblood Mania--

Taking a look at the condition of the Gaunts, would it suffice to say that inbreeding doesn't register as high on the pureblood unacceptability scale as procreating with muggles does? It seems to be that pureblood wizards would rather be deranged, deformed and so severly inbred that they've demented their own personalities than develop a branch of the family tree. What do you think? Would the Malfoys associate with a family like the Gaunts? They are, after all, the last living heirs of Salazar Slytherin, they're very much NOT blood traitors, they just happen to live in squalor. Do they not realize that after generations of inbreeding with close family relatives that they'll all eventually end up like the Gaunts?

Could Riddle Sr. being under the influence of a love potion attributed to the outcome of his offspring? Along with Merope's demented and inbred genes, could the intention of false love have doomed Fetalmort? There was never any love in his family and the only love that was felt was false or unreturned and it's said that babies in the womb can hear and feel what's going on on the outside. Do you think this is true? Had Merope and Tom Sr. gotten together under less "under the influence" circumstances that Tom Jr. would have turned out less evil?

I know that this my sound stupid, but I've got an idea for a thread that might interesting.
How about this: What do you think about people being possible Death Eaters? We didn't find out that Peter Pettigrew was a Death Eater until the end of book three, so is there a possibility that there are Death Eaters that are well known characters? Such as Percy Weasley, he's ambitious and doesn't really care about doing the right thing, so could he already be, or become a Death Eater in the last book? What other characters do you think could turn out to be Death Eaters? Who do you think would betray the Light Side or Harry Potter?

The Slytherin house is known for producing the most dark wizards and Death Eaters of any house combined and we know that Salazar Slytherin was ruler of said house and those were the qualities that he admired most in people. The question I'm asking is, if Voldemort is looking for the most suitable followers, sure, the ability to be cunning and willing to do anything to achieve their ends are worthy but why would he not want qualities belonging to other houses? Does the bravery of Gryffindor equate to stupidity in his eyes? If someone is brave then they would stand up to him as opposed to follow him? But surely he would want the loyalty aspect of it. And for Ravenclaw, he certainly needs some smart people on his side because the psychotic followers aren't always all there and thinking rationally. It seems that Peter was the only exception, being the only person not from Slytherin to willingly be a Death Eater. Is it, really, mandatory to be Slytherin if you want to volunteer your service? Would Voldemort turn down others known to be in other houses?
