I felt a bit relieved to know those who I cared about the most didn't die
I was shocked to read the epilogue, it was one of the weirdest parts of the book
I really liked it from the beginning and in the end, well, I feel terrible there's no more mistery... I'm split between loving and loathing and Jo had her right to make this book controversial because she planned it long long ago... if we liked what happened in previous books, then... well, I think it was our choice to join the fandom and the outcome was only her choice, she knew what was going to happen and it would happen anyway

I just finished about 15 minutes ago. I feel lost. Its really depressing. But I'm happy with how everything turned out (Even though the epilogue was weird). I just feel lonely without anymore HP. Ever. Somebody hold me.......

I was sad and happy. Its hard to explain. I was crying. My parents say I'm sad. lol. I was happy that Harry and Draco lived, but sad about other stuff like Fred dying and etc.

Well...I cried. Cause of Fred, Lupin and Tonks. Then I cried again cause i thought Harry was dead and him seeing his parents etc.
Then I was like...phew...when it was all over.
Then I screamed into a pillow because I can't tell anyone apart from on this little Deathly Hallows Forum.

I cried and cried and cried, feeling so happy that Harry and survived and sad that it's over but at the same time... I dunno... I feel kind of light now that I know what happened to them. Weird, huh?

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |

I cried at a few points in the book, most pointedly when I read the death and burial of Dobby, and the death of Lupin and Tonks. Now, I'm going to read all seven over again!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Xylina Samuels Third Year Special Ops | I finished it at about half seven this morning, and my first reaction was to cry again, it was so sad and so beautiful. If I hadn't have cried, I think I'd have screamed that I didn't want it to end.

I was crying at what I think was the real end of the book. The 'Nineteen Years Later' part just... left me feeling that if this were a fanfic, I'd click the back button. I enjoyed it overall, but now I just feel... heavy and unhappy. Like the party's over and gone and we have to go back to our jobs now.

I cried.
And I cried.
And I cried.
In fact, I cried nonstop. I'm still crying now. And screaming into a pillow.
Remus.....Tonks.....Ted......

Hogwarts RPG Name: Emmett Crosston First Year | I didn't cry, there was nothing to cry about. I was so disappointed, but i didn't hate the book. I was expecting so much more from JKR and yet there was nothing. There were a few deaths, and we were told to expect a blood bath.

I was somewhat disapointed with the conclusion of the book; I believe it would have been far more fitting to have Harry die. My favorite book was HBP because the ending, DD's death and funeral, was so emotional and heartfelt. I never experienced a tear-jerking, or even intensly sorrrowful, moment in the seventh book. I also thought that Harry's little forray into the afterlife was a bad idea plot-wise. I also thought Snape wasn't handled extremely well.
That being said, it was still a very good book and an outright phenomenal series. Let the days of rereading begin!

| I started crying from page 502 (Ron and Hermione's kiss! *squee*) and from then on I was a lost cause. The whole book had me on the edge of my seat, laughing, crying and gasping in surprise and shock. The second I closed the book after reading the final sentence, I felt like a heavy weight had placed itself on my heart. I feel extremely depressed about it all now! I absolutely loved the book, I'm reading it for the 2nd time already, but I'm just distraught that it's all over. I just wanted to keep crying all afternoon once I finished reading, and I think I would have if I hadn't been so tired. I spent hours waiting in the queue outside the Piccadilly Waterstone's and had the time of my life, and I vowed I wouldn't sleep until I'd finished reading it. I made it! But yes. I'm a girl who has extremely mixed emotions running wild within her at the moment.

i finished at 10:45 PST I sat there numb for a minute and then broke down crying i still can't fathom that it's the last one... I loved the ending and at one point i couldn't read because I couldn't see the pages from me crying... BUT IT WAS BEAUTIFUL and i think JKR did an awesomtacular job finishing it up.

| ^^ I agree. I kept getting frustrated because I'd have to stop every few seconds to wipe the tears from my eyes so I could keep reading!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Paige Wilson Fourth Year | I finished 17 minutes ago (at exactly 10:20pm) and felt sad that the whole idea of HP is over! I was slightly disappointed at the goody goody ending, slightly predictable but at least she could pick up with the new generation if she wanted to. Albus sounds like the next HP to me! I was so upset (didn't cry, I did not cry throughout the whole book) when Fred died, that was the one point in the book when i was the closest to crying. He was my favourite twin and his death was so sudden! I loved Percy for coming back! Overall I liked the book but am sad that it is over, i loved the comedy in this one the most. I mean saintlike? Holy - holey? I CRACKED UP! man was that bit just FUNNEH! I felt so sorry for Snape, poor guy.

I was--eh. I was so sad that it was ended, but also happy that now I know what happened. It was a bitter-sweet thing for me.

Well I did expect Lupin to die.. in a way, cos all the other real Marauders were gone, but it was really sad about little Ted, and Tonks too.
Fred's death left me numb - all the others were like 'oh, ok'. As you can guess from my siggy, the twins were among my favourite characters, and you don't get to see anything of George after that.
I think I quite like this book, despite the hundreds of unanswered questions.. it's replaced Azkaban as my favourite.
