In all the Harry Potter books people always call Ron and his family blood traitors but what does that mean?

It means they are still a "pureblood" family, but many of them have went off and married and mated with muggles. They are considered traitors because they didn't marry people from other pureblood families, which the pureblood elitists consider to be a crime since it's creating half-bloods and breaking down the blood lines.

Also it means that a pure or half blood family aren't cruel or hateful towards muggles,and basically it's another word for muggle_lover

they only called blood traitors by those who extremely dislike muggle as the pure-blood families with a pureblood mania think that muggles are a danger to wizarding society and mixing with them is an abomination. Arthur Weasley has a reputation at the Ministry for being a Muggle-lover, so this is what basically gives the Weasley family their reputation among pureblood families such as the Malfoys.

Pureblood born witches and wizards that interacts with muggle borns and half bloods. That is why in Harry Potter, the Weasley's are called by death eaters as blood traitors because they are friends with the muggles/ muggle borns and half bloods.
