I was actually surprised but I knew he wasn't evil and kind of guessed he loved Lily but, to be honest now that I've seen James in book five and Snape in seven as kids... I just really can't see how James got with Lily or if she even loved him. I wish JK would have gone back and shown how they got together so we could understand as well as Harry.

I guessed he was good, but I have to admit that I was surprised by the Lily thing. But Snape and Lily is now my favourite ship.
So sad.....

It was very unexpected, however I think there was always something in the back of my mind that suspected something had to have happened with Lily to make Snape so prejudiced toward her son. It can't have all stemmed from James, as Snape so desperately wants Harry to think.

I suspected the Snape and Lily thing since the 5th book, thats why I was never mad at Snape for anythin he did from then on cause I suspected there was a reason for it, and why Dumbledore trusted him.
From day 1 I thought Snape was a double agent, and even after reading the final book I still believe this to be true. I mean even though Snape turned out to be good he still gave both sides information about the other so Voldemort would trust him and to Dumbledore to prove he was good. He worked on both sides ultimately for the good of all but still a double agent none the less.
I could tell that Snape killing Dumnledore was done for a reason so I never saw Snape as a villian.

As for Snapes death of Voldemort having Nagini attack him instead of using Avada Kadavra on him I have 2 theories, 1, he found Snape to be a coward just running away when the battle of Hogwarts started, and 2, mabe Voldemort was mad at Snape for killing Dumbledore cause he wanted do it himself, and I have one more theory, he's Voldemort and he just felt like killing Snape in that manor. I don't know, these are just my theories, what do you guys think.

I was completly shocked about Snape and his story. After reading the chapter where Harry watched his memories I felt so sorry for ever hating Snape.
It is just so amazing everything he went through to protect Harry, even tough he wasnt very fond of him. And how he loved Lily, it was just a beautiful story.

I liked him even after killing Dumbledore and hoped he was innocent, but I hadnt predicted that. It was a shock for me. His love for Lily and saving Harry, all were very very nice.

At first I thought Snape was a bad guy that tried to kill Harry but in the Deathly Hallows, you know what happened. He was a good guy the whole time! *shocked*

It was unexpected for me. i hadnt really come to a conclusion about the whole is he good or bad affair, but the lily thing was like WoW!

i also will admit that i cried like a baby when snape is in grimauld place with lily's letter. bless him. and i really didnt want him to die poor snapeadoodle

Sanpe's Story is really amazing , it was unexpected and i really was surprised when i knew about his past , it was really great and awesome , i think Snape is better than James , how on earth Lily left Snapr for James .. it was really sad , i like the story really , SNAPE IS THE BRAVEST MAN

I was totally surprised by Snape's story.completly unexpected, I cried when I read it. especially when dumbledore was like "after all this time,still?" man i loved snape after that.

I am usually very good at predicting characters' actions and thoughts, but Snape came as a complete surprise to me. I don't think I would have ever guessed that he hated Harry so much because it reminded him of the one thing he never had, and would never have. And yet he sought to protect Harry with every fiber of his being because he was the one tangible contact with his beloved Lily.

I thought his part was great!

even if he did fight, i think he might be a little inclined to give in so that he could see lilly

When I watched PoA and I saw how Remus and Sirius both made comments about his mother eyes...I begin to wonder if maybe the two of them had a thing for Lily, and for that matter maybe Peter did too and maybe that's why we went evil ((Idk if I feel the same way about the Mauraders boys))...

-but it was that thought, that made me think Snape had at one time, fallen for Lily. And that was why he hated him so... I never could have guessed how much he loved her though.

He was my favorite character, and when I discovered my theories were correct...my heart broke for him. Poor Severus

Well, it's actually a little predictable but not so obvious. I also guess about it, but I never thought how deep it was.

I'm so into Snape now.

It was predictable, but good. Predictable things are good. We predicted that Voldemort would die in Deathlyt Hallows, but that doesn't make it bad. I love that Snape turned out to be good, although he is still mean.

I'd like this too, but he isn't mean, that eas just act.
