Default Dear Pansy

We all know how googly eyed Pansy got over Draco. And we know how Draco just had to make a respectable pureblood marriage in order to please his parents. It seems as if Pansy would have been the sure fire choice. However, Draco ends up marrying Astoria Greengrass, younger sister of classmate Daphne Greengrass.

What do you think would be Draco's reason for forgetting dear Pansy? Did Draco go through a rebellious stage and refused to make his expected pureblood marriage, causing him to lose Pansy? Was he just fed up with putting up with her? What are your thoughts?

Minerva Fan!

I've never thought or imagined Draco in love so when I read the epilogue and I read about his child, Scorpius, I was a little shocked. But, however, maybe after the final battle of Hogwarts he was less concentrated on Voldemort or Deatheaters and he tried to find love!

It is strange that Draco would forget Pansy. She seemed like the best choice; pureblood family (we assume) and close associations to him already. I imagine that after Draco switched sides, he had a big change in heart and Pansy just wasn't working anymore. But personally, I'm glad she's out of the picture.

I wonder why,but I think that Pansy would not have been a healthy choice for a mother of kids...Especially wonderful Draco(psh...)I would get pretty damn fed up with her if I were him.I mean I got fed up with her just reading about her!

I've always just thought Draco was under far to much stress to concentrate on love, from his father and Voldy. But you know he takes Pansy to the Yule Ball and they date and in book six he has his head in her lap and she's grooming him,he seemed happy.I just don't get Astoria. When did they meet?Because that's just kinda weird that they had no prior connection.Well to me that seems.

I'm glad she's gone too...Not a healthy choice But you know,it is what it is.I don't think he [I]forgot[I] dear Pansy,I think he just got tired of her!

I really thought they'd end up together in the end, since their little dots of chemistry in the books which seemed to sound like they'd end up together. But of course, since Pansy represents one of j.k rowlings bullies, she didn't want her to end up happy, but it just seems random that he ends up with astoria greengrass. Theres no connection or any information on how they met etc.

To be honest, i thought Pansy would've been perfect for Draco...but thats just me because im a parkinson fan -don't hit me people!-

I don't think it was Draco's or Pansy's decision at all. I think pureblood families are in the habit of making decisions for their children regarding marriage. And I think that Pansy's family felt that after the disgrace of Draco's father being in cahoots with the Death Eaters and Voldemort, however reluctantly, Pansy's parents decided that Draco wasn't a good match for her after all. So Draco's parents had to turn to the next best thing, which was the Greengrass family.

I'm not actually sure on this one. They probably got to know each other and fell in love on the 19 years that we'd missed.

This kind of cracked me up. So true though, innit? I mean 19 years is a pretty darn long time, and unlike R/Hr or H/G, they did not get thrown together during the war, Draco was probably separated from Pansy during this time, given the troubles he was going through, family-wise.

Hopefully more details will come in Pottermore? I mean, there are supposed to be details about Petunia and Vernon, so I reckon we should get more details on this too! Which reminds me, AAAH I can't wait.
