i would also say that i trust snape..
before i was a little sketchy on it because you just could never tell. but you do see here and there he cares about harry, he just doesnt want anyone to know and its hard for him also to be nice because of the fact of harry looking so much like james.
the princes tale is where it all makes sense.

After reading Half-Blood Prince we all hated Snape... I admit... I've never expected a brave endding from Severus!!! I was Stupify!!!
