I have always kinda liked Narcissa. I don't think she is mean at all, I think she is easily influenced. Her parents brought her up to dislike muggles, and to believe in pure-bloods being superior. I think she married Lucius to please her parents, and was impressed by him being a bit of a "bad boy". She is very protective of her son, and will do anything for him. I feel that she is pre[ared to do anything for the people she loves. I don't think she ever thought she would have to be hugely involved in her husband's activities (eg. being a death eater). I think she has been brought up to believe she is better than everyone else, and doesn't want to let go of that belief. I think if she had been brought up in another family she would have been a lovely person.

I feel that she is somewhere in the middle. She's not really mean, but she's not quite nice either. She does mean things, but every so often she does nice things as well...

I believe that she has a kind heart that loves her family. A lot of people believe that she only married Lucius or her parents, but I believe she was attracted to Lucius because of his charisma, and confidence. She just wants whats best for her family, and I think that, due to her up bringing, she believed status and wealth were whats best. I think she deeply cares for Draco, and is willing to do what ever she needs to protect him. She is a very caring mother, and supportive wife. This is why she became a death eater, to support her husband. I wonder how life changed for her family after "you know who" was defeated. This would give you a better understanding of her character.

Narcissa came from a pure-blood background and held many of their beliefs. If she had any good thoughts we are not told. She was married to Lucius who would've known to be a Deatheater and a part of the Voldemort inner-circle. So that shows agrred with the Deatheaters and what they thought of mudbloods and non-human magical creatures.

The only peop;e she cared about was Draco and Lucius. When she asked Harry about Draco in the Forbidden Forest asking if he were still alive, you can be fairly sure that if Harry had said Draco was dead or he didn't know she would've happily given Harry up to Voldemort.

So, I would say she was just as evil in her way as Belatrix.

I believe that she is neither good or bad. All she cares about is her family. She would do anything to protect them and does not care what anybody else thinks.

i think she is both because she will do anything for her son but sometimes the malfoy prode kicks in then she becomes mean and angry!

Narcissa has always been a snob. She disliked muggles and muggle-borns and believed that muggle learning must be limited to magical families. That's her mean side.

But, on the other hand, she cared a lot for her family, especially her son. Draco was a 'mummy's boy'. This doesn't mean that she's 'nice', but it exposes her love and loyalty towards her family and shows that she cared more about her family than ambition and powers. It shows that she was a 'family woman' who put her family before anything else.

Both, same as anyone else.

Her family meant so much to her. (not just being a mother to Draco, but a sister to Bellatrix and a wife to Lucius) And her friends wouldn't have thought her a snob at all.

But to her enemies, she was a horrid and hateful woman.

She did start to change toward the end, especially when she saved Harry's life by lying to Voldemort. I doubt she'd be sharing make up tips with Hermione... but she turned out nicer than she started.
