If Snape had married Lilly Harry Potter would have never been born! Then who be the chosen one to fight off Voldomort? Snape would have been much happier if he had married Lilly and wouldnt live with all the emotions he had from James marrying her. It's like ever since James fell in love with Lilly, Snape spent his whole life feeling sorry for himself! Thats why he was vindictive to all the kids at Hogwarts, he wanted them to think he was more powerfull then he really was. Especially twords Harry, he gave Harry extra punishment because James was his dad |

Surely Snape could have only found love with Lily Evans, the girl he ALWAYS loved, the girl he found that bond with at such a young age? I don't think he would sing, I don't think he would dance.
I do believe, however, that Severus Snape would have been a father. He obviously has some feeling for Harry Potter, simply because he's the only thibg left of Lily.
Maybe if Lily Evans hadn't been with James, Snape would have taken more care, I think. He was embarrassed when Petunia Evans (now Dursley) told him that his shirt looked like his mother's blouse. I think that's just becayse Lily was there...
Oh, if Snape had just shunned the word "Mudblood" and all of his Death Eater friends, if he'd stuck up for Mary MacDonald, if he'd ignored Wormtail Padfoot and Prongs... Who knows. It's a sweet idea.

I don't think it would be possible for him to find a live, since he would always love Lilly :,).
Also,
I think Snape would've joined Vol-The Dark Lord either way. His other Slytherin mates were all muggle haters. Snape had a really troubled childhood, so I don't blame him too much for loving the Dark Arts.

He might have grown out of his poor bathing habits as many young men do, but with no desire to find the love of another he did not see the point in cleaning up, I think. Perhaps he used it as a barrier to keep people out?
Some people are just not meant to sing or dance even in great joy, I think Snape is one of them. I agree with all of your points! This is exactly how I feel about Snape.

I think if Snape had a family he wpuld be much softer on the inside but wouldn't want to show it anyway. However I think it would allow him to see Harry in a different light.

If Snape had a family I think he would have been a bit softer around the edges. Having a wife who loved him, and children would have made his life fuller. It wouldn't negate his love for Lily, but it would have given him others who loved him to focus on.

If Lily would have returned Snapes love, or Snape had loved someone else that returned his love, what do you think would have been different?
answer: I dont think harry would have been born, but i do think that snape wouldnt have been as hearless as he was.
Would he have joined Voldemort?

If Snape had abeen with LIly, I don't believe he would have stayed on the dark side. I would have bbe extememly protective of her and we know she didn't want anything to do with Voldemort

I think the reason that Snape is so horrible to Harry is because he [Harry] is the only living reminder of his past love and of his own mistakes in life. I think if Snape had found love in another (because let's face it, he had been friendzoned by Lily) he may have gone on to be a loving father and husband. However, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the Professors at Hogwarts are not married or have any evidence of children? There is no mention of McGonagall's husband or children, so why must we justify a life like that for Snape? Being a Professor at Hogwarts is a full-time job, and though we'd all like to think that they may have had spouses and children, I think they are really married to the school, and to their position there.

I think that in their early childhood relationship, the early years at Hogwarts I believe that Lily did try to return some form of love/effection but could not prgress beyond friendship. Even if they gone further, Snape would've still been a Deatheater, he was a true Slytherin at school. We know that he thought little of Mudbloods that's why he and Lily argued.
He would've still joined Voldemort, see above answer.
His cruelty came across as a natural trait, he appeared to have picked on all who were not Slytherin.
He probably made a good father, strict but would've loved and taken care of his son/daughter and taught them more than they would've learnt in classes at school.
He would not have changed his dress sense as it was his persona.
I don't think that dancing or singing is a part of his nature.

I think of the Yule Ball, and how Snape was outside trying to catch students making out.. I think inside he hurt too much to watch people dancing together, so he staYed outside.

If Snape had found love Harry won't have his phisical apeariance he will be disgusting, with long black hair and ugly nose... But that's not important. Then Lily won't die, Snape will see about her and Harry's life, he will be good actor again, acting his devotion to Lord, so they will be no deaths and agony. In some time, in some normal age of his life, Harry will kill Voldemort with his dad and world will be better place. He will have parents, at all, too. Of course he will have mother's eyes

I believe Snape would be protective as a father, and as a husband. I don't think Snape would've been that different if he had found love. Probably more loving and kind, but not that much. If anything changed in the past, it would affect the future immensely. That would raise the question if there would be anybody who could stop Voldemort and many other.
Oh, and I love James and Lily.
