Default Welcome to The Book Seekers!

Do you love reading? Do you want to be part of a community of people who love books as much as you do? Are you interested in reading and discussing a different book each month? If you answered ‘YES!’ to any of those questions, then this is definitely the place for you! Here you can discuss all things book-related with others who are equally as passionate as you are. And the best part? You get to choose which book we'll be reading each month!

Forum Rules:
  • All SnitchSeeker Board Rules apply in this forum.
  • It is recommended that you read the first post of ANY thread you check out in this forum. Some threads might contain SPOILER-y content (for example, book reviews) and we don’t want you to get accidentally spoiled, so watch out. Additionally, some threads might contain sensitive topics, so be sure to check for any content warnings before reading.
  • All forms of reading (physical copies, eBooks, audiobooks) are supported here!
  • Be respectful. We all have different opinions on books, characters, etc., and that’s okay! Discussions are encouraged, but rudeness will NOT be tolerated. Any issues should be brought to Harron Peasley or natekka via PM.

Rating System

All books discussed in this forum must have an SS rating. Books up to and including the rating Sa16+ are allowed. Please consider these ratings carefully when posting a book review or recommendation.

If you are unsure of the rating for a book, check with Harron Peasley or natekka.
pSa: These books are aimed at children up to the age of 4. There is no coarse language, violence or other adult themes present at all, and they are free from ideas that young children are unable to comprehend.

Sa5+: These books are aimed at a general audience aged 5 years and older. There is no coarse language, violence or other adult themes present, and no romance beyond holding hands.

Sa9+: These books may contain content not suitable for younger children and are aimed at more mature children aged 9 years and older. Minor mentions of action violence may be present, but there is no coarse language, graphic description of injury or other adult themes. Brief romantic mentions including hand-holding, friendly embraces and brief pecks may be present, but nothing beyond this should be present.

Sa13+: These books are aimed at teenagers aged 13 years and older. There may be some violence and minor suggestive adult themes, but there should not be any coarse language or graphic detail of injury. Brief romantic mentions including hand-holding, friendly embraces and brief pecks may be present, but nothing beyond this should be present.

Sa16+: These books are aimed at mature teenagers and adults aged 16 and older. They are not suitable for children and teens below the age of 16 and may contain violence, romance and other adult themes.

Sensitive Topics

The nature of a book club means that there may be occasions where topics otherwise not permitted on SnitchSeeker are encountered. We ask that you are mature and respectful, and keep discussions involving these topics to a minimum.

Default Discussion Guidelines
Ali's Little Fox | Ravenpuff | Ĺ of Lauralie | Graphicer

Creating a Discussion Thread

Discussion threads can be about pretty much any book related topic. From a specific author, book, or genre, to posing a bookish related question. If you are interested in starting your own discussion thread, follow these steps:
  • Check that there isn't an existing discussion on that topic.
  • Create a new thread.
  • Select the 'Discussion:' prefix.
  • The title of your thread should be clear and concise.
    • The title might be altered by a mod to be more concise if necessary.
    • If the discussion is about a specific book, the title should read: 'Title' by Author (Rating)
  • Your first post should explain exactly what the discussion will be about. You can pose any questions you have about the topic to get the discussion started.
  • You must state clearly in your first post whether SPOILERS are allowed in the discussion.
  • Sensitive topics should be kept to a minimum in discussions. However, if they are discussed, a CONTENT WARNING must be included in the first post listing any and all topics that might come up.
  • Any banners or images you include should follow SnitchSeeker Rules.
  • Your thread will need to be approved by a mod before it is posted.
    • If your discussion doesn't get approved, you will receive a PM explaining why.
  • Discuss! Have fun! Be respectful! Keep your discussion active!
