"Why do we have to meet up with the Headmaster before we get on the train" Katelyn asked as a group of them walked through the halls.
"McGonnagall said he had some sort of proposition for us" James replied as he wrapped his arm around Lily and pulled her close.
"Like what?" Remus questioned before spotting Dumbledore.
"An honorable one with possibly horrible consequences" Albus replied as he ushered them through the gargoyle entrance. Once they arrived in his office he continued "I would like for you to join the fight against Voldemort" as he watched all of their faces.

A pair of socks hit the back of James's head as he unpacked his things into the new apartment he and Sirius had bought. "Padfoot, I'm gonna get you back for that" James yelled before he turned around to see Lily and Sirius standing at the entrance to his bedroom.
"It wasn't me this time" Sirius replied with a smile before he exited.
"How are you?" Lily replied after she ran over and hugged her boyfriend.
"I'm okay. Its been strange because I don't get to see you, Katelyn, Remus, and Peter everyday" replied James.

"Marauders, Is it me or does it seem Peter is trying to ignore us?" Lily asked as she sat down next to James on the couch.
"Why would you say that?" with Sirius with a question.
"Well Its the fourth time that he hasn't showed up for our weekly dinners" Katelyn replied as if she took the words out of Lily's mouth.
"You're right about that but I don't think he is ignoring us" James said before he put his arm around Lily.
"We believe him when he says that hes busy with work" added Sirius.

"Are you ready?" Lily asked as he grabbed James's hand before they had to apparate.
"Yeah, Are you?" replied James.
"I might not be as daring as you but I'm ready" Lily said with a nervous smile.
"Alright" replied James before he kissed her hand. "I want you to know that I love you and I always will".
"I love you too" Lily said before James kissed her gently and apparated away. She stood there for another minute as she thought of what would be the result of their first Order of the Pheonix battle before apparating away.

"Lily, I love you more then words can describe" James said as he bagan practicing his speech in front of the mirror. "You've been a big part of my life since we started at Hogwarts" he continued as he heard Sirius laughing inside his head at the speech. He then bit his tongue and continued again "What I'm trying to say is" but stopped as he ran his hand through his hair like always."Will you marry me?" he asked when he pulled the ring out of his pocket to examine it.
"Yes" Lily replied from the bedroom entrance.

"Did you seem just vanish like a diricawl?" Lily asked as she grabbed James's hand after returning to his apartment.
Sirius shook his head and replied "No, When the other and I entered he must have just left".
"It was weird because one minute he was dueling us and the next he vanished in front of us when Dumbledore arrived" James said before he continued to catch his breath.
"Did he apparate?" questioned Remus from behind James and Lily.
"Nope" Lily said after Remus joined the them in the seating area.
"There was nothing but green smoke" added James.

As the group of friends waited at the headquarters playing games and reading, James and Lily were discussing their wedding.
"What month did you originally say?" James asked as he pulled his fiance close.
"December" Lily replied as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I couldn't think of a better time of the year" James replied as he leaned in to kiss her.
"Someone signaled their patronus" interupted Sirius immediatly after he apparated in. "Lets go"
James and Lily glanced towards their friends then turned to each other and said "I love you" before apparating with the others.

James stood at the end of the aisle as he waited for Lily. He attempted to keep his hair down for one of the most important moments of his life but it didn't work. "James, Stop it" Sirius said as he put his hand on his friend's shoulder.
"I'm trying. But Lily is going to be walking down the aisle any second now" James said as he continued pushing his hair down. Then a fearful look came upon his face. "What if she doesn't marry me because my hair?".
"Your hair has always been a mess".

"James" Lily called as she looked around her new house for her husband.
"Over here" he called back.
"Wheres here?" Lily asked as she tried to follow his voice.
"On the balcony".
With that reply, Lily made her way up the main staircase and to her bedroom. "What's that?" she asked as she saw what James bought.
"Its the best telescope".
"James, Bring it back to the store" Lily demmanded before she sat down on the bed.
"But its just like the ones we used to use in Hogwarts when we started dating" James replied trying to persuade her.

While James teemed sour milk out of a milk carton, Lily slowly walked over to the kitchen table not to far from him and sat down."James" she said softly but loud enough to hear.
James turned around immeadiatly to see Lily, looked like she was worried about something."Whats wrong?".
"Theres nothing wrong, I just need to tell you something".
He walked over, sat across from her, and grabbed her hands."What?" he asked unconvinced that whatever she had to tell him wasn't bad.
Lily looked down at his hands,then into his eyes and said "James, I'm pregnant" as a smile came upon her face.

"So, Do you want to come to dinner Friday?" James asked as he looked through the mirror, where is best friend was located.
"Sure" Sirius replied with a suspicious look. "I wonder whats so important for you and Lily to invite me to dinner."
Before James could reply Lily had woken up on the couch across from him and screamed.
"Lil, Whats wrong?" James asked as he put the mirror down,got up and walked over to her.
"I dreamed we had our baby and it was a three eyed evil Leprechaun" She answered before a roar of laughter came out of the mirror.

"James, Look what I found?" Lily called as she walked into their living room.
"What is that thing?". James walked over to her and looked at it upclose and poked it.
Lily shook her head then spoke "Its a kneazle".
"Don't tell me we're keeping it" James said as he finally bakced away from it.
"Why not?" Lily asked giving James a look she usually did when she saw his reason bad.
"Well..". James looked around for a few moments then said "What if Sirius came over?" as his friend apparated in behind Lily.
"Whats going on?" Sirius asked as he walked over to Lily.

James kept one eye on Lily as the two of them walked together down the street of a muggle neighborhood recently under attack. "Do you think we'll duel him again?" James whispered as he looked over to his right.
"I hope not" Lily replied as she put her free hand on her small pregnant belly.
"Lily, go home"
"No, I'm not leaving you alone and plus its also my night on duty". Lily stopped and looked at James with her arms folded. "Lily, I'll get Sirius here in an instant". He then reached in his pocket and pulled out his two way mirror.

"Why do witches and wizards have to be classified as pureblood, halfblood, and muggleborn?" Sirius asked as he threw a letter from his mother down.
"I ask myself that all the time" Lily replied as she sat back down across from him. "Our world is so messed up". Lily ropened up a parchment filled with names.
"Is that the list of people we're inviting to James's surprise party?". Sirius reached over and began to read it before waiting for her response. "Looks good. So exactly when is it?".
Lily just shook her head and said "after the concert you're going to on Friday"

"What time is the meeting?" James asked as he began charming dishes to clean themselves.
Remus looked over Lily's muggle newspaper to see if Katelyn or Lily knew the answer. "Five" Lily answered as she and katelyn continued to look through a photo album.
"How much time do we have?" James asked before turning around to look at them.
"We only have a few minutes until we have to get to the location of the portkey" Remus answered as he placed the paper down. "Should we go?"
"If we don't want to be late then yeah" Lily answered before summoning her coat.

Lily walked into the living room and collapsed on the couch. She thought a nap sounded good but didn't have any luck falling to sleep. She laid down for five minutes when James apparated in with Sirius and Remus. "Where's Peter?" she asked as she sat up.
"Busy" Sirius said after sitting down next to Lily.
"He said he had work" Remus added as he sat on the other couch.
James sat down on Lily's other side then added "Like always".
"It sounds like you guys are upset that your friend can't come out and play" Lily said with a smirk on her face.

Lily had gotten home from dropping Harry off with James's mother when she heard a roar of laughter coming from the kitchen. "James" she called as she approached the kitchen.
"In here" replied Sirius and James in unison.
"I wonder what I'm about to walk into now" Lily mummbled to herself. As entered the kitchen she half expected to see a disaster in the room but there wasn't anything out of place. The only thing that was suspicious was Sirius's evil smirk. Before she could ask whats going on, Sirius runs over and stares directly into her brilliant green eyes.

Lily loved almost everything about James She didn't mind sitting on the couch next to him, as he and Sirius bewitched their chess pieces to fight instead of completing their extremely long game of wizard chess. "Why?" Lily asked as she looked at James then at his friend.
"You knew this would happen when you married him" Sirius replied after he placed a charm on another of his pieces.
James ignored Sirius's response and look directly into Lily's eyes. "Its fun".
Lily and Sirius shook thier heads. "Thats the best you can come up with".
"Only on short notice" James answered with a smirk.

James looked at Lily then back to Harry, who was being held in his arms. "I know exactly what Harry will be doing in his not to distant future" James said as a mischevious look came across his face.
"And what exactly does that include?" Lily took Harry out of James's arms and looked at his little face.
"Well lets just say we're going to have to be prepared to x-tinguish something in this house"
"I'm not so sure I'm going to leave you alone with him again". Lily didn't want to know what Harry would do under the watch of James.

Lily walked back and forth in the living room as she waited for April first to officially end. James had not played a practical joke on her and she wanted to make sure it remained that way. It was a minute before midnight when she finally sat down and watched the clock. She then heard a window open in the other room and then a loud crash. "Ouch" screamed James's voice from inside the kitchen.
"What did you do?" Lily called back to him.
"I was trying to climb through the kitchen window" James came out of the kitchen with bruises.

"What are you doing?" Lily asked as James began to lope around the kitchen table
"Getting some excercise during the winter. What else could I be doing?" James replied followed by an exhale that was kind of like a laugh.
"Of course, Its so obvious" Lily answered with a hint of sarcasm.
James laughed then stopped next to his wife and gave her hug.
She looked up at him and smiled."I love you"
"I love you too" James replied then gave her another hug. "Now I'm going to continue my excercise" James then began to lope around the kitchen as Lily walked away.

"James?" Lily said as she sat down next to James on the couch.
"What?" James asked as her put his arm around her.
"Have you noticed anything strange with the possessions in our house?"
"No" He gave a strange look with his reply.
"James, I think someone is mooching off us"
"Why do you think that?"
"Photographs and jewelry aren't where they used to be. And I know I haven't misplaced them" Lily continued to stare at James as he seemed to be thinking up an explanation to her theory. "You know how I am when it comes to my memory. I don't forget a thing"

James entered the house with a present behind his back and a smile across his face. Lily immeadiatly looked up when she heard apparate. She then continued to play with Harry on the floor. "Whats that behind your back?" Lily asked without looking at her husband.
"Its just a little something for Harry" James smile then changed from charming to goofy.
"James, We don't want to spoil him. He doesn't need everything" Lily said then reached her hand out in James's direction. "Hand it over".
He hesitated but finally walked over and handed Lily a small lion. "Its for the Gryffindor in him".

James layed down on the couch after a long day of work. It didn't take long before he fell asleep.He dreamed a very vivid dream then quickly awoke to see Lily entering the living room.
"Did you sleep good?" Lily asked as she went through the drawers at the bottom of the book shelf.
"I think so but a dream interupted it"
"What do you mean?" Lily finally looked away from the bookshelf towards James.
"I think I had a dream about the future but something about it was depressing"
"Do you know any details about the dream?" Lily asked after shutting the drawer.

Lily had finally managed to quell Harry's hunger after three bottles of formula. "Why are you always so hungry?" Lily asked as she passed her son over to James, who then started to burp him.
"I think someone spent too much time with his godfather" James laughed as he sat down at the table.
"I think you might be right. We should make sure Sirius doesn't eat around Harry too often." Lily replied while a look of worry appeared on her face.
James just couldn't contain himself. He bursted out laughing. It was a few minutes before he asked "Are you Serious?"
