Note: These drabbles will shift back and forth between time; so the character's age will change to fit the time frame... that is until the final drabble, when I might organize the posts to be in chronological order.
Additional: 'Calvin and Hobbes' author Bill Watterson created a strip focusing around the main character 'Calvin' storing a snowball in the freezer to throw at his peer 'Susie'. This is where my idea for the Snowball drabble originated.

I. Sweet Tooth (88)
"I'm telling you, Clara, she loves the stuff!" Paul said and held out another spoonful of lemon cake for his daughter to eat; who was only about one and a half years old.
"I wish you wouldn't give her that. She'll develop a sweet tooth...think of the cavities!"
"It won't do any harm...see?" The man tilted his head as Frida let out a loud laugh and nommed on the cake her father offered her.
Clara sighed lightly and said, "Not much more, okay?" She left the room.
Smiling, Paul let his daughter finish off the rest her cake.

Frida sat at her work desk, blowing gently on the bright teal feather of her favorite quill. 'Soooooo booooooreeeed.' She let her head slam onto her desk and moaned, "Ow."
She glanced up at her small clock after parting her hair in order to see. 'Only eleven o'clock?! GAH!'
The woman reached forwards and picked up her quill and started to fill out more paperwork, then glanced at the ceiling.
'I wonder if...no...I can't do that.' She scanned the room to see if anyone was watching. 'Just once.' Frida tossed the quill up towards the ceiling and...
It stuck.

III. Author's Choice - Trinket Box (80)
Frida entered her room at around seven in the evening and immediately walked to where a large dresser was. She pulled what looked like a very simple, wooden jewelry box closer to her and opened it up.
To her, it was nothing but a bunch of items. But to everyone else it appeared to be a sort of collection. There was a pair of emerald earrings, a necklace, a brass bangle, numerous photos, handwritten letters...even flowers that had been preserved.
With a sad little sigh, the young woman added another couple of photographs inside, and shut the lid yet again.

"Stop it. OW!" Frida swatted at her family's barn owl, who was flapping wildly around the thirteen year old's head. "Mooooooother!" The girl raced down the stairs and thundered into the kitchen, closely followed by Muzzy.
"For goodness sakes, Frida. Not in here!" Clara waved her hands, attempting to shoo her daughter and Muzzy out, though Frida had hid under a small table to take cover.
"He's losing it, Mum."
Clara sighed and let Muzzy perch calmly on a chair nearby. "He's just getting old, sweetheart. Perhaps a littl-"
"Insane."
"Mistook your hair for a nest maybe. I probably would."

Finally, to Frida's delight, it was dark. The little girl skipped out to the middle of the grassy lawn and shouted, "Daddy, hurry up!" She rushed back over when her father unpacked a telescope, setting it on it's tripod.
"You remember how to focus it?"
"Mhm!" Frida nodded her head and allowed her father to pick her up in order to see Mars through the eyepiece. "That's so cool..." She whispered and listened to her father chuckle.
"If you promise to take care of it, you can have it as an early birthday present."
"Yep! Promise." She replied, smiling widely.

"DAAAaaaaaaaaaadyyyyy!" Frida's young voice carried throughout the forest near her home. She was growing bored of waiting for her father to return with Calvin; who had darted off in search of nocturnal animals.
'Stupid Calvin.' Frida thought and kicked at a log that was neighboring the one she was sitting on. Her father had given her a torch, or as other people called it, a flashlight.
She entertained herself by clicking it on and off. And afterwards, started waving it around madly, illuminating the trees around her.
"Hehe!"
She wasn't one to be afraid of the dark. Never Frida.

"No no no NO!" Frida reached up and pulled her mother's hair. The terrible twos were certainly hitting the Bok family hard.
"Ouch! Frida, stop." It was kind, but firm.
Normally, Frida was a gentle, quiet, happy little girl...until it was time for her nap. That was when Frida snapped.
"NO NAP!" The little girl shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Goodness gracious. Lord help you if you ever have a child that acts the way you are right now."
Clara placed her daughter in her crib, then waited for over an hour for Frida to finally relax.

"I need to find a name for you." Frida said with a smile as the dog she had found sat down and watched her while his tail wagged.
The woman skimmed several books in her library, but nothing seemed to suit the creature.
Her eyes gazed to a top shelf. Frida got up and stood on a chair, "Lets see...whoop!" She had lost her balance and landed on the floor. A heavy book, an old Webster's Dictionary, fell and hit her shoulder.
'Maybe...' "Webster."
The dog tilted his head to the side.
"Yes. That's a good name for you."

"Mum, what's a muggle?" Frida asked. She was around five years old and had a small book in her hands.
"A muggle?" Her mother repeated and pursed her lips, as though wondering how to best explain the fact to her young daughter. "A muggle is a non-magic person. They can't use a wand."
The little girl blinked her enormous blue eyes and simply said, "Oh." Before gracefully running off elsewhere in the house. A moment later, she reappeared and asked, "No magic at all?"
"No darling. No magic at all." Her mother added while smiling, "You're not one.
Don't worry."

"Mum?...Mum?...Mother?" The last word was louder than the rest. Frida, a gangly fifteen year old was staring up at her mother, who was standing on one of the top rungs of a ladder trimming a very large shrubbery.
"Yes...yes, Frida?" Clara looked down at her daughter.
"Did you send the school my progress sheet for herbology?"
"Not yet, Frida." She went back to trimming.
"They need it sooooooon." 'Soon' was said in a sing-song voice.
"I won't forget, don't worry."
It was awfully nice to have a herbology researcher in the house. Less work during school term.

A few teenagers walked along a set of train tracks in the late afternoon, they couldn't have been older than fourteen.
"Get a load of this." Frida said suddenly and slid her way down the sloping hill and stopped next to a bright white fence that looked to be made of wire.
"Don't touch that!" A boy from the tracks called out.
"Why?" Frida responded and reached out to touch it with a single finger. "It's like...noth--"
*ZAP!*
Frida jumped backwards and landed on her backside. Electric fencing, she discovered, was not fun. She let out a quiet, "Ow."

"Frida...come on...don't." Micheal was whispering to his school friend as he witnessed her prepare to leave the common room.
"I have to." She swept her long brown hair behind her shoulders, "Leland said it only happens late."
"You could get caught." Micheal whispered back more urgently, "Morris could be lying. I never did trust him..."
"You don't like him because he's not in our house." Frida replied and peeked out of the Slytherin common room entrance. "Just don't say anything, 'kay?"
"Yeah...sure." The boy watched as the entrance closed. At least he had tried to warn his friend.

It was Quidditch tryouts again, and new team hopefuls where lined up on the field.
"Bok, right?" A tall boy asked Frida.
"Mhm." Frida nodded.
"Right, let's see how you manage..." The older boy threw a bludger at Frida without so much as a warning.
*CRACK!* The fourteen year old swung her bat and it smashed into the bludger, hurling it right back at the captain...who had thrown it at her. *Whack!*
"I'm sorry!" She said, rushing over to the boy.
"Don't be." He held his cheek, which was already dark red, "You've made the
team...little blind-sider...".

'Try not to worry...I'm sure it can be fixed.' Frida was trying to calm herself down.
The fourteen year old was blotting her damp eyes with a sleeve and seemed to be searching for something around the foot of her bed.
A very old-looking telescope sat on her covers...part of it's lens was cracked.
'I broke a promise...maybe I-' "OW!" Frida grabbed her left hand, and shortly after could hear footsteps from outside her room...followed by a voice.
"Everything okay?"
"Yeah, dad...fine." 'Act like nothing happened.' She pulled out a piece of glass and cringed.

"You mean it's mine!?" Frida exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement. She hopped up and down in Ollivander's...unable to control herself.
"It's yours darling, yes." Her mother said with a smile and paid the shopkeeper for the cost of the wand, and polishing kit. "No more sneaking mine now right?"
"Right!" The eleven year old said and happily watched the shopkeeper box up her wand, and wrap it up like the girl's mother asked. "I can't have it now?"
Clara chuckled a little, "You'll get it once we're home, Frida. No using it until you're at school, however."

Frida was sitting on one of the carriages that brought Hogwarts students back from Hogsmeade. The only other person with her was a fellow Slytherin student, who was the same year as her, and who was also holding Frida's hand.
"You wouldn't want to live in Italy? Patrick was asking her, "Why not?"
Frida cast her boyfriend a rather sad look and popped some candy into her mouth, avoiding the subject.
"Oh...right." His voice became quiet, *Ahem* "I'm sorry." He started to lean towards Frida, who had turned-
Kiss?" She asked blankly, holding out a small piece of chocolate.

"Jared, what is this?" Frida asked the man when he set a plainly wrapped present on the table in front of her.
"Nothing much." He was a tall man, very solid, and with a deep voice.
Frida blinked a couple times, then unwrapped and opened the box. Inside was a gorgeous emerald necklace and matching earrings. 'My ears aren't even pierced.' "Jared...I..." Her voice trailed off. "I can't accept this....Where did you get this?"
Jared gave a crooked grin, "Been in the family." He said, though it sounded suspicious.
Frida sighed, 'Why do men give such expensive gifts?'

'A report on the television.' Frida eagerly raised her hand, wanting that topic more than the others. To her displeasure, another student, a Ravenclaw received the Television as their topic.
"Miss Bok, you may take 'Muggle Photography' or 'Film Developing'."
'Nooooo!' The fourteen year old actually gripped the sides of her face. Out of all the subjects she wanted to write on, THOSE were the ones she wanted the least. "I'll take Photography." 'Ugh.' She rested her forehead on the table. Even 'telephone' would have been better...or 'kite flying'.

"Eep!" Frida jumped as the knarl she was tending to started to charge towards her.
"Nono...come back!" She hissed and hurried after it.
The young student assumed that Care of Magical Creatures would be easier than this...but perhaps she was assigned to the trouble-maker while everyone else had the well behaved knarls. 'Always me.' Frida thought and reached underneath a bench, carefully grabbing hold of Bandit, which was what Frida had named the animal, and walked over to the group of giggling classmates.
The professor sounded peeved. "Miss Bok, try to pay better attention to him. Thank you."

*Cough* "Ugh." Frida flopped onto her pillow again. She had been in bed for over a day now, and was starting to become terribly, terribly bored.
"Frida," Her mother said softly and sat down next to her daughter's bed, "Here...try this." She set down a small dark bottle and poured a small amount into a teaspoon.
The girl sat up a little and took the potion, which tasted like black pepper, and made her cough even harder. "Mum?" She whispered. Frida could feel her face start to swell and moaned in pain. She must be allergic to pepper-up potion.

The sixteen year old Bok girl walked briskly up her family's pathway that led through the forest and up to the front door.
Frida cast a fearful look over her shoulder and sped up into a jog. 'I hate the dark.' She thought and gained even more speed, finally able to see the lights of the house.
She could hear snapping branches behind her, which was enough to spook Frida to break into a sprint. 'Just a bird.' Frida told herself as she ran up the cobblestones and then collided with the front door, wrenching it open.
Safe at last.

"What do you want a bicycle for? Only muggles use those." A girl with dark blonde hair mentioned to Frida as they walked down a corridor together.
"Don't ask me why, I just think it would be fun to use one. You don't think that?"
"Not really." The blonde shrugged and adjusted the strap of her bag, "I thought you were a pureblood?"

*Hoot!* *tap tap*
An owl was tapping the window of it's owner in hopes of getting in, but a fourteen year old girl; who was hiding her head under a pillow, wouldn't let the bird inside.
"Muzzyyyy...go awaaaaaay..." Frida moaned into her mattress and peeked out from under her pillow for a moment, spotting the family's barn owl staring back at her.
'Great.' She hid yet again, 'Now he'll never stop.'
*hoot hoot* *tap tap tap*
The girl growled slightly and slid out of bed, walked over, opened the window and said, "Never say I did you no favors."

XXIV. Pajamas (98)
Every other Saturday was pajama day for Frida, which meant that it was a day to do nothing but lounge around and relax at home.
She flopped onto her couch one Saturday morning, and placed her new Siamese kitten onto her lap. The young woman chuckled as the kitten purred loudly, his tiny frame rattling.
"You're so sweet." Frida said and carefully pet the tiny thing.
The kitten yawned, stretched, and flexed his small paws, digging his delicate nails into Frida's pajama bottoms.
Frida cringed when she noticed the pajama fabric had pulled. 'Ah well.' She thought, 'Could be worse.'

"You're going with Matthew right?" Rebecca asked as she finished putting on some mascara.
"Yeah." Frida replied with a sigh and fastened up the back of her dress, making sure that it was as tight as possible. "Not looking forward to it really."
"It'll be fine." Becky said with a reassuring smile. "Just try to enjoy it. The Yule Ball doesn't happen too often."
"Mhm." It wasn't that Frida didn't like Matthew or anything, it was just that he was much too flirtatious for Frida to get along with all the time. 'He better be polite or I'll clobber him.'
