Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

Alone

Have you ever felt alone in the world,

Xehanna walked up to the table. She must've gotten up quite early for no one to be here. She didn't mind the silence though. She wondered if the house elves were up but that questioned answered itself when the coffee appeared in front of her as she sat. "You know me too well." She said to... obviously no one because no one was around. She sipped her coffee.

Jack sat down at an empty seat for breakfast and as he sat down tea and some toast appeared in front of him.

Kevin limped into the great hall seeing the slytherin table quite empty and sat down and started to pile his plate high with food

Xehanna turned to see two boys suddenly beside her. She thought it was rude that she had been sitting there and not saying anything so she spoke up. "Hi there. I'm Xehanna." She said her eyes turning orange for being happy with herself.

Grace entered the Great Hall for dinner. She was thinking about her first lessons, Transfiguration and Arithmancy. Transfiguration was fun until a first-year Ravenclaw had fainted. Although she had just seen two lessons, she thought Transfiguration'd be one of her favourites. Arithmancy'd been easy so far, but only at her third try could she succeeded in Transfiguration. She sighed, remembering she had a homework to do already.

When she looked at the table, she saw only three people were eating. She hadn't met any of them although she'd seen them somewhere. She greeted a "Hey!" to everyone cheerfully and started eating. Hogwarts food was delicious, she realised once more.

Kevin smiled at the two girls and said "Hey i am Kevin" Kevin continued to eat what was on his plate

"I'm Grace. Or Lesley, you can call." she said, then added "First year."

Kevin smiled at Grace and said "How are you settling into Hogwarts, i am in my second year"

"Hogwarts is just great!" she answered happily. "Just you know, the common room is a bit...wet. And I'm not used to it. Wow cool!" she said and took a bite from her chicken.

Kevin nodded at Grace and said "It does take a while to get used to but believe me once you have been here for a few months you will hardly notice it"

"Hope so..." she answered. She felt the urge to find a topic but she didn't know what else to say. She just continued chewing slowly.

Xehanna chimed right in. "Hi there! I'm Xehanna." she said. She could feel her eyes changing to orange from being happy. "3rd year." She added.

Anna-Bella sat down beside a third year who had introduced herself to someone else as Xehanna. "Do you mind if I sit here?" she asked. She hoped that this wouldn't be again one of those years where she had to introduce herself every time she spoke with someone.

Grace blinked at the new girl, Xehanna. Had her eyes just changed color? She stared in shock with her mouth open; then slowly, she realised she should shut it up when her face took an amazement expression. "Wow!" she exclaimed. She had just accepted hair changing, taking in all in a week felt like too much. "How did you-oh, you are from those metamorphoses, aren't you?" She pronounced the word with difficulty and hoped she said it right. "Can you change your hair too?" She wished she was one. But they were rare and no shock that she wasn't that lucky.

Iris came running into over to the slytherin table with Aaron, both soaking wet. Iris put luna's basket down on the bench and sat down next to her, breating heavily. she looked up and was suprised to find no teachers here yet.

Lyra came in to the great hall and sat down on the Slytherin table , her robes soaking wet, she looked around and saw another first year girl and boy sitting soaked on the bench too "what happened?" she asked as she grabbed her soaked robes trying to dry it with a spell , but couldn't think of one.

Kevin limped into the great hall with soaking wet robes and he was cold very cold what was going on

"oh! hello." Iris said, " I don't know but I hope it gets fixed soon!" she said thinking, "oh, what's going to happen with all of our things! my mum had bought me an amazing day time dress and i fell in love with it! It'll be ruined now!"

A shivering April emerged from the watery dungeons and walked over to her house table. Sitting down beside some of the other wet students, leaving a watery trail behind her, she looked around. "Does that happen often?" She asked. "It looked like water from the lake." April pointed out, curious of what people thought.

Aaron couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Iris! We're in Hogwarts! There are probably spells to dry off dresses," he said laughing.

"so! It will be still ruined!" Iris sighed audibly, "merlin, when did I become so materialistic? I shouldn't care about my dress when there are only a handful of us here."

Still holding Vicky's hand, Grace entered the Great Hall and collapsed at the table. Thanks to Clifford the Head Boy, she was just a bit wet. She didn't know how that happened but she realised she was so wrong to believe once made a magic lived until somebody undid it. She sighed and thought about her stuff again.

Aaron didn't know how to respond, so he just sighed. Aaron looked around, she was right, there were only a few Slytherins there. The rest are probably alright. "So what are we waiting for?" Aaron asked nobody in particular.

Iris knew he wasn't asking anyone in particular, but responded anyway, "the staff probably... and Clifford" she said, "where do you think we will be staying tonight, even if they fix it, I'm not sleeping in there." she said, beginning to sound a little worried again.
