Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

Shaunee sat down and waited for Laura to arrive. She pulled her tie a little looser and adjusted her blue flower ring on her right index finger.

Laura walked into the Great Hall and made her way over to the Ravenclaw Table, Shaunee by her side. Wow... she still hadn't gotten over how big it was in here. Pulling a Steak and Kidney Pie over to herself, Laura began to eat.

As she saw Shaunee adjust her tie, Laura looked down at her own. It didn't need ajusting, being already halfway down her shirt. She saw Shaunee playing with a ring on her finger. "That's really pretty," she indicated it with her head.

"Thanks." smiled Shaunee as she pulled over some lasagna and heaped it onto her plate.

Laura smiled at Shaunee and cut into her pie. Oh - it was wonderful! Better than any food she'd ever tasted, give or take a few of her mums meals. The Hogwarts house elves certainly were the best. "So Shaunee," Laura said, "How did your lessons go?"

Isabella slowly walked her way towards the Ravenclaw table. she was feeling bad and her stomach still ached slightly. she had no idea as to what caused that cramp like pain in her stomach. she was all the more feeling miserable that she missed her Transfiguration class
"i am going to be in a soup. i need to ask Laura about the class. i hope i havent missed anything," she thought and looked at the table to see Laura and Shaunee eating. she walked towards them and sat down next to Laura and said
"hey there people,"

Seeing Isabella walk towards her, Laura waved. "Hi Bella," she said. Then she noticed that something was wrong. "Bella, are you ok?" she asked. "You look really pale..."

"um...i am al...alright, just some stupid cramp in my stomach.on top of that i missed my 1st Transfiguration class because of this stupid thing. my stomach's still sore but i think i will be alright," she said with a small weak smile
"how much of my lessons have i missed?" she asked in a small voice.

Laura looked really concerned. Stomach cramps could mean anything. Anyhthing small, like the 'flu, or anything big, like...well, Laura didn't want to think about that.

"Well, in Transfiguration, we learnt how to vanish objects. The spell is Evanesco." Laura said thoughtfully. "You can always look up the notes in the study binder, and I still need to check to see if we have any homework."

Laura scrutenised Bella carefully. "Are you sure you're alright, Isabella? You don't want to go the the hospital wing?" she asked

"oh dear...is Evanesco spell difficult to do?" she asked.
"i am fine Laura, dont worry. um...i'll go to the hospital wing if it worsens," she added and patted her friend's arm and started to fill the plate with food. but she took only little servings of food. she didnt feel like eating much.

Laura looked again at Isabella. "Well, its ok, once you get the hang of it." Laura smiled.
"It's the wrist movement thats hardest. It's sort of a sharp circle." As she demonstrated, Laura said the word. "And when you flick your wand, and say Evanesco stuff's meant to go poof and dissapear! Just like th-" Laura trailed off, looking down at the table. "Oh..." she said, For her plate of food had vanished.

Isabella was carefully listening to Laura. she was watching her hand and wrist move and then 'plop'
Bella was stunned for a second
"wow, Laura...you did it," screamed Bella
"that is great!you got it right the first time you did it in class today?" asked Bella
suddenly Bella's stomach ache was pushed in the back of her mind. she closed her eyes and concentrated on the way laura flicked her wand and wrist.she sort of replayed it in her mind and then opened her eyes.
Bella gave a sharp circle movment and flicked her wand but said the incantation sort of...late so only small piece of the pie that she served for herself vanished. she looked at it and groaned.
"i will have to work hard," she said

Wow.....Laura was amazed. She actually vanished food, and a plate, by accident, without really concentrating....wow...Laura smiled as Bella tried. "I vanished a frog and a gummy worm, but it took lots of effort. Vanishing that pie was a complete accident!
"Thats really good Bella," Laura encoraged. "Just concentrate a bit more. Will it to happen. You can do it!"

"what! a frog and a gummy worm? how many things were we given to vanish?" Bella asked

"um...i am going to try it again," said Bella. she closed her eyes once again and concentrated on the way Laura showed her the wrist movement.
"say the incantation instantly when you flick," she said to herself. her brows creased when she concentrated. she opened her eyes and looked at the pie in front of her.
"ok...Evanesco," she said but this time too the pie was just in front of her. the circle wasnt right.
"arg..." Bella so wanted to learn this spell before their other class begins.she didnt want to lag behind or else what is the use being a Ravenclaw, she thought.
"i think i will practice this vanishing thing in our common room" she said looking at Laura.she was feeling weak again and her stomach twitched.
"damn it," she said and her hand went to her stomach once again.

Laura smiled. "Well, all the first and second years were given gummy worms, the third and fourth snails, and fith and sixth mice. Once we'd vanished them, we got to have another go, on something else."

Laura paused and watched Isabellas determined attempts. When she mentioned going back to the common room, Laura went to push her plate away, and then, remembering that she had vanished it, stood up. She noticed Bellas hand go to her stomach, and said "Bella, you need to go to the Hospital Wing. If your in this much pain...."

"um...no it is just some sort of a twitch...its alright...you go ahead...i'll eat something and come...i am sort of hungry too..." said Bella and managed a small smile but more looked like a grimace.

Laura looked at Bella with a concerned look on her face. "Well," she said. "If you're...sure then. See you later, Bella, hope you feel better!" With that Laura turned and, waving, walked out of the Great Hall, still maveling at its size.

Jack was starving as he entered the Great Hall. He knew that it was a temporary condition, because the chow at Hogwarts was the best. Taking a seat, he started filling his plate and his stomach.

He noticed some activity over at the Slytherin table. Some mischief, no doubt. He was hoping that it wouldn't interrupt his meal. When he accepted the Prefect position, he didn't consider that possibility.

Yummy in his tummy...he kept up the fork to mouth movement....

Satine hurried into the Great Hall and took her seat at the Ravvie Table....she was shivering with anticipation of what the Professor was going to announce....she knew that it probably didn't have too much to do with her, but her curiosity got the best of her and she had to come down and see what was going on.

Jenn zoomed down to the Ravenclaw table, her mind weeling like little snitches in her brain. Why was it soo important for them to come down to the Great Hall? Had someone died again like last year? She sure hoped not. She shivvered slightly at the thought, and folded her arms around her chest. Looking around, she spotted Satine and smiled slightly at the first year, waving half heartedly. "Do you know what's going on?"she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Seeing the student Kel was sitting by in the CR, Satine smiled and replied, "Well, I'm not really sure, but I'm really nosy so I thought I would run down here and see what was going on...I'm hoping they'll tell us why the dungeon flooded..."

Jule yawned and walked to the house table. She sat down and got little things to eat. She had a stuffy and a headache. "I'll go see the nurse after class." she said to herself and began eating. She looked around to see if any of her friends were around.

Grabbing a huge orange roll, "Hey Jules! You look tired today....are you feeling okay?"

"hey. I'm feeling kinda sick. But I dunno why. I was fine yesterday."

Grabbing for an apple from the middle of the table, she smiled and gave Jules a caring look, "Well, as soon as the announcements are made and the Nurse Intern gets up to leave, we should go stop in to see her...she was pretty amazing the other night after the dungeons flooded."
