British & Irish League All-Stars vs. Hogwarts

Session 1: Friday, July 10 @ 8pm EST
Session 2: Saturday, July 11 @ Noon EST

*Game will be played using the international Quidditch rules

It was a mild spring day with bright blue skies and fluffy white clouds floating effortlessly overhead. The grass was still soggy but alive. Decked out in his navy school officiating robes (he hated wearing gold), Professor Vindictus strode out onto the Pitch. "Welcome to today's special exhibition game. The students and Staff of Hogwarts versus the British and Irish League All-Stars! Give the teams a loud round of applause as they enter the Stadium!"

A loud creaking noise was heard and the gates opened to reveal two teams ready to take to the air.

Anastasia Bunbury zipped out onto the pitch, her red hair whipping lightly in the wind as she zoomed out to thunderous applause - or what sounded like thunderous applause, all for her of course. If she could have had a tiara right now she would SO have been wearing one. She was Cap'n Bunbunz, after all, and she was fulfilling her dreams of Quidditch honor and glory today.

The rest of the team would help fulfill those dreams, of course. Annie did a few laps around the pitch with a giant grin on her face, waving and blowing kisses to the audience as she waited for the "All Stars" to appear. Ahh what an ego trip she was on already, and they hadn't even won. Yet.

Professor Shackleton kicked off from the ground extremely hard and shot off like a rocket into the air. With a beater's bat in her hand, Macadrian made a lap of the stadium and eyed Max in his school official robes. Boy! She really wanted to knock him upside the head with her bat, but she had a feeling that taunting the official, even if he was her cousin, just before the match might earn them a penalty or two.

Sigh.

She'd just have to wait til after the match... and hold onto that bat.

And. YES! Finally!

This felt like forever ago, considering Quidditch was long forgotten since they got that forfeit thing. And she was Keeping. So much a reminder of how things where with Punz around.

Yet, this was entirely different, because, well…who on their sane mind decided that Bunbury was a Captain?! At least she didn’t make them dye their brooms pink, and for that she was grateful. A pink Silver Arrow was not going to look nice at all!

But leaving that aside, Quidditch was the word of the day and as soon as she heard Professor V she flew out there, into the Pitch and up to the goal hoops, failing at following the temporary Captain, if they were meant to. Focused, and ready to have fun.

Man, she missed her bat sooo much.

I am an idiot. I am an idiot.

You know I am an idiot because when I had to ask my sister to borrow her old broomstick, she LAUGHED at me.

Hmph!

Well I’ll just have to show her.

Caroline liked heights, which might be the only reason she agreed to this ridiculous exercise. So as she took to the air and flew into the stadium with her team which was Captained by her mortal enemy (who put her on Seeker, surely in the hope she would get some terrible injury. Vindictive, wily one that one), she suddenly felt… unprepared.

Or not, or NOT!!!

She clung tightly to the broom, grinning like a maniac, determined not to show how positive she was that she was going to make an idiot of herself in front of the entire student body.

Paris flew out of the locker room behind the rest of her team.

This was nerve wrecking. She was actually playing in a Quidditch game with not only professors, but with real Quidditch players. And she was easily the smallest person in the skies. Paris grinned and swung her bat around. At least she was flying high and carrying a big bat.

Momentarily she was tempted to take a few practice swings at Bunbury, but she was trying to be nice to her and they were at least speaking to each other like adults and not a pair of bratty gits in the sandbox.

But she resisted the urge as she took a few laps around the pitch waving at some of her friends and waiting to see the All Stars.

Jack Fritzera streaked out into the pitch, feeling very much at home on his normal Cleansweep broom. The weather was MUCH better than their last forfeited match, and the energy was amazing around the pitch. And plus, he was playing with the professors! It was interesting and slightly scary at the same time--especially since Professor Mac had a bat. Oh, and Bunbury was captain too.

Yes, scary. But exciting. He flew around the pitch once as he felt the cool wind on his face before finally slowing down to join the rest of the team. Let the game begin!

Why was he doing this to himself? Really, why had he agreed to this? Lars Svensson barely managed to stay upright on his broom as he flew out with the rest of his team--slowly, wobbly, and regrettably farther from the ground than he was comfortable with. It certainly was a good thing that he did not have to carry one of those Beater's bats. Those truly would have made him lose his balance and fall.

He would not fall. If he fell, Lars was certain that he would never be able to face the students or his colleagues again. He could handle teetering on his broom like an infant taking his first steps. Falling, though, would be a blow to his pride that not even Lars Svensson could bear.

Kip stepped out into the fresh air. A contagious smile slipped onto his lips. This was going to be an interesting game. Interesting indeed. He whipped his leg over his trusty Firebolt and he was off.

Looking off toward Emma, he let a chuckle escape from his lips. "I'm betting on you Greene." he said in a rough British brogue. He gave her a witty smile before lining up next to Rhy and Kizzie. Let's get this game started!

Emma Greene mounted her broom confident she could take the Hogwarts staff easily. She wasn't a pro for nothing.

She kicked off the ground and sped into the pitch to a roaring crowd. She smiled as she remembered playing for her house team as a student. It brought back so many good memories.

She smiled at the crowd and waved at them. She could never get enough of this.

Drake Warren, yes THAT Drake Warren kicked off the ground furiously his hair whipping behidn him as he raced into the clear sky above him. The grin on his face was very catching, his perfect white teeth glinting off the sun. flying was his life, Quidditch his gift. Doing a small loop-de-loop he waved his bat at the many people in the stands as he did a lap around the stadium.

Quinn zoomed on his broom into the stadium, making sure to give off the winning smile that he possessed. His hands waving at adoring fans while his finger pointed out the cutest of cute girls in the crowd. Once that was over and finished, or so he finished it himself, he flew into position, next to Drake of course, and waited until the whistle blew. His eyes narrowed as now he meant business.

Colin “Hot Scot” MacKenzie, normally Keeper for the Montrose Magpies, came into view as he soared onto the Quidditch pitch. With a large grin on his face, he flew to the middle of the stands, his team following him, as waved around at the crowd sitting in the stands. Before reaching the middle of the field, MacKenzie dove to the ground, shot up just before nailing the ground, and completed with a graceful manly man flip or two in the air before looking at the competition - Hogwarts.

Glancing over the heads of the Hogwarts players, he snorted quietly to himself. This’ll be easy, he thought, his eyes stopping at the redheaded woman on the Hogwarts team. Well, she was pretty gorgeous for a professor. No doubt about that. Winking at her, MacKenzie returned his attention back to his teammates.

It’s go time.

Rhys was distracted by two attractive females on the Pitch. The first was a blonde who was armed with a bat and the other was a redhead who was waving at the students in the Stands. No evidence of rings on their left hands, either. Now that was a good sign. And now it's time to focus on the game.

Leaping onto his broom, he sped out onto the Pitch and flew by the Stands, flexing his muscles at the fans and smiling before showing off on his broomstick by doing a handstand before settling into position before Colin could chase him down.

Confident as ever and ready for the game, Kizzie Ainsley of the Holyhead Harpies team followed after several of her teammates onto the Hogwarts School Quidditch Pitch, broom in hand.

Flicking a blonde strand from her face that had come loose from her ponytail, Kizzie took her place between the two boys: Rhys and Kip. Grinning, she muttered an unnecessary "good luck" and mounted her broom.

Max watched as the teams took to the pitch and secretly vowed to hurt his brother if anyone on the Hogwarts team sustained major injuries. Rex talked me into this. 'Oh, don't worry Max! It's just for show! Besides, if you don't host the game then you don't get the new broomsticks.' Argh!. It took fifteen minutes for the teams to settle into place and checked the names that were on the rosters.

With a simple nod, he addressed the players who were assembled overhead. "I know that everyone is familiar with the rules and I want to remind each of you to play your positions," he said as he released the Snitch and Bludgers into the air. "We're playing with the international rules which allow for time outs and sparks to be shot into the air when penalties occur. Ready? On my whistle. One . . . two . . . THREE!"

A shrill whistle was heard and it was a blur of colors as the players zoomed into position.

Like a woman at a sale table of designer merchandise, Anastasia Bunbury is quick to get her greedy hands on the Quaffle and tries desperately not to look at the opposing Chasers who are heard saying 'Hey, sweetheart! Hand that to me so you don't get hurt!' 'Oh, you think you're hot stuff, well we're gonna let you score just this once!'. Ignorance works for Bunbury as she zooms down the Pitch . . . she enters the scoring area where Colin MacKenzie sits on his broom with an amused expression on his face . . . she shoots . . . DING! Professor Bunbury has scored for Hogwarts!
