Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room! Boys dormitories are upstairs and down to your left, girls, the same on your right. You'll find all of your belongings have already been been brought up.

Here is the perfect place to relax after a hard day of school, study, trade chocolate frog cards, play exploding snap or gobstones and to just have fun with your friends. For your own sake, dont let it get to messy or Professor Dumont will have you scrubbing it spotless with your toothbrush.

Herminny exited the nightmare of an opening feast and headed to the Gryffindor common room and started to perk up realizing it was finally over as she entered the Gryffindor common room n waited for some more of her fellow housemates to arrive.

Trixie walked into the common room graciously. It looked even better than she imagined. She plopped down onto one of the comfy chairs and decided to lay there for a while. The experience of being here was quite exhilarating. Then she saw that another girl was there too. She hesitated then said "Hi," and gave a little wave.

Sarah followed Trixie into the Common Room. It was just awesome. A grin flashed across a face before she could suppress it. She looked around, walked slowly towards the chintz armchairs by the fire. She dropped herself beside Trixie. "Wonderful, this place, isn't it?" she said excitedly. She felt as though she was back home. Sarah noticed Herminny sitting near them. "Hey Herminny, had a nice feast?" she asked her smiling.

"You got that right!" gasped Trixie. She just realised that she had alot of items to unpack. She would go to the girl's dorm when Sarah did. "So have you got a load to carry?" she asked Sarah. She blushed because she might have looked the weirdo carrying a million bags. She did tend to oerdo things. This chair was so cosy she could have slept in it. Which she felt like doing!

Mia looked around her as soon as she entered the common room. Heaving a sigh of satisfied relief,she grinned at the others. She knew Herminny and Trixie, but she wasn't sure about the other girl. She had heard her name during the sorting. Wait...was it Sarah? Yes, that was it. "Isn't this fun?", she said dreamily,"I've been dreaming about this place for years. All my cousins were in Gryffindor and they had so many stories to share. I can't believe I'm finally here!"

Lizzie entered the common room, walked across it without talking to anyone (she didn't know anyone in there yet) and sank deeply into one of the armchairs near the windows. She was so tired, but had decided to wait here until some of her friends got here. They would... eventually.

Trixie saw Mia enter. Wow she remembered her name! It was a start! "Hey Mia and yes it's fabulous!" she said giggling. She twiddled about with her hair a little. "Oh Mia, are you trying out for the Quidditch Team?" she asked curiously. She wanted to get to know many people who were. It would be great it all her friends would enter.

Herminny felt like she was hanging out alone in the common for what she felt like forever when she suddenly noticed 3 people walk in that she recognized from the feast and was so giddy with excitment when some of them actual adressed her and she found it so cute that one of the reactions of a firstie she had befreinded had a priceless look of awe and responded saying,

"Hey, I recognize you, you were talking to Sarah about going out for quiddich, I'm going ot for that too, I'm Herminny by the way but I did'nt catch you're name at the feast, care to share"

Herminny started to think about this question considering when she left the hall she felt so relived to be out of there after all that had happened that night but was that the right attitude to have that the feast was terrible juat because of the craziness in the beginning when in the end after introducing herself to a few people she realized she was actually starting to make new freinds and answered Sarah's question daying, "Yeah, I did have a pretty good feast, so I overheard you were gonna try for quiddich, what position are you vying for, I'm going for quiddich too though I'm going for any position keeping my options open and I'm gonna try my best and hope for the best", she said realizing it was at this feast she was starting to get over her shyness issues that had held her back in years past and she was starting to blossom into a social butterfly.

"Well believe it girl, you've made and believe me the fun has just begun, this place I can promise you is as awesome as anyone could tell you and then some, "I'm Herminny by the the way, and you are."

James entered the Common Room and sighed. He was back! He walked over to his favorited chair and sat down. Under the cushion was the galleon he had left last year. Seemed like the house elves don't steal. James looked around at his fellow Gryffindors.

After putting her stuff away, Dem walked down to the common room to relax by the fireplace. In between her favorite chair sat Lizzie and Sneeze. "Hey guys!" she went and sat down, letting the chair swallow her in to its softness. "Its so nice to be back, isn't it?" she asked them. The warmth of the fire welcomed her back to Hogwarts, and the comfy red chair seemed to remember her body shape as it pulled her in. Finally back. she kept repeating in her head.

Lizzie smiled, a bit sleepy, as she saw both Sneeze and Dem enter and sit in chairs beside hers. Hey guys she said with a yawn. I'm exhausted, yet not tired she said with a grin. But it is very nice to be back, I agree with you on that Dem she said.

Chris walked into the common room. Wow mustly everybody in there were firsties. Weird... He looked around and saw Lizzie, Demetria, and Sneeze. "Hey" He said sitting down in one the armchairs.

Hayden skipped into the common room and stumbled a bit going through the portrait hole. She smiled and went to sit right in front of the fire. Home. She leaned against the base of the couch and sighed.

"I know. Who would've thought that putting stuff away woould be so tiring?" she smiled. She was trying her hardest to stay awake.

"Hey, Chris." Dem picked her arm up to wave, then let it collapse back down on the arm of the chair. "How was your summer?"

Anna climbed through the portrait hole and into the Gryffindor Common Room. As she did when she walked into the Great Hall, she paused for a moment, took a few deep breaths, then got a nice, long, good look around. This moment was yet another of her lasts. She'd shopped for school supplies in Diagon Alley for the very last time, rode the train to school for the very last time, had her last Start-of-Term feast, and now she was starting a brand new school year for the very last time. She shook her head, trying to force away the upsetting thoughts, then continued on into the Common Room with a smile.

"Hey, everybody!" she greeted. "Ready for a new school year?" She plopped down on a nearby couch, the same one she'd called 'her favorite' since her first year, then glanced around the room. Most of the first years had made it in, as well as a few of the returning Gryffindors. "Well, ready or not, here it is," she said, with a laugh.

Lizzie smiled at Chris and Hayden as they entered too. Seems like people are leaving the feast, finally she said with a smile. Hey Chris nice to see you again. Sorry I left the great hall in the middle of our conversation, but I got so tired of just sitting there... she mumbled.

Suddenly Anna was in there too, and Lizzie gave her a wide smile saying Hey Anna, this is your last year right? Congrats to being Head Girl she smiled.

Hayden smiled as Anna came and felt a twinge of sadness at the same time. It was her last year here and then she was off to live her life."Hey Anna." she sighed. "I'm ready for a new school year and can't wait to see what the classes are like this year. Are you ready?"

"Hey, Lizzie! I must have missed you at the feast, or else I would have said hello a lot sooner. How've you been?" she asked. She frowned slightly at Lizzie's next question, then slowly nodded. "Yup, last school year. After this one, I'm off to try and survive in the big, bad adult world," she said, laughing playfully. The adult world seemed big and scary right now, but Anna imagined it was sort of similar to being a first year at Hogwarts---you thought things were going to be so much harder than they really turned out to be. A smile broke out on Anna's face when Lizzie congratulated her on being Head Girl. "Thank you! I'm really excited!"

"Oh, hey, Hayden! I guess I seemed to have missed most of you at the feast. Not sure how that happened, although, it could have something to do with the fact that I was busy with a few of our lovely new first years," she said, thinking back to her encounters with Mat and Legend at the feast. "Anyway, I guess I'm ready. Like I said, though, ready or not, here it comes! I'm really hoping we get that house cup, especially since it's my last year and all."

Lizzie smiled back at Anna. Yeah I guess the world of adults is kinda scary. It just seems very far away for me still.. she said. But I'm sure you'll do just fine, though we're going to miss you around here she smiled, a bit sad.

Chris watched as Hayden walked into the common room. "Hey Hayden. How was the rest of your summer?" He asked her.

"Umm it was good. Got to see an old friend." He told Dem smiling just thinking about it.

"Hey Anna." He said as he watched her sit in a couch nearby. "Oh by the way congrats on the Head Girl thing." He said to her. And took another glance around the common room. It felt good to be back, but then stuck his hand in his pocket and felt that little pain when he hit the bruise. He bit his lip fighting back a smiling.

"Oh it's alright. Everyone seems sort of tired." He said as he looked at them.

"Thats okay. I probably won't see much of you seeing as your the Head Girl." Hayden smiled."How are the new firsties? I haven't really met any of them." She laughed silently then got a little sad again as she mentioned this year being her last."Well if we want that cup we need to start working hard because we're already in the negatives."

Hayden smiled."Hey Chris." She shrugged."It was better. I finished my song and leaned to play it all the way through even though I'm the one that wrote it. Thanks, by the way, for that one lesson." She smiled happily,"How was the rest of your summer?"

Dem looked up from the fire. More epople were entering the room. "Hey, Anna. How was your summer?" she asked her. "Oh yea and congrats on being Head Girl." she smiled. "Does anyone know how we got into the negatives already?" she asked everyone. "I mean, really? Its only the first day. Who could've possibly lost us 50 points on the first day??" she asked. It kind of frustrated her how dumb some people could be. We already have -50 points and its only the first day. Great way to start off the year guys. she thought to herself.

Lizzie listened to all the others talking, watching the ceiling of the room. I agree with Hayden, we'd better start working hard on getting points right away she said, then yawned and added with a smile Well rather tomorrow perhaps.

Eyeing Anna she said I saw those firsties weren't too nice, what did they do? She was wondering why Anna had to take care of all those crazy firsties, and secretly she wondered when Chris was going to show up. She hadn't seen him at all since she'd visited his house this summer, and he was the new prefect...

"Hey there Herminny, my name is Trixie!" said Trixie beaming at her. This place truly did feel like home. "You are trying out too...what position?" she asked. Trixie had already signed herself up and hopefully she would make it through. Trixie was still in the armchair, she wanted to just sit there forever. It was so soft...
