Professor Riddle drifts to the edge of the forest, peeks in and then, with a wink at a centaur, turns to the students, who look nothing short of petrified, with a reassuring smile.

*Nadia follows her, looking around. The Centaurs weren't as good looking as she had been told, she thought.*

"Hi," she said anxiously.

-follows her also...looks aroud ad sees Centaurs-

"er-hello-"

Alex walks up from behind the rest of class and looks at the forest, startled by the centaurs she quickly calms herself. "Hi" She says akwardly.

Reign's eyes widen, 'this place is scary'

Hermy follows. "Um..professor...are we going in there?", she asks nervously.

"Oh no, I wouldn't do that Nadia." she said, as she put herself between the girl and the centaur. "They have kindly agreed to let us use their part of the forest, with the understanding that we don't try to talk to them or try to find out anything about how they read the stars.

And yes Hermy, we are going in there, but rest assured, you're safe with me."

The teacher watched nervously as the creatures galloped off.

"I chose their part of the forest in particular because you rarely find any lethal creatures here. Therefore, in theory, it should be safe for you to wander as you work, within reason of course.

Now, I suppose you're all wondering why I've brought you here. Well, for good reason actually. We will today be studying the art of Apantomancy and Xylomancy. The first relates to the appearance of creatures, sightings and the other of fallen trees, twigs and disturbed earth.

If you'd all be so kind as to follow me deeper into the forest, near this small clearing, I'd like you all to walk around in groups of a few and observe the area for any signs of creatures, or fallen twigs, branches, trunks or disturbed earth, caused by creatures preferably.

I will walk around and observe you and ask you what you think the patterns mean or what impact the appearance of a particular animal could mean, what impact if could have on your future.

Now, off you go." she chuckled, clearly amused at the bemused faces before her.

-looks at Reign and nods her head-

"i-i agree with you"

Alex timidly takes a few steps deeper into the forest. The tree hover overhead and a shiver runs down her spine.

She looked slightly disappointed at the lack of enthusiasm but then mused she probably shouldn't be surprised at all. They were too used to being coddled by classrooms, they had no idea what the real wizarding world was like.

"C'mon now, don't be shy..." she urged, gently.

Reign starts slowly walking around the forest, looking at the ground looking for animal prints or dung or something, unsure of what else she is suppose to be looking for.

"Professor there are some twigs over here that look like they have been trampled on"

Hermy walks farther in to the forest and begins examing the ground. She walks sloser to the trees. "Professor, over here there are broken twigs and it looks like the ground has been swept a little."

-slowly begins looking around a bit also-

"Usually, when dirt looks swept it indicates that the weather has been rather windy, almost spoiling at trace of a pattern we might be able to detect."

She hovered over to Reign, "And why sort of creature do you think could've trampled on these. What do the markings look like?"

Hermy walks over to look where the Professor and Reign are looking.

Reign thinks hard.

"Hmm, well it could have been the Centaurs, it looks kinda like some hoof prints, or it could have maybe been a unicorn, but it looks a little too 'trampled' for it to be them, maybe the thresals?? I just dont know."

-Looks over at the ground-

Centuars, professor?

Professor the hoof marks don't seem to be very deep. It must be from a very light animal. Maybe a young unicorn?

Nadia started to check for things around teh forest. She first didn't saw anything. Then, ther first thing got her eye:

"Professor," she called. "I can see a pathern in the earth... is some kind of zig ziagging, but with three paths which goes in parallic lines with each other - and, oh, there are ravens --"

As soon as she said that, a hord of ravens -or birds alike the ravens- flew up in the sky, shadowing even more all of them. They were flying at top speed, pushing each other out of their way violently and finally hurting each other. Nadia, somehow, knew that was not the behavious of those birds.

Nadia looked down when covering hersekf from the blow of air that swept over her face, and there she thought she saw a... bunny? She blinked once and it was there no longer. Ïnstead, just beneath her feet, there was a disturbtion in the earth, lifting it up.

Nadia stared, then, slowly, she started inscribing the things she had seen.

Footprint, and maybe made by horse-like creatures but -- wait, they might also be of a heavy gnome if you see it like.... this *she made a weird gesture with her neck, craking it to the side*

Absent mindedly, the Professor ducked at sight of the Ravens and thought she saw a bunny too. Some of the students were mentioning hoofed animals, centaurs and unicorns.

"A hoofed animal, almost any kind, means good luck will come your way. Unicorns usually represent unexpected wealth and centaurs represent wisdom.

However, raven's are not good at all. Especially hordes of them. One alone normally forewarns of illness. Nadia, dear, are you feeling alright?" she asked, fearfully, concerned greatly that there had been more than just a couple of them.

"Maybe it would be advisable for you to go see the Nurse, just to be safe..."

-a concerned expression fell over her face- Nadia? Are you alright...
