Shannon walks in and takes a seat near the front of the room just as Professor Phoenix steps out thru a door in the back. She calls to her "Is there anything I can help you with, professor?"

"Thanks, but I'll manage fine," Professor Phoenix smiled.

"Ok" she says as she turns back to her bag and starts taking things out of it, preparing for class.

Lexy walks in with her bag slung ever her sholder and filled to the brim with books, she had her quill and a small notebook in her hand and was scribbling away, she quickly closed the notebook and stuffed it into her pocket along with her quill. She put her bag on the back of a chair near the front and sat down, taking in the scene around her. So many plants...she smiled at the proffesor

Good morning Proffesor!

Serena came into the room shivering, and walked to a seat furthest away from the door, hoping it would be warmer. "I'm glad I wore my heavy cloak today!" she said.

Riiya walked into the greenhouse lugging her white bag. she glanced at everyone inside. searching for someone she knew, she hugged herself, feeling a strong artic breeze blowing through her. her fair cheeks turned even more paler, making her silver-blue eyes more distinguist than before. her eyes dazed as she glanced through the room, making a few students stare at her. she blushed red when they did and finally spotted Lexy. she walked over to her and said, "hi. can i join you yet again? "

Riiya placed a cloth on the floor, followed by her white bag on top of it. she stroked her hair once and pulled her robe tighter. "even if its thick with cotton, it sure can't stop this chill," Riiya said to LExy.

Nadia entered the Greenhouse with a small yawn. Again. She tried not to call attention too much and sat on a random seat the the back. She wasn't sure she would not fall asleep in this class... it was always so relaxing....

Save for the Dransul activitie... She shuddered.

kagome walks into the green house smiling.she looks at the professeur. "hello" she said to her a looked to see if she saw any of her friends

-walks in and sits down by Nadia and smiles at her-

::genie walks into the classroom and takes a seat. she sees afton and smiles at her::

Lexy smiles at Riiya then makes room for her on the cold, mossy floor.

of course! oh yes, it is rather chilly...

Lexy pulled her coat tighter around her and smiled, she loved cool weather, but summer was always comforting after a long, cold winter.

Riiya smiled at Lexy. she began to rub her hands together, trying her best to warm them. she turned to LExy and whispered, "do you have any extra gloves by any chance?"

After a few minutes, Professor Phoenix reappeared in the conservatory, carrying flat green plastic trays that were stacked on top of each other. She put the tower of trays down on the desk at the front, then pulled off her gloves and started the lesson.



"Good morning, class… Yes, yes, I know that it is cold here now. I am sorry, but this is the temperature the plants in this greenhouse need. The other conservatories are kept warmer, so we'll start working in those more often as winter approaches."



Ignoring the stack of trays, she picked up a bottle that had a spraying contraption fixed to it, usually to spray plants with soft veils of water. It was empty.



"First, today we will be preparing a nutritional mixture," she wiggled the empty bottle in the air, "that we will then feed the Hawan Fungi—a type of mushroom as you will see later—in these trays. I hope you have your dragon hide gloves with you, because touching fungi with bare hands is not necessarily a good idea. To start without further ado, please come forth and collect one of these spraying bottles.

-gets out her dragon hides gloves, then gets up and goes and get a spray bottle and returns to her seat-

Shannon steps to the front, takes a bottle and returns to her seat, taking her dragonhide gloves out her bag as she sits.

Riiya walked in front and picked up two of the spraying bottles on the table and walked back. she handed one over to Lexy. she then took out her wand and chanted, "accio gloves". soon a pair of new dragon hide gloves flew into the greenhouse towards her. she caught them and wore them. she felt so glad, as her hands felt warmer...
she lifted her hands and asked, "what does the Hawan Fungi do? since its not a good idea to touch them, i guess its not edible..?"

Lexy smiled and took the spray bottle Riiya gave her, she nodded her thanks then began diggin through her back searching for her gloves. She had to take out 3 books and 4 extra scrolls of parchment before she found them at the very bottom of the bag. She blushed a deep red and she quickly put on the gloves and stuffed her belongings back into her bag.Then she rased her hand

Do they cause sort of rash or reaction to the skin?

Nadia stepped forwards to take a bottle and took and put on her Dragonhide gloves just as immediately. She waited for further instructions, seeing she couldn't comprehend how they were doing this.

"what actually causes a rash?" Riiya asked, feeling curious.

Lexy turned to Riiya and shrugged

i suppose it's some kind of chemacle--or magical reaction...

She rubs her hand together, she loved to feel of her dragonhide gloves and turned back to the front of the class, with thoughts running back and forth inside her head.

"oh..." she looked down at her arms and remembered this morning...she began to fiddle with her fingers subconciously, as she felt unsure and nervous.

Kay puts on her dragon hide gloves and walks up to the desk where Professor Phoenix placed the trays. She collects one of the spray bottles and returns to her seat, awaiting further instructions.

Gary, a harried Slytherin first year who hasn't actually been in any classes really (barring a DADA class where he helped a sixth-year let loose some lethifolds and has been in detention since) rushes in, glad to see he has made it to a lesson for a change, though he is quite late and it is rather cold in here. The first thing he notices is the giant Venemous Tentacula.

"Um, Professor Phoenix, considering tat the Venemous Tentacula seeds are Class-C Non-Tradeable substances, how did you manage to get one in the first place?"

The professor stares at him in a bit of a nasty manner, causing Gary to shut up, grab out his dragon-hide gloves (which are a bit frayed and patched from playing with some salamanders near Hagrid's hut) and grabs the spray bottle, just pleased to ahve amde it to a class for a change. Even if it is freezing in the greenhouse and some plants vines seem to be trying to attack his feet, as per usual...

"Not edible, no, but not really damaging to your skin either. We just don't want you to start growing fungi-fingers," Professor Phoenix joked. "If everyone has a bottle with spraying contraption, I will give out the ingredients for the nutritional mixture," Professor Phoenix said, walking through the classroom and handing each student a wooden box.



"Inside these boxes, you should find the following," she continued, scribbling a list on the blackboard.





-A sachet with black and blue sparkling powder (crushed Doxy droppings)

-An elongated spoon with small tip

-A sealed test tube with a turquoise liquid (cobalt diluted with little water)





"If you have these three things inside, I ask you to fill up half of your spraying bottle with water from the stone basin on your right. If some things are missing, I have more of these supplies up front, so just check if whatever you need is there."
