*Madame Rowena bustles over to a deserted section of the library and smiles at the assembled students who are standing by the fireplace. She pulls out her wand and soon numerous puffy arm chairs are arranged in a circle. She sits down setting down her load of books next to her chair and the students do the same*

"I am happy to see that so many of you have returned to the book club. I'm sure all you know the guidelines but here they are again for a refresher:

1. New members do not need to ask whether they can join or not. Just sit down and give us a review or recommendation of your favorite book that all of us should read. Providing pictures of the covers or your own personal experiences that you have had with the book is a great addition to add to you review.

2. We will all take turns around the circle and give recommended readings for the week and we'll just compile a continuous list of all the books mentioned here by the quick-quill I have set up.

Well, those are the things I wanted to cover. Now, is there anyone who would like to go first in the circle? This is strictly on a voluntary basis and if you do not feel comfortable speaking, no worries, because there is bound to be someone who does."

*Madame Rowena scans the circle and sees a hand up into the air*

"How about you? It looks like you are eager to start out session." she states cheerfully.

*The circle draws their attention to the student who has raised their hand*

"Excuse me, but may I just watch, I'm not really sure if I want to join or not. Would that be alright?"

*Lily asks feeling a little bit uncomfortable with everyone watching her and all*

Valentine raises her hand to volunteer to recommend her book after Rose. "I would recommend the Kushiel Trilogy by Jacqueline Carey. The first book is KUSHIEL'S DART and it is followed by two remarkable books. All three are written in beautiful language and have a very exquisite plotline." She pauses, thinks, and then adds, "If you are offended by prostitutes, I wouldn't suggest reading this book, though."

Just think that I should drop some titles of muggles classics that I personally enjoy very much.

For those who enjoy a heavier read. James Joyce's Dubliners, Zorba the Greek & Fifth Business. For the definitive King Arthur tales look for Le Morte D'Arthur. The new movie which has just come out Ella Enchanted a book with a cinderella twist that I enjoy. I find the movie quite disappointing in some ways so read the book first if you're keen to get the true author's intent. Stone Angel for those of you who enjoy canadian authors. And for those who enjoy a little bit of magical realism pick up One Hundred Years of Solitude, but make sure you're ready for it. That's all for now! I'll be back with more.

I have a few books I'd like to recommend.
Swollowing Stones is a very good book we read in my 9th grade Honors class, it was really powerful and left me confused!
Time Enough For Drums is an awesome book by Ann Rinaldi, one of my fave authors. This is an historical fiction (which if you don't know, means it's a fiction book based on historical events) and it has a bit of rommance (which is always fine) And I reccomend and Ann Rinaldi book (A Break with Charity, The Last Silk Dress etc. etc.)
Another one is Rage by Richard Bachman/Stephen King. This is a crazy book, and is PG-13, if not R. It's a bit graphic and just a tiny bit disturbing. But a very good read overall!
And last but not least, Interview with the Vampire, the timeless vampire novel by Anne Rice, part one of the Vampire Chronicals. If you've seen the movie or "Queen of the D@mned" then you'll like it (it's ten times better!!)
