Professor Rae struggled to open the door to the classroom, nearly tripping over the door frame on her way in. In her arms sat a quite heavy something that was covered in a large star-spangled cloth. She inched it carefully onto her desk before heaving a great sigh of relief that the task was done. Brushing her hands off, Professor Rae crossed the room. After removing her wand, she flicked it, causing the sconces on the walls to flame to life.

"There now," she watched the fire light dance merrily on the walls, then turned to wait for her students to enter.

Nadia sat in a spare desk and brought her notes and things from her bag, wondering what was in store for them.

"Hello, professor," Nadia said. "Had a nice weekend?"

Kali sat in one of the empty desks near the middle of the room. She then got her notes, quill, etc. out of it.

"Hello Professor!"

"Hello," Professor Rae greeted her students merrily. "I'm very glad to see you are so prompt. And yes, Nadia, I had a lovely weekend. Thank you for asking. I hope yours was also pleasent?"

Arkee yawned and rubbed her eyes as she walked into the classroom.

'Don't... fall... asleep," she mentally scolded herself. She sat behind Nadia, knowing that the well-learned student would be very talkative and would be likely to prevent her from falling asleep with all her chatter

Eve sat quietly in her seat, awaiting the begginging of class. She had her large feather quill ready with her green ink and parchment. She brushed her bangs away from her face and looked at the Professor.

The professor looked excited as she nodded towards the covered object. "You'll see. Let's just wait for a few more students, and then we can begin."

Alicia walks in and sits next to eve and whispers "i wonder whats under the cloth?" She takes out her things and sets them on the desk.

Hello Professor! How are you doing today? Sonam asks as she comes in and takes a seat. She takes out her quill and some parchment and her wand hoping that this may be a lesson where we will use it...

She stares at the cloth covered object with interest....

Maybe we will use our wands she thinks

"Alright, students, I can see you are ready to begin, and I am very anxious to start as well. Today, I've brought you something very special, something I found in my office."

She whipped the cloth off of the object to reveal what appeared to be a large glass fish tank, empty of water, containing a pile of grayish-blue stones. "Does anyone know what I have here?"

Sonam fumbles for her textbook, Fantastic Beasts and where to Find them. She flips through the pages eagerly and sadly comes up with nothing.

She wildly guesses, "A shapeshifter?"

Katelyn walks into the class room with a big smile on her face, and waves her arm around to greet the proffessor.

"Oi Proffessor! Would there be some kind of fish in there?"

*raise hand* Is that one of those tanks to keep things in an innact¡ve state, err... I don't know if I'm expressing myself correctly. I mean to say those tanks, like that that once was in the Depeartment of Mysteries and kept brains in them and that keep the brains from attacking you...

"Or maybe one of those muggle thing- you know, the ones which had a, err, ecosystem in them... it surely don't look like a dark item..."

"No, Sonam, not a shapeshifter. And, yes, Nadia, I have spelled the tank to keep this," she tapped the tank with her wand, "from affecting you in any way. There are magical containment spells that keep Dark magic or the affects of Dark magic in. I've used one on the tank."

"What I want you to consider is what is in the tank."

Sonams think a bit more. She raises her hand. "Professor you said you spelled the tank to keep the objects from affecting us. Are they some sort of powerful stone like the Philosopher's Stone"?
