Default Inquisitorial Hall

Unless you're apart of the Inquisitorial Committee, this is the last place you want to find yourself within the castle--shy of the Detention Hall, of course. This is where all matters of student discipline are brought to the attention of the Headmistress and her committee. If you're innocent, you have nothing to worry about. If you're guilty, this is only the beginning. Once all evidence has been reviewed, a final verdict is handed out and carried out shortly after.

There is a long table that sits in the centre of the room. On each of its horizontal sides, there are 4 chairs. To the top of the table sits a much larger chair befitting the Headmistress herself.

A fireplace warms this hall when there are matters being brought forth but when it is empty, the table is bare and the chairs are pulled along the sides to the walls. It would do you well to avoid this room, unless you're left with no choice.

F I N A L L Y the Headmaster was doing his J O B and was serving the Headmistress ALL THE SASS she rightfully deserved! Bernie had had NOT been summoned and falsely accused for NOTHIN!

Whatever, she did want to go play in the rose garden one last time before they were inevitably kicked out AGAIN. If they did accidentally burn all the roses down, and if she, personally, were asked to leave Beauxbatons, she might be kind of proud. Because getting expelled THREE times in one term had to be a record, right?

The Gryffindor skipped off behind the others, wand out and ready to do some damage saving.

the sky is always there for me ☀ ☁ heavy hearts like heavy clouds

There was much Mathys wished to express and he was truly touched by the willingness of the Hogwarts students. Some of them, at least. He was not the least bit surprised that Hogwarts faculty had performed their own investigation, it would have been unwise of them not to, and while he did not enjoy condemning his headmistress he enjoyed the miscarriage of justice even less. So he simply offered the Hogwarts Potions Master a firm nod of the head in acknowledgement of his words.

However, it seemed as though the search party would be put on hold as fire struck yet again in the rose garden. Mathys would be lying if he were not relieved that there was a fresher target on his headmistress' thoughts when it came to the destruction of her rose garden and he was all too keen to follow the crowd down and did so with firm strides upon the marble floor.

Although his own path would veer off a bit. The flames were fresh which meant that the creature would not be too far away from the scene. He only wished that he had time to return to his chalet and the barns to gather some supplies and perhaps a dead ferret or two.

Everything had been laid out perfectly. While there was the minor inconvenience of the irritating Hogwarts' Potion's Master, his words did nothing to sway their Headmistress. They had won.

........ Or so they thought.

Funny how everything went to dragon dung in the matter of mere seconds. Pun intended.

It wasn't funny, not really. It was horrible. Whoever was tasked with hiding it clearly did NOT do their job. The creature was on the loose and soon everyone would know. Was she meant to feel terrified? Because the irony of this situation was hilarious. It wasn't hilarious. Not really.

As the sixth year rose from her seat, she made eye contact with the others. They wouldn't go down without a fight. With that in mind, she made her way to the front of the search party. They had to get there first. It was imperative.

.....this was a bloody three-ring circus with competing ringleaders. And, honestly, Eiji wanted nothing to do with either of them. Not even Phoebe's stirring words about being a good person could sway him. He owed Beauxbatons nothing and putting himself in the literal line of fire for people who would rather see him spin round under the wheels of their carriages than lend a helping hand to anything.

So it was only because the headmaster and Professor Noble knew he was here and therefore would likely notice if did not follow that his feet were moving in the same direction as everyone else. But rather than help with the flames, that woman's garden could burn to the ground for all he cared, he was more likely to focus his efforts on creature pursuits.
