Underground Chambers

Opening a well-hidden door in the dungeons allows you access to the many underground chambers beneath the castle. While this discovery may be exciting, it is important to move forward with caution -- hopefully you've come along with some friends, just in case something should go terribly wrong. No, you've thankfully not stumbled upon the Chamber of Secrets. But only Merlin knows what you'll find here.

You start off in a chamber containing a dusty table where seven bottles once rested. Whether you find that interesting or not, it is the two doors present in the room that play at your curiosity. Going through one door will take you into an antechamber that leads to a much bigger room. Here a large mirror can be found, which will reveal something interesting about yourself if you stand in front of it properly. The other door, however, stems off into a series of chambers. First you find yourself in a spacious room, though there isn't much to be seen besides a thick layer of dust (with a dash of decayed troll bone) on the floor. Carrying onward, a giant chess board is revealed (to play a life-sized game, one need only cast Reparo on the mutilated pieces) and then a room filled with an array of winged keys. Lastly is a chamber that is relatively harmless ... as long as the blue flames remain lit.

Perhaps you've learned about this place once in history class? It all seems oddly familiar. Hmm.

Just exactly how Gunnar found his way down this corridor, he wasn’t sure, but somehow he hadn’t remembered ever taking this path towards the common room in the past four years of his time at Hogwarts. At least he wasn’t in a hurry to go anywhere because after seeing this somewhat hidden door, he was finding himself in the mood to explore.

The fifth year felt the need to reach for his wand as he pushed open the door. There wasn't anything noticeable except for a dusty table, but the general vibe of the room was a somewhat foreboding one. Still, the two doors at the end of the room drew his attention. Should he try one or the other?

Beezley wanted to clean the dirty chamber, but the chamber was spooky. She felt that if it wasn't clean that they weren't doing their jobs so she decided to go down there herself.

*POP*

Beezley was on the dusty table looking around, "Master what are you doing down here? Beezley thinks its scary down here, but Beezley wanted to clean."

Gunnar's eyes traveled from one door to the next. His curiosity was piqued enough that he wanted to see what was on the other side of one of the doors, but... which one should he try? They looked alike enough that neither of them really made him want to choose one over the other. But he was just about to open the one on his right when he was startled by a sudden loud pop in the middle of the room.

Oh! An elf.... He recognized this particular house elf from his time in S.P.E.W., not that he was in that club anymore. "Hi, Beezley," he gave her a polite smile before stifling a sneeze. She kicked up a bit of dust, landing on the table like that.

"What's so scary about it?" he asked, not answering her question. She could clean if she wanted to, but he wasn't all that interested in that. "Do you know where these doors lead?" Or what this room was used for at all?

Her ears going back she looked to where he was pointing, 'Oh, no master Gunnar, Beezley doesn't know where these really go, Beezley just comes to clean and then leaves very quickly. Things have happened in this castle even before Beezley had come here to clean and help serve all the students, things that scare Beezley and Beezley doesn't like to go into the passages and chambers." No, she would rather stay where all the humans were so she could make them happy.

Beezley was kind of rambling and honestly? Gunnar really didn't know what she was talking about. And she was being really vague so he basically lost interest in her nondescript fears and one track mind.

"Well, I'm going to see where they go," he said, looking between the doors again. "Which door do you think I should choose?" He sort of had one in mind, but was curious to what she thought and to see if that might sway his decision.
