After doing his homework for the evening in the Common Room library, Dorian sat down in one of big comfortable chairs near the fireplace with a small sigh.He stared in to the fire, lost in his thoughts as he thought about, well, basicallly everything. Which was kind of annoying. He closed his eyes for a moment and tilted his head back before looking up at the twinkling ceiling. He had always loved that ceiling, personally he thought it looked better than the ceiling in the Great Hall. Perhaps it was because only a limited few got to see it while the one in the Great Hall was for everyone to see.

He leaned back in his chair as he took out his wand from his inside jacket and lazily pointed it at a scarf that someone had left hanging on one of the chairs. He swished and flicked it, muttered the levitation charm and began levitating the scarf around the room. Was it noticeable that he was bored?

One of her dorm mates told her this morning that it was cold outside, so Jade made sure to take her scarf when she went out to the grounds for her Herbology lesson. Turns out it wasn't that cold after all - her dorm mate could be overdramatic at times - and she returned to the common room briefly before dinner to throw her useless scarf down on a random chair. She completely forgot about it afterwards as she ate her dinner, played with her cat, did her homework... until she looked up from her corner to see an older student levitating her scarf around the room.

The Ravenclaw narrowed her eyes, convinced that she was mistaken. What...? Why was he doing that with her scarf?? Surely he had better things to do than practise Wingardium Leviosa! After a confused moment, she stood up and walked over to him. "That's mine," she said bluntly, then added, "I think."

As the scarf got further away from him, he sat closer to the edge of his seat to focus on it before levitating it back and let it hover just under the ceiling. It wasn't often that the sixth year got bored but when he was, he always decided to either go for a run, meditate or practice simple spells. One could not practice enough if he had to say so himself.

He was about to levitate the scarf to the statue of Ravenclaw and magically wrap it around her when a young kid stood in front of him. He looked from the scarf to the girl and raised a perfect eyebrow at her words. "You think?" he repeated. "There is a big difference between thinking something is yours and knowing something is" he said as he lowered the scarf down and hovered it in front of her face so that she could see it. "Which one is it?"

Well, he wasn't wrong. Jade was fairly certain that it WAS indeed hers, but she was willing to humour him. She glanced at the scarf as it came hovering down right in front of her eyes. It was a plain purple knit scarf, with her initials embroidered in the cor -

Snatching the scarf from the air, she observed it properly for the first time. Layla had personalised many of her items of clothing by adding her initials so that she could find them easily. No, this was not hers. Clearly she wasn’t the only person who shopped at Gladrags Wizardwear. But then where was the scarf she had so carelessly thrown away earlier? Scanning the common room, she noticed something purple sticking out from under a cushion. When she went over and picked it up, she saw that it was an identical scarf - except that this one had her initials on it. “I thought it's mine. But it’s not,” she said in response to his inquiry, blushing at her dumb mistake. She stuffed her own scarf into her bag and tossed the other one back to the boy. He could… continue whatever he was doing with it. Speaking of which… “Are you bored?” she asked as she sat down in an armchair next to him.

Lady Helena could not feel the weather. It had no effect on her whatsoever. It did, however, have all the effects on the children. It was as this moment she was for the hundredth time making the observation. Helena came through one of the walls close to a roaring fire and where Dorian Katharos and Jade Joyce were having a conversation.

“Good evening, students.’’ Lady Helena gracefully floated over to both. “Bored? Who is bored?”

After taking out some books from the library, and making it back to the common room, Hanna was pleasantly surprised to see The Grey Lady. She smiled as she approached the small group. "Hello Lady Helena!" It was always a pleasure to see their House Ghost. "Hello you two! How are you settling back in?" she asked Dorian and Jade, hesitantly taking a seat. She had books in plenty with her in case her company wasn't wanted. Hanna was looking forward to reading up more on the runes they had just gone over in class.

Lady Helena, elegant and graceful as always, floated around to see young Hanna with some books. Little didn’t quite cover it anymore as Hanna was now a fifth year. How many students she had seen grow over the years! “Good evening, Hanna. Are the prefect duties treating you well thus far? I would like to think this is one of your busiest years since you also have OWLs to prepare for.’’

Dorian watched as Jade examined the scarf and he was mildly curious whether or not it was hers. When she said that it wasn't, he went back to lifting it up in to the air. Someone was going to come pick it up some time.

While he levitated the scarf towards one of the arm chairs at the other side of the room, Dorian placed it on top of it before breaking the spell. As he pocketed his wand back in to his robe, he realised that Jade had found her own scarf. Good for her!

Before he could answer her question, he was distracted by the House Ghost as she glided through the wall and towards them. And as she asked the same question, Dorian raised his hand in to the air rather proudly. "Me" he said as he waved his hand a little. "But that was when i was alone in here so i'm cool now" he said as he gave a small wave of the hand at Hanna. Oh man, those stacks of books. He remembered those from his own O.W.L experience last year. He enjoyed learning but learning for the exams had been very stressful and then to think that she had extra responsibilities that came with her Prefect badge... He didn't want to think about it. "Hanna, if you ever need help with practicing i'm happy to help out" he said. He wasn't the best when it came to spellwork (which was the reason he practiced spells everywhere he could like levitating a scarf around) but as someone who had already done his exams before, he did have some handy tips.

Dorian was the one whom was bored, was he? Lady Helena smiled impishly at the proud look on Dorian’s face. “Perhaps you’d like to also dust the books in the Ravenclaw library. It’s a task that’s bound to keep you from getting bored further.” Lady Helena knew that Dorian wouldn’t take her up on the offer. She offered her help to Hanna as well. “Perhaps I can assist as well. That reminds me. Dorian, how did you fare at your O.W.L examinations?’’

Dusting the books in the library? No thank you. He like books, loved reading textbooks but he wasn't that bored. "I'm gonna have to politely decline the offer" he said. "I think, knowing myself, i would get distracted by some books and then i'll forget to dust them" he said half jokingly before leaning back in his chair. "Keep it dusty for the next student to get a detention" he laughed and looked over at the fireplace before looking back up when he was asked about his O.W.L exams.

His exams results had been better than what he had expected. He had been afraid that he would fail Defence Against the Dark Arts since that subject was his worst but with a lot of practice, he managed to succeed. "It went well, thank you" he said with a small smile. "If im not mistaken, 7 outstanding, 3 exceed expectations and 1 acceptable. But i did put a lot of work in it. I'm still catching up on lost sleep" he said.

Analiese finished her homework for the day and sat down in one of the comfy armchairs. She pulled out one of her textbooks - Quidditch Through the Ages, to be exact - and started reading. She skimmed the words lightly, but none of it was going into her head. This wasn't normal. She enjoyed reading books. More like she was obsessed with books. Analiese shut the textbook closed. A little too loudly, to be frank. She pulled out her ebony wand from her pocket and practiced the spell she had read about a few days ago. "Scribblifors!" She cast the spell onto an interesting rock she had found. It consequently transformed into a quill.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaa!! It was finally time for the highly anticipated Wrock Night in the Ravenclaw Tower, and Jackson was prepared. He had leather pants on, and yea they were totally comfortable okay?? He had a muscle tank top on and his hair had been dyed blue and purple for the night. He had opened a suitcase full of muggle/rock inspired clothing, there were boas, sunglasses, instruments, you name it! Accessories in place, and a table set up for all of their snacks and desserts, Jackson began arranging the stage. How could you properly wrock out without a spotlight, right??

Hanna was SO looking forward to the WROCK night for the claws. She came in basic black jeans and a singlet, wanting to add some decorations to make it look more... well, WROCKY! But she definitely wanted a go on the instruments... and karaoke. Not that she was good at singing. At all. But it was all in the name of fun, right?

Entering the common room, she first spotted everything as it was. And then Jackson. She grinned at him, approaching. "You look very Rock and Roll," she complimented.

"You both do,'' Kaysha said, having arrived at the moment of Hanna's comment. Keen blue eyes scanned the common room and all the preparations that had been done. Pride shone on her face. "You two have done rather excellently in putting this together. I'm proud of you.'' Naturally, there had to be a few tasks she herself needed to lend a helping hand in but this was all on her student leaders. Next, she trained her gaze towards the dorms. "I reckon the others will be here soon. In the meantime, either of you want to get started with some music?''

Kaysha was completely useless when it came to singing but that would not stop her from taking part in the karaoke tonight. She just hoped her Ravenclaws would not loose all respect for her after hearing her sing.

A Wrock Night? Tad was curious on this sort of event. They would be jamming to music and it was rock themed. Sounded fun to him, even though they would be listening to music from 100 years ago. Ancient, but Vintage was always in, yes? "Hi Professor Stewart, hi everyone." He arrived in, "Brought some snacks." Thank you Hogsmeade weekends.

This was cooler than he imagined it would be. He wasn't use to wearing these type of pants after enough time in uniforms but he definitely felt cooler in them. Wearing sleeveless shirt, jeans, and some dark dragon boots.

Analiese was hesitant to attend the Wrock Night. But here she was. Clad in a short-sleeved black t-shirt, a leather jacket, black skinny jeans and dark dragon-skin boots. Her hair dyed dark purple for the event. She scanned the common room with her hazel eyes and slowly walked down the steps from her dorm. She shuffled towards the group of people standing in the middle of the room. "Hello Professor Stewart. Hello everyone." She politely greeted them. Were people supposed to be polite at a rock and roll party? Nonetheless, manners were always important. Then she spotted the keyboard. She'd like to have a go at that.

Jackson smiled when he saw Hanna, and gave her a riff on his air guitar. As more people began to enter, Jackson smiled and greeted each. Professor Stewart, Tad, and Analiese were all here and looking great!!

"I'll start!" Jackson offered in response to Professor Stewart. He wouldn't say he was a karaoke king, but who cares?? "Hanna wanna sing with me? I was thinking maybe one of those ones like... ooh, Queen has some good stuff my dad showed me." A long time ago obviously, when his dad still shared thoughts and likes with him. "Or The Beatles? Aerosmith? Some of these I've never even heard of!"

Jackson liked to think that he had a good grasp on music, even old music like this, but there was so much how could he take it all in?? He really hoped others would join in the wrocking out part of the evening, because he wanted to learn those songs! Excitement clear, Jackson yelled out, "Anyone wanna be in my baaaand??"

Hanna turned her attention to none other than the Mama Eagle as she appeared. Seeing what she was wearing, Hanna nodded. "You look great too, Professor! I like your jacket." It looked very wrock, and rock.

Just as she was about to fiddle with music, Tad arrived... with snacks! "Hey," Hanna said, taking his outfit in. "Rockin' outfit. I was going to put a bunch of tartan bows on my top with safety pins." Because she didn't feel very rocky. From her pocket she pulled a few scraps of red tartan fabric, tying them into a knotted bow and attached it to her singlet. She'd get more scraps in a bit.

Turning again, as another Claw approached, Hanna's normal expression turned into one of glee. "Analiese, your hair looks great!" Really, it did. Hanna loved funky hair colours, and sometimes got to spray it with muggle hair dye spray, but wasn't allowed anything more permanent.

Hanna was happy to join Jackson with some karaoke. He said some bands, most of which Hanna had heard, from her family and muggle radio. "I like The Beatles, actually." She really liked them. "But whatever song works for me." If she didn't know the lyrics, it didn't matter. Thankfully that was what Karaoke was good at. Most of the instruments looked ready to go, but she didn't know much about setting them up, or checking them. "D-do we need to... to do a sound check or something?"

Speaking of the Ravenclaw babies... there were a few arriving now. Excellent! Tad had brought snacks too. That was very thoughtful. “That’s very nice of you, Mr. Potter. Are you ready to join in the fun? You should have a go at one of the instruments.” She helped herself to a snack Tad had gotten them while encouraging him at the same time. “Hello, Ms. Allanach-Senchuri! Have you ever been to a rock and roll themed party before?’’ Kay herself never had. That was when she noted the baby Claw’s eyes had drifted to the keyboard. “Do you play?’’ The question was asked with interest.

“Thank you, Ms. Newton,’’ Kay said graciously. “I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.’’ And as the talk turned to music, she looked from prefect to prefect. "We can do both. Queen and then The Beatles. Both are great bands.’’ And she approved of her student leaders’ choices. “As for the sound check, we can do a quick one. Mr. Thomas, I’ll try my hand at an instrument if all of them aren’t taken.’’ She would give the other kiddos a chance first!
