Near the entrance to the Common Room hangs a noticeboard, for students and staff alike to post important information. One half is covered in cork and scattered with yellow and black push pins. Here you'll find flyers, information about clubs and lessons, notes about lost property, and anything else people want to post. The other half of the board is a blackboard, with a small ledge jutting out with a number of pieces of coloured chalk allowing quick or informal messages to be easily left.

OOC: Your character is welcome to attend as many tryout sessions as they would like based on their interests and abilities as an athlete and Quidditch enthusiast. IC all students wanting to be considered for their House Quidditch team will meet at the pitch during the allotted times for each position on September 27th, whereas OOC all tryout threads (Beater, Chaser, Keeper, and Seeker) will be open simultaneously from May 4th to May 18th.

For your character to be considered for their House team, you need to submit the Quidditch Tryout form and be an active participant while tryouts are open.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the tryout process, please feel free to contact the Flying Instructor (Zoe) by PM.

Ancient Runes Lesson 1 is OPEN! This IS our first class with Professor Beryl so....you know... behave or whatever.

OOC: And we're off! As noted above, this is our character's first class with Professor Beryl, but still make sure to read her rules beforehand and have fun! Also, we have a lovely thread here to add your character's bio to and read the bio's of your fellow badgers!

OOC: As stated above, it's also our first lesson with Professor Sissay, read her rules beforehand and have fun! Also, it's two days into the term at the time of this lesson, if anyone is curious!

Care of Magical Creatures

The first (OOC) CoMC lesson of the term is about to begin!

Where: Lake shore by the CoMC hut

Dress in comfortable clothes that can get dirty, bathing suits optional. Those who don't bring a bathing suit, however, will be forced to wear one of the swimming costumes provided.

OOC: Above are the results from the first round of matches this term. Congratulations to Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses for their recent victories against Slytherin and Ravenclaw respectively! Keep in mind that it is still early in the season, so it still remains unclear who will win the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup.

The scores provided above were randomized. Quaffle scores were determined using a number generator set to pull from numbers 0-20, and the Snitch catch was determined by a coin toss (heads = first team listed, tails = second team listed). The score of the team that captured the Snitch has been bolded for clarity.

Stay on the lookout for the next set of match results. The Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin match will take place mid-February IC, whereas the Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff match will take place early March IC. The results for these matches will be posted approximately late June OOC.

Congratulations to our Hufflepuff Quidditch Team on the win! Make sure you cheer them on for the next game!

Special Advisory: Please be aware that on the trip to and from Hogsmeade you are to remain in the group. Don’t stray from the path. By now you’re all well aware of the fog that has settled on the grounds. It has stopped its movement leaving the path to the gate clear. Do not attempt to venture into this fog. If you get lost, there is no guarantee you’ll be found.
