Fat Lady's Portrait https://s26.postimg.cc/nmakw9axl/fat...ait-banner.jpg If you're wandering around the seventh-floor corridor and you suddenly have the urge to cover your ears, you know you're steadily approaching the Fat Lady's portrait. While it isn't an uncommon fact that the vocal portrait guards the entrance to the Gryffindor Common Room, getting past the Fat Lady without the correct password is no easy feat. Her passion for tip-top security is just as great as her love for good food and drink. |
Now that he was all settled in and tryouts were over with, Colin decided one evening to take a trip down memory lane. It had been quite a trek walking up all those flights of stairs, and the man couldn't help put wonder how he managed to do that on a daily basis all those years ago. Merlin, when did he get so old? Though he was just ever-so-slightly out of breath, he was pleased that he remembered exactly where everything was on the seventh floor. All those nooks and crannies were still present after all these years. Even the noises that could be heard were all the same. Speaking of noises, was that ... the Fat Lady? Colin could have sworn he had just heard a loud voice echoing down the corridor. Even though he couldn't stand the portrait's singing, he did have a bit of a soft spot for her. Or, rather, it was likely the other way around. He still remembered those late nights of sweet-talking her to let him inside the common room. "My, my, my," he said smoothly, stepping in front of the frame. "After all these years, they still have you stationed here, my dear lady?" |
"Stationed?" the woman in pink's voice was a trilling song. "My dear man, this is a volunteer position, and I always get my way. As well you know." He could move her anywhere else in the castle, couldn't he? And yet he let her stay HERE. |
a dramatic Graínne for Griffin W H Y WHY why? Why was it so hard for her to remember the godawful password? Why hadn’t she used those noomy-thingingies that Aine had suggested? ”Smaoineamh Graínne – you’ve got to think” Graínne grumbled as she passed in front of the portrait…someone had to come outside eventually right? Or maybe MAYBE they would come from the corridors and help her? |
