The fluffy balls of pink wanted all the snuggles. The man on the floor (Tristan) looked extra cuddly, as did the lady (Kassie). The fluffsies were also very interested in the little human (Chloe). She looked like she would give nice cuddles. Multiple pink fluff balls poured out from their hiding places and headed towards the three most likely to snuggle them, little noses twitching, and making soft giggly sounds of joy. |
Skyler had no idea how she had even gotten on the seventh floor. She was looking for the library, he stairs moved and she got on the wrong floor. That's when she came face to face with a mutant. Uh oh. She froze not sure what to do. |
Tristan was focusing so hard on getting those super cute yet really freaking dangerous creatures to come to him that he wasn't listening to the conversations going on around him. Finally, the creatures came flowing out of their hiding spaces...literally flowing out. There were so many of them! How was it even possible that there were so many? "Come on little ones, we just want cuddles." He said with a sweet smile on his face and arms outstretched. Then suddenly Skyler was there. He didn't turn his head, but looked up at her as best as he could to keep eye contact with the creatures and not have any sudden distractions. "Skyler," he whispered with a smile on his face, "stay exactly where you are and do not move. Pretend you are a statue if you have to." He hoped she heard him. He needed that horde of creatures to come to him not her. |
Sweet Merlin. Kassie wondered where Skyler popped in from and why her head of house let her out of sight. The poor girl looked petrified. She smiled and nodded at Tristan’s words. The fourth year needed to stand perfectly still and not scare the fluffies. “Here, little pink fluffies, keep coming towards the cuddles.” Kassie slowly moved the cage around from behind her and kept wiggling her fingers with the promise of snuggles and tummy scratchings. There were a lot of them and she hoped they would go to both her and to Tristan, otherwise, they might not all fit into one cage. It was all going much smoother than she had planned and she was beginning to wonder how the other groups were making out. She hoped they were having as much luck and there weren't any unfortunate incidents. |
Skyler didn't dare say anything or even move a muscle (besides breathing.) She just stood there like Professor Wayland said, or whispered. |
The lady (Kassie) and the girl (Chloe) were talking sweetly to them, and they liked it. They wanted all the cuddles being offered by the humans. They had been hiding far too long and missed the snuggles. The fluff balls paused a moment when the new little human (Skyler) arrived. That human looked scared. They wondered if they should be scared. Thankfully the big man (Tristan) spoke sweetly to them again and they continued forward towards the cuddles. One of the pink fluff balls spotted a cage and glanced to the others. Maybe the humans would carry them to more cuddles? They wanted to find out so they kept moving forward, noses twitching and full of happy thoughts. |
Tristan kept encouraging the little creatures to come cuddle, all the while constantly checking to make sure none of them went over to Skyler. It looked as though she was in the clear; they were completely ignoring her now. One of the creatures was looking curiously at the cage behind him...but it didn't look fearful. "Yes, come little ones, if you get inside of these boxes we can take you to a place that will give you all the cuddles you could ever want!" He said sweetly with a giant smile on his face, while slowly pulling the cage from behind his back. Hopefully...this would work. |
Were they coming closer to her? Chloe tried not to see to excited, but the fact that they were safe and Professor Wayland was there and not O'Hara. She knew they would be taken somewhere safe. Slowly she slipped the gloves on but kept her arms out for the creatures. "Come here sweeties, I'll make sure no one bothers you. We can cuddle all day." Was there any treats they could lure them into the cages with? Her eyes glanced to the side seeing another student. Oh please don't scare them, they were so close now. UGH, how were thins so cute so bad? They had to have a reason to eat people, this couldn't be them just being horrible. |
The man said cuddles! They knew the word and wanted nothing more. The fluffy balls of pink all started to make their giggly squeals of joy as they entered the cages that promised to carry them to more cuddles. Once they filled the cage the man had (Tristan) the rest filled the cage of the lady (Kassie). They all hoped the sweet talking girl (Chloe) would be joining in on the cuddles and looked with worry at the frozen girl (Skyler). Even though their time in the corridor had been short, they were ready to get out of there and back to the others. |
What they were doing appeared to be working. The fluffy balls of pink were headed towards them and willingly going into the cages. Her gloved hands cuddled each one as it passed by and into the cage. "Professor Wayland, it looks like we may have gotten them all. Should we do one last check before heading back to the others?" She glanced up at Chloe, "Chloe, would you take a quick look under the bench over there to see if there are any more?" Thankfully, Skyler had remained very still and hadn't scared off any of the mutants. "Skyler, if you feel comfortable, slowly start moving towards the end of the corridor. I think we have all of them, but I don't want to risk scaring off any stragglers." It looked like their work in the corridor was done. |
They were going to the cages! Chloe was so happy to see that they were and smiled, "Good little ones, that's it." She wanted so badly to pet them but knew the professors wouldn't like it. So she stood and kept encouraging the little ones. Once in the cages she looked over to the professor as she told her to go check under the bench, "You got it professor" bending down she started to look under them al to make sure none had been missed or there wasn't a scared one hidden in the dark corner. As she moved on her hands in knees she put her head to the floor and looked a few more times, "I think they are all there." She'd check once more just to make super sure. |
Skyler breathed and relaxed a bit but still didn't move. So were they all gone? Could she go to the library now? |
Tristan watched and waited patiently as the little fluff balls filled the cages. Once it was full he closed the cage door and locked it with his wand. He released a huge breath and leaned against the wall. Thank heavens those creatures went for the bait! "Yes, lets have a look around and make sure we got every single one of them before we head off." Tristan said with a nod to Kassie. He knew he needed to stand up now, but he was so comfortable on the floor at the moment...Oh, well! He took another deep breath and sighed before pushing himself up off the floor. He looked over to Skyler and gave her a small smile, "I take it you didn't get the memo about staying in your common room until the all clear was given? I suggest you head back....actually, I'll walk with you as soon as we are done checking this corridor." He wasn't sure where she was headed but he knew she wasn't supposed to be there. Tristan quickly checked every nook and cranny that he could. He was a pretty tall guy so he was checking the higher places so the others could check the lower places. Soon enough he came back to the group empty handed. "It looks like we got them all. Great job Kassie! And thank you so much Chloe for helping." He hoped the rest of the groups were as successful as they had been...and as gentle. He turned to the rouge Slytherin with a small smile, "Lets go." He picked up his cage of floof balls and headed down the stairs. |
Her cage was finally full of the pink fluffy mutants. She breathed a sigh of relief and locked the cage. No one had been eaten, none of her search group had gone missing, and no major mishaps had occurred. She glanced over to see Tristan get to his feet and she followed suit. It felt good to stretch her legs. She hadn't noticed how tense she had been sitting on the floor and she was thankful to be moving around again. With the cage firmly in her right hand, Kassie looked low as Tristan looked high. Her short legs were an advantage while looking low for little creatures. "Chloe, you are welcome to stay with me, or you can head back to your common room. If you do go back to your common room, please don't make any unnecessary stops along the way. I'm fairly certain we have all of the mutants from this part of the castle, but I don't know how the others have done." After checking all the places she could think to look she nodded in agreement that it was time to go. "Thank you, Tristan, for escorting Skyler and for all your help. Chloe, you have been great as well. Top notch work. And, Skyler, please stay with Professor Wayland all the way back to your common room." Kassie watched Tristan head down the stairs before turning to Chloe. "Are you ready?" She checked the lock on the cage one last time before heading down the stairs. |
SPOILER!!: Professor Wayland Skyler nodded and started to follow Professor Wayland. She had heard that the mutants could be friendly but she salso heard that they swallowed a teacher whole. Yeah. She was not taking any chances anymore. |
Was that even a question? Go back to her boring dorm or go with the professors and stay with the creatures longer. "I'll go with you." She moved closer to the professor and looked down at the cages, "What will happen to them now?" Would they be sent to a safe place or was someone else going to harm them just to find out more about them. Sticking close to the professor as they headed closer to the stairs she gave Skylar a little wave. |
