Default Potions Lesson 1

As you turn into the potions corridor for class, something appears, well...off. The wooden doors to the laboratory and Noble's office are there exactly where you'd expect, and yet, as you arrive outside the classroom, it becomes quickly apparent that there is no sign of the usual entrance. A plain, solid stone wall stands where the door would usually be, blocking your way.

Professor Noble is nowhere to be seen, though his overly large and grumpy cat, Annie, skulks further down the corridor.

Lesson progression:
Question 1 - START HERE!
Update 2
Update 3
Update 4
Update 5

Please tackle the doors in order, regardless of where others already are! So if you're stuck at Door 1, keep trying until you get to Door 2...then Door 3 and so on. I will be here and posting regularly to catch you up if you need.

That was a click! The click of a lock! Abra raised both arms in victory for just a moment, and then headed on through the door, hoping very much that he would find himself inside the actual classroom. But it was not to be. Another door. Another parchment. More reading. Sigh.

More reading, more squinting, more eye strain, more headaches. Abra hated this. He loathed and detested it. He would rather completely ruin a potion rather than do this, but there wasn't exactly much choice. He read through the parchment twice yet again, because he'd misread so much the first go through that by the time he'd corrected himself and moved on, he couldn't remember the rest of it. The second time was slightly more successful.

Now for the actual answer. At first, Abra had been drawn to the option about making sure someone understood the potion and the risks and everything, but the 'putting it in their drink' thing sounded like the person wouldn't know they were drinking it, so he discounted that. None of the other options really touched upon the 'informed' part, so he counted all of those out too. The answer Abra thought he might have tapped - something along the lines of 'Making sure your friend fully understands what the potion is and does, including any risks, before they agree to taking it' - wasn't up there, and the closest one ('getting your friend to say yes') didn't, in Abra's mind, cover all the bases of informed consent... which really only left the last option.

Making up his mind (which now ached... could minds ache? because his ached), he tapped 'None of the above'.

So far...so good? Derf felt a very real pressure with all these questions - and not just because the rooms were becoming progressively smaller. He knew that he, well, he had this moral soapbox that he stood on with these subjects...and it would just give way to ridicule should he answer something wrong, you know?

So as he approached the parchment on door number three, his mind was working into over drive and really really REALLY reading things carefully. The first option was an obvious no, so he was easily able to dismiss this half asleep notion. "Making sure your friend fully understands what the potion is and does, including any risks, before putting in their drink..." he read aloud to himself while scratching his head roughly enough to pull some more of his hair out. He nearly tapped this one with his wand, because it covered all bases...on a first read. But here was the catch...there was nothing about this friend saying yes and giving permission for the potion to be put into the drink. Thus, his wand lowered and he read the next option. Allergies had nothing to do with consent, though it was a kind safety thought, so he passed over that one in favor of the next. The next one...getting was curious wording and not, well, it didn't sound promising so he did not tap this one either.

That left him with the final option, none of the above.

Apprehensively, Derf raised his wand and gave it a firm tap.

Chloe had the worst rash of her life, an itchy and raw patch that had fur now, and here the professor was inflicting her with boils. BOILS? She considered crying, honestly, since it was all a bit much. This rash was unrelenting and had been for months now. But sure, add some boils. Cool.

She was never too proud to cry, but it wasn't the moment, and Chloe instead reread the question with a squared jaw. Trick question. Mean professor. What a turkey. She jabbed the final answer with her wand. None of the above. They were missing consent of the person being polyjuiced, at the very minimum.

The first-year needed to learn to ask for help if she needed it, not just throw a temper tantrum. So for the moment, he let Cordelia and Indigo be. A clear mind could yet prevail.
Okay, so it might not actually be endless, but after two doors it seemed endless, and that was what mattered to her right now. Cordelia had no way of knowing how many more doors she would have to get through. It wasn’t necessarily that she didn’t know the answer to this question, more like she just couldn’t handle this many doors. Her emotional toolbox wasn’t equipped with constructive or positive ways of dealing with stress. Cordelia recoiled at a sudden unfamiliar touch. ”No, no, no” Who was this person? Would they help her or hurt her? Cordelia wasn’t sure what to think of his intentions. ”Too many doors, too many questions.” Low blood sugar in the mix too? Maybe, she hadn’t checked. That was sometimes a cause of anxiety. Or maybe it was just normal anxiety, because that happened too.

Oops, maybe he shouldn't have touched her. He should have thought that one through. "Hey, deep breaths." He'd never really tried to help someone before, but he was trying to think of what would help him if he was in her position. "I'm sure there's not many more now. The sooner we answer the questions, the sooner we get out of here. Come on, want to come with me?"

He briefly read over the parchment on this door. Which one of them was informed consent? It definitely wasn't the first one about being half asleep. The second one sounded good. He kept that one in the back of his mind. He'd come back to it. Checking if they were allergic wasn't enough to be informed consent. The one about saying yes sounded alright too, but technically the best answer would be a combination of that one and the second one. Understanding and saying yes were both required for informed consent. So he tapped his wand on none of the above. Would the small girl be able to sneak through a door that he opened? He kind of doubted it. Still, he could help her get through. Of course that was assuming that he had, in fact, gotten the right answer.

Default Door 3 + Chloe & other mentions (Sorry about her! xD)
Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll

Tina stepped through the second door to find… another door, what a shock. She sighed exasperatedly. This maze was so - for lack of a better word - extra! Honestly, what was so wrong with having a normal pop quiz with quills and parchment? Surely that would teach the same lesson about ethics, minus all the uncertainty and frustration.

As she approached the door, her eyes fell to the little Gryffindor (Cordelia) on the floor. Ugh, this had gone too far! Not only was this door maze annoying and unnecessary, but now it was clearly frightening people. Tina felt sorry for the girl; she reminded her of the small children back at Chateau Croyance. See? She may be standoffish, but she wasn't heartless. She gave the girl a sympathetic look. Was there something she could do? She wasn't very good with emotions, her own or other people's, and some people had a tendency to lash out when they were upset. That and it looked like one of her housemates (Indigo) was already helping her. He had this, right? She was going to stay out of it for now, but she was here to help if things went south.

For the time being, Tina turned her attention to the question on the door. Hmm… asking while your friend is half asleep, obviously incorrect. Checking if your friend is allergic before giving them the potion… closer, but there was more to it than that. Getting your friend to say yes? That seemed like a trick answer. Permission was important, but they needed to know what they were agreeing to. None of the above seemed like an obvious trick, so that left making sure your friend fully understands what the potion is and does, including any risks, before putting in their drink.

Tina was about to tap that answer when out of the corner of her eye, she saw the boils on Chloe's hand. “What happened to your hand?” she asked before she could stop herself. “Did-?” Her eyes darted from the Head Girl to the door and back, and she gasped as understanding dawned on her. “The doors are rigged to punish you for making a mistake…” And she had a feeling the punishments were going to get worse with each subsequent door.

Tina was officially furious! What kind of person asks questions about informed consent then proceeds to punish wrong answers by giving people boils?! She seriously doubted Noble had anyone's informed consent to do that. What a filthy hypocrite! How was he head of Hufflepuff? This was Hogwarts, Tina reminded herself, the crazy backwards school that had hired a failed comedian as a headmaster and a doddering old fool as a charms teacher. By that logic, she supposed it wasn't too far-fetched to have a bully and hypocrite in charge of the house known for kindness and fair play.

Tina's rage was making it a lot harder to think straight. It looked like their best chance was to have five people each pick a different answer. Then they'd all know that the person without boils had the correct one, and everybody else could tap the right answer. The problem was she didn't know which answers had already been picked. She thought to ask Chloe which answer she picked so they could warn the others not to choose that one, but she wasn't sure it would do much good now. A lot of people had already chosen their answers.

Tina re-examined the question. The only way to outsmart a bully was to think like one! Now if I enjoyed hurting people, how would I use this question to do it? she thought. Probably by planting a seemingly correct answer in plain sight so more people would be tricked into getting boils… That meant “making sure your friend fully understands what the potion is and does, including any risks, before putting in their drink” was incorrect! Whew! She was glad she waited before picking! So if the obvious answer was a trick… that had to mean the answer that looked like a trick was the correct one, right?

Tina gingerly tapped None of the above and waited for something to happen. Hopefully that something wasn't boils!

Man, she was NAILING these questions! Archer happily went through the next door to the next, reading this new parchment carefully. Okay, this required a bit more thought. At first glance, the first one seemed to be right. But, on second read through, it said nothing about the person saying yes. And the third one said nothing about explaining any side effects or what the potion does, therefore, the subject hadn't been informed. And so, this had to be one of those trick questions. Which of course meant that the answer was....

She reached up and tapped the none of the above with her wand before scratching her back with it. And wait. Had Derf just scratched out some of his hair...?

Jackson had gathered at the door with the other students (and Annie too kind of?) and chosen All of the Above. That was usually safe, right? It seemed right in this case anyway. He walked in cautiously, realizing that this was not the classroom. Uhh……… *scratch scratch* Okay. He made his way to the other door. Was he stuck in some kind of loop?? A parchment could be seen on the door and Jackson blinked at it. Another one? He read the question posed and exhaled out of his nose. Now what would have made THIS question appear?? And now he couldn’t stop thinking about Zoryn. That girl… Jackson shook his head as he read it. *scratch scratch scratch* None sounded –very obviously- correct, but he had hesitations about each of them. The only one that was at least logical. He felt like there should be a little more to it than just that though. Hoping his morals were on track, he tapped his wand on the answer regarding getting a person’s consent.

Lo and behold… woohoo! The door had opened for him. He walked through to the next room and had to stop himself from letting out a frustrated groan. Come on, he was supposed to be a role model. He sucked it up and proceeded to read the third question. A follow up question? Okay, that shouldn’t be difficult. *scratch scratch* He nodded and proceeded to tap his wand to the second answer, explaining everything fully. The third answer had gotten his attention as well, but he was sure that Professor Noble wanted more to the answer than just checking if the drinker was allergic.

*scratch*
*scratch scratch*

Nothing happened. But… how could that be wrong? Jackson’s eyebrows furrowed and he reread the parchment. He gave himself a minute to think the question through before realizing that none of the answers were all inclusive. They were mostly pretty manipulative, and if his first choice wasn’t right then there was only one option. He tapped his wand on None of the Above. His eyes shifted around as he waited to see if this answer was acceptable instead. How many more doors would there be? What would be behind the last door? Did he win a new car?

Zoryn read over all of the answers, informed consent. Meaning they know and they say yes. Right? Right. Okay then blah blah blah, she picked none of the above. This was dumb. Could they leave now? She needed to fix her hair.

They were mostly pretty manipulative, and if his first choice wasn’t right then there was only one option. He tapped his wand on None of the Above. His eyes shifted around as he waited to see if this answer was acceptable instead. How many more doors would there be? What would be behind the last door? Did he win a new car?

Though it might have been more down to luck than judgement, Zoryn had nailed the third question first time...as had Daisy, Abra, Derf, Archer, Tina and Jackson. And as Chloe re-evaluated the options, and rectified her previous mistake, the boils on her hand completely disappeared and she too could proceed. Tina really didn’t need to rage quite so much. Noble was a grump, yes. Strict too. But he was qualified for his position, and he did have his reasons.

The door open, you go through it…and yet again, it isn’t the classroom. A fourth question awaited, although there was no multiple choice this time. Next to the parchment, hanging from a piece of string, was a self-inking quill with invisible ink.

SPOILER!!: Parchment – fourth door

4. You think you saw someone slip a potion into a housemate’s drink. What should you do?

That looked painful, and itchy. She subconsciously began to scratch her own wrist as she pondered the rest of the answers.

It was actually a lot easier than it had seen upon first glance. Having them say yes was really all you needed. It was up to THEM if they listened to your explanation and knew what they were getting themselves in to. So she tapped that one.

The previous question had something about informed consent, too. The first was ethics. All but the final one seemed to be good steps in the process of gaining informed consent. One had to first ask the question. There had to be some kind of question in order to require informed consent, right? And one had to discuss all of the risks, including allergies, before allowing the person to consume the potion. Otherwise you could keep that to yourself, ask your friend who you know is allergic to peanuts, watch them swell up and stop breathing and claim you had got informed consent. That was important. The person had to know whether anything bad would happen, clash with allergies. And of course, of course, they had to say yes.

So, no, it definitely wasn't the last one. She tapped the second choice which seemed to encompass most of what she thought informed consent was all about. Making sure your friend fully understands what the potion is and does, including any risks, before putting in their drink.

As the door opened, Dorian stepped through it and sighed as another door greeted him. A wooden one. At least he wasn't alone with the Gryffindor anymore but before he walked to the parchment to read the next question, he had taken out his wand from out of his sleeve and had pointed it at himself and did a complicated wave and felt the hot air charm dry his damp clothes and hair. Much better.

Keeping his wand in his hand, the Ravenclaw waited for Hanna to choose her answer before he decided on one as well and he tapped the Making sure your friend fully understands what the potion is and does, including any risks, before putting in their drink answer with the wand.

Wait was he wrong. Was it supposed to be none? no he stuck with his answer.

Unfortunately, it seems you haven’t read the parchment closely enough, and the door remains shut. And almost as if to encourage you to get it right more quickly, the skin is tautening on your wand hand and breaking out into…boils? Best re-read the options carefully and try again, before the boils can spread any further.

SPOILER!!: Parchment: third door

Tap the correct answer.

3. Which of the following scenarios shows informed consent?
  • Asking a friend if they would like to try your potion whilst they’re still half asleep
  • Making sure your friend fully understands what the potion is and does, including any risks, before putting in their drink
  • Checking whether your friend is allergic to the potion before giving it to them
  • Getting your friend to say “yes” before giving it to them
  • None of the above

Her emotional toolbox wasn’t equipped with constructive or positive ways of dealing with stress. Cordelia recoiled at a sudden unfamiliar touch. ”No, no, no” Who was this person? Would they help her or hurt her? Cordelia wasn’t sure what to think of his intentions. ”Too many doors, too many questions.” Low blood sugar in the mix too? Maybe, she hadn’t checked. That was sometimes a cause of anxiety. Or maybe it was just normal anxiety, because that happened too.

Perhaps Noble needed to have a word with the first year after class, but Indigo had the right idea…and the correct answer. The door opened for him, leading into the next room. If Cordelia wanted to stay with him and get into the classroom sooner, then all she needed to do was tap the same answer.

Inside the new room, a fourth question awaited, although there was no multiple choice this time. Next to the parchment, hanging from a piece of string, was a self-inking quill with invisible ink.

A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

What? WHAT?! WRONG ANSWER?!

Dorian nearly pressed his nose against the parchment to read it again. WHY? What had he done wrong?! AND WHY WAS THE DOOR OPENING FOR ZORYN SPINNET?!

If he could have made asdfghjkl in to a sound he would have done that right there. But that wouldn't help him right now so he grabbed his wand again only to find that his hand was slowly getting covered in disgusting boils.

As he re-read the parchment, and re-re-read it again, the fifth year finally realised what was going on and let out an annoyed sigh as he looked up at the ceiling before tapping.

none of the above please open up

Dang it he knew he should have changed his answer. Quickly looking over the sheet and tapping the none of the above he couldn't believe he talked himself out of the correct answer.

Why were they being tested on such material now? wouldn't it have been wise to do this their first term? He was just hoping that door would open now that he supposed he answered correctly. He prayed he answered correctly. Hurry door hurry.

Zoryn waved goodbye to Dorian(, ha sucker!) and made her way through the door. Only to receive YET another question. Okay this was officially the worst lesson ever. It was like a quiz, except she couldn't even cheat off anyone because they were all at different doors!!!!!!!!!

Upon reading the next set of instructions, Zoryn found herself groaning. Really? Free response? Who did Noble think she was?!

He was the WORST. "What do you lot reckon, tell the Headmaster?" Abra was smart. Collaborating with him would probably save her hair from any more unwanted water. And so she posed the question to the class.

curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

How was that WRONG?! Nettie let out a yelp as her hand broke out in boils. It was already sensitive due to the many scratches she'd given herself, thanks to - nerves? Dry skin? She wasn't even sure anymore - and now the boils on top of it? Small tears welled in her eyes and she quickly brushed them away with her good hand. No, she would NOT cry. This was not something to cry over. It was trivial and stupid.

Taking a deep breath, she tapped the final answer - none of the above. Because she was starting to think this was a trick question, and there was something wrong with each of these answers. Because the two she had selected (well, the one Chloe had selected had been her first bet but had refrained after she saw she got it wrong) had been the closest to being CORRECT in her mind. The others weren't even close, so it HAD to be none of the above.

Default Question 4
Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when

Daisy now was reading yet another piece of parchment but this time it wasn't multiple choice in terms of answers. She knew that conferring was permitted but she just wanted to answer the question.

She grabbed the quill and wrote:

SPOILER!!: Daisy's Answer

How to put this into words? Okay, I'll try. If I saw someone slip Polyjuice Potion into a housemate's drink, I would first tell the person whose drink had been tampered with not to drink the tainted drink. I would then inform my Head of House and the Headmaster on who administered the potion and who had their drink tampered with.

Daisy finished her answer and bit her lip slightly in nervousness. She didn't need this pressure.

Hanna was about to walk into the door, being that her answer was wrong. And she hadn't been expecting that. She was frowning, reading the question again, when she felt it. Just strange. Initially just a bit like she'd washed her hand with soap and forgot to moisturise. It was a bit tight. She scrunched up her fist, feeling it pull taught. And then. Noticed them. Boils.

"Oh no," she gasped. Was this part of the punishment for getting a wrong answer, or was she breaking out in failure boils!?

To rule it out, she re-read the question, her wand hand shaking to get some cool air around the boils. Informed consent... informed consent... well perhaps there was more to informed consent than what was already there. Tapping the final answer, none of the above, she waited to see if that one was right.

Conferring? With the likes of Zoryn, whose fault this entire lesson probably was anyway, what with the love potion in the pumpkin juice and the polyjuicing into Max? Yeah, thanks but no thanks.

Archer thought it over. Actually, it didn't take much thought, since if you cared about your housemate at all the correct answer was pretty obvious. So she grabbed the quill after Daisy gave her answer and quickly jotted down her own before putting the quill back down.

Now at the fourth door, Derf hesitated for just a moment to look around at the others who had made it here with him.............and his insides squirmed a bit seeing Zoryn because, well, there were multiple obvious reasons for that. Mostly, for now, he tried to just stay out of people's way as they moved to read the next message. Of course, he noticed a bit of distress on Chloe's face and therefore moved over to stand by her. "....you okay?" he asked subtly and just moments before Tina asked just the same thing. His blue eyes then moved over to the fourth door to read over the next question himself.

Which was...vague. There were a fair few details that made it hard for him to construct a complete answer, save for one knee jerk reaction which he scribbled on to a piece of parchment immediate.

Quote:
If someone's drink is suspected to be tampered with, under no circumstances do you allow them to drink it.

The question itself does not specify whether or not I personally saw who it was who slipped what into my friend's cup, but in a most desperate situation I would knock it out it out of their hands and pour it out - say they didn't believe me when I told them I thought something had been slipped into their cup. While that would prevent examination of the liquid to potentially solve the riddle of what had been slipped in in the first place, it would have spared my friend.
He wasn't satisfied with his answer just yet, but it was a start.

Ohhhhhhkay then. Seeing as no one was taking her up for a discussion, Zoryn went up to answer it by herself. There were many things she would do if she saw a housemate with a tampered drink. But it all depended on who that housemate was. If it was Anna Meriwether? She probably deserved whatever she had coming to her and Zoryn would honestly be the person slipping her the potion in the first place. So drink up, Anna!

If it were Faith... Things would be different. Zoryn would knock it out of her hands, explain later. Taking no risks for her best friend. Not now. Not ever. If it was one of the irrelevant underclassmen? Zoryn literally could not be bothered. Especially if she was at the other end of the table because letting them know would require effort.

But seeing as this was Professor Noble they were talking about, Zoryn knew that honesty wasn't really what he wanted. So when she went to answer the question, she decided to pretend like she was a decent human being. For all intents and purposes.

Ahem.

Quote:
Well, I wouldn't let them drink it. And I'd make sure no one else drank it either, probably take it for keeps to give to you (Professor Noble) and/or Headmaster Trent. Maybe you guys would want it to investigate or something.
But that's as far as she'd go 'cause once it was with an adult it wouldn't be her problem anymore. Just sayin'

Parchment three still didn't lead to the classroom, but at least her boils had completely cleared up. Nifty trick there, sir, and all bad feelings gone (for now... the day was young).

Chloe peered at the next parchment. An ESSAY? At a time like this? She pulled open her satchel and unrolled part of a roll of parchment. What would she do if someone spiked another student?

Quote:
First, I would make sure that I let my peer know their drink had been tampered with to make sure they don't drink it. Next, I would notify a professor, assuming this happened while still at Hogwarts.

Did Tina notice that her classmates' boils disappeared when they got the correct answer? Yes. Did that mean she found the idea of giving boils for incorrect answers more acceptable? Nope, she was still not okay with that! It was a cruel thing to do! If Noble wanted to give them incentive to get the correct answer (or whatever his reasoning behind it was), there were plenty of ways to do it that didn't involve hurting people.... though she would give the man credit for not leaving them stuck with boils indefinitely.

The dark-haired Ravenclaw glanced at her wand hand, half expecting it to break out in painful boils any moment, but that didn't happen. Ha, she out-tricked the trick question! She breathed a small sigh of relief as she stepped through the door. This time she wasn't the least bit surprised to find another door waiting for her, but she was surprised when she read the question and saw the quill dangling from a string. For a moment, she just stared at the parchment, unsure whether to feel annoyed or panicked. Did Noble switch to open-ended questions because the multiple choice ones weren't tripping up enough people? What was in store for the incorrect answers this time? Something worse than boils, she suspected. Whatever it was, she didn't want anyone to have to find out!

Tina took a deep breath and reread the question. The first answer that popped into her mind was to tell an adult, but she doubted that on its own was the answer Noble was looking for. It seemed too obvious, and judging by the previous question, the obvious answer was probably not the right one. "Make sure nobody drinks it..." she mumbled, hoping those who hadn't already answered would overhear her and not write the obvious answer - without tipping anyone off as to what she was doing. If Noble would give students boils for choosing a wrong answer, she didn't even want to know what he'd do if he thought she was giving people the answer. "Tell a professor and take the drink for evidence..."

Tina picked up the quill and wrote:

Quote:
The first thing I'd do is stop by housemate from drinking it. If telling them what I saw wasn't enough, I'd try to distract them and grab the drink or if all else failed, summon it out of their hands. Then I would report it to my Head of House or another professor I trusted and take the drink with me when I did so, both to make sure no one else drank it accidentally and to hand it in as evidence so it might be tested for tampering.
She was already second-guessing her answer as she stepped back. Was that thorough enough? What about her wording? Was there some way that could be used against her? All she could do now was wait and hope nothing weird happened to her!

Vivienne was laughing at Dorian and Patrick. Serves them right! What not multiple choice? But ethical scenarios? That would be easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. She read the scenario. She thought: I would knock that sucker out.

This time, Abra was disappointed but not surprised as he went through the door only to find... another door. Another parchment. Another question.

Wait, whAT? He had to WRITE something now? Awwwww, man.

Peering at the parchment with one eye closed, as that seemed to be the best trick for keeping the writing from moving around so much, Abra considered the question, and how to answer, but mostly, how to answer correctly with as few words - and as little writing - as possible. For reasons.

At Zoryn's words, Abra shrugged, then nodded. That certainly seemed like something to do. "I'd stop them drinking it first, if I could, or at least tell them something had been put in their drink. Then I'd tell someone, and bring the drink with me so they could test it for themselves." He scratched at his head, bit his lip, then decided to go for it, and picked up the quill.

SPOILER!!:
1. Stop them drinkign/tell them
2. Tell a profesir
3. Brign them the the drink to test

Abra was glad this was written with invisible ink so nobody could see his spelling, but it just made writing even more confusing. He wrote slowly, face screwed up, tongue poking out of the side of his mouth in concentration. Eventually, however, he got to the end of his answer, and waited to see if it was good enough to grant him entry.

Another door? Really? Vivienne would have also told the professor. Thank Merlin the writing was invisible. Vivienne was wondering Abra was screwing his face up. Then they waited...

Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat. Cordelia gazed mistrustfully at the boy as he offered to help her. Would he really stick with her, or was he going to ditch her the first chance he had? Seeing as she didn’t have many other options other than continuing by herself, Cordelia opted to follow him. Doing this by herself clearly wasn’t working out so well. ”Okay.” Cordelia stuck a hand in her bag and glanced at something inside it before pulling out a box of raisins. While the boy deliberated his answer choice, she started snacking on the raisins. Watching which answer the boy selected, Cordelia tapped her wand on none of the above after he did. The door had allowed him through, so she was assuming this answer would also allow her to progress to the next stage. Were they even trying to get to the classroom here, or was it going to dump them back in the hallway?
