Default Moving Staircases

The most logical way for you to get from one part of the castle to the next, from down to the dungeons all the way up to the seventh floor, is making use of the staircases. Even though using them is logical, that does not mean it is going to provide the easiest route from Point A to Point B. The staircases in this tower are notorious for moving without warning whether you are walking on them or not. Hopefully luck is on your side today.

Covering the walls from the bottom of the tower to the top are hundreds of portraits. While they may be intriguing, it is important that you stay focused on the task at hand: getting from one flight of stairs to the next. If you're not paying attention, the staircase you are on will move and you'll have to maneuver your way back down or up again or wind up sinking through one of the trick steps. Under no circumstances should you be sliding down the banisters -- doing so will put your life at risk and, if you live to tell the tale, cost you two week's worth of detention.

Rain. While NORMALLY Skylar would be okay with running in rain - she'd done it before - usually it was when she accidentally would get caught in the rain. Not when it was thunderstorming, as it were that morning when Skylar stood in the entrance hall for five minutes deliberating what to do. She couldn't NOT engage in her daily ritual exercise plan, BUT she also didn't fancy embracing those clouds, those raindrops.

With a sigh, the seventh year turned around and smiled. It wasn't going to be easy, but sprinting up the moving staircases from ground floor to seventh floor would be the perfect challenge. Up the stairs down the corridor and back up another flight of stairs in hopes to catch them moving to a desired area.

Which of course, didn't work out as planned, as Skylar started her slow sprint up from the third to fourth floor, halfway through the stairwell started to move. As she was moving quick, which lead to her nearly tripping over herself backed into the banister, to which she grabbed behind her to brace herself. Biting her lip, she swallowed and waited.

Until it stopped and she shakily continued up the staircase, a slow walk this time. Okay, adventure over? Perhaps just do sprints down an empty corridor instead. OR she supposed she could call it a wrap for today as she did get her heart rate quite accelerated with that scare.
