 In close proximity to the library lies the study hall. Whether you are a first year or a seventh year, a Gryffindor or a Slytherin, a boy or a girl, this room is the best place to go for your studying and homework completion needs. If you ever find yourself stuck on something or have no clue what you're doing, you can always ask those who you are studying with for help or the professor that is overseeing the study session.
Scattered around the room are groups of desks that make it perfect for you and your friends to collaboratively work together. Average-sized oil lamps have been strategically placed on the desks to create a calm, comfortable environment. In a neat pile in the centre of the desks are extra quills, bottles of ink, and spare parchment should you need it -- just remember to leave the quills and ink at the table and only use what you need for parchment. Under the windows a long bookshelf containing a copy of textbooks for each class can be found, which you are welcome to use during your time in this room.

Okay.
So she wasn't exactly studying. She didn't have much to study so far. But Harriet was a sixth year now, and she wanted to be more prepared now. So she was heading into the study hall so that she could work out her time table, and make sure she had enough time for everything that she wanted to do, so that she could make sure it all fitted in.
She'd found herself a table, and set out all her study. She had her timetable with her, a fresh piece of parchment, and her coloured pencils and pens. She wanted to make it look as pretty as possible. She was also going to colour code her classes, extra-curricular's, and free periods, so that she knew what she was doing and when.
She was going to be prepared this term. She really was.

While she had dropped classes she deemed unnecessary towards either a creature healing path, cursebreaking path, or journalism career - read: Herbology, Divination, Muggle Studies - she'd also picked up two new classes this year in alchemy and wandlore. So it wasn't as if she was going to have loads of free time, because on top of all her extracurriculars, she had quidditch tryouts and practices to manage.
"Hattie. Are you studying?" Cue, surprise on this sixth year's face, until she noticed the coloured timetable. "Ooh, looking good! I'm proud of you!" Planning was the life of the captain, which was pretty much her saving grace in managing all that she did.

Really, by sixteen she knew what she was capable of and she quite enjoyed the challenge.

Because tainting the outside of such a fancy book seemed like a sin. "um. Maybe... a snake... riding a broom?" Was that even a thing?

She knew that Sky could probably handle it, but she just wanted to make sure. She would hate to see her getting really stressed. Sky knew that she could do though, they'd gone through 5 years of school, so she had to know what she could handle. They'd also picked the subjects that they wanted to do, so hopefully they would feel a little more invested in the subjects now. " You're made"" The girl laughed, shaking her head. She'd only taken 5 subjects, but she was happy with that. She didn't even need her NEWTS, but she wanted to jhave them just in case.
Hattie nodded, taking the planner from her and opening up. It was a nice planner, and she was a little bit jealous. She liked her rainbow planner, but it really wasn't as nice as this one. "Is that even a thing?" She mused with a laugh. She pushed the planner aside, and quickly began to sketch something to see even if it looked good.
