Girls' Bathroom

https://s26.postimg.org/6zt0n6hzt/gi...oom-banner.jpg
GIRLS ONLY! STAY OUT, POTTER AND WEASLEY! The funny inscription etched on this door with a potions knife reminds us all of the great deeds Harry Potter and his friends performed in this very bathroom. Today it is fortunately no longer nearly as shifty as it used to be. Nevertheless, this bathroom is still haunted by the one and only Moaning Myrtle and, if you happen to speak Parseltongue, can gain access to an empty Chamber of Secrets.

If you are ever in need of extra toilet paper or a towel dispenser needs to be restocked, there is a small cupboard across from the sinks containing all of the bathroom necessities you could ever need. Do the caretaker a favour and keep this restroom clean and in tact. The toilets should only be used for, well, your bathroom business -- not for brewing advanced potions. And please try not to upset Myrtle in any way so she doesn't burst into a loud fit of crying and wailing and decide to flood the bathroom and the corridor outside for the millionth time. Be nice to her, even if you must lie.

Oh MERLIN, if her bladder had only one more drop in it, Hanna was SURE it would pop in her body and she would die. Fron the Ravenclaw common room, to the Dungeons for Potions, was a very long way. The journey started with a small desire for the toilet, but the more steps she went down, the stronger the desire got... until she felt a moment away from bursting. Trying to keep her legs crossed AND walking was difficult, but she didn't want to deal with any spoilage.

Into the cubicle she waddled, slammed the door closed, locked it, and was ONE MILISECOND away from total chaos when she was FINALLY in the safe zone. Bladder volume doing down, down down.... empty. Holding on and dealing with the anxiety of wetting herself on the FIRST DAY was exhausting, and Hanna let out a sigh of relief.

She reached for the toilet paper.

Her fingers grasped at an empty carboard roll.

"Oh no," she whispered. She hadn't learned any spells, but she knew there was a conjuring one. Why hadn't she read them before coming? Trying not to cry, because that would be a disaster. She'd be the girl who ALMOST wet herself on her first day, and the girl who cried on the first day.

"Excuse me," Hanna called out.

Coming out of the bathroom stall, Felicity washed her hands and dried them before studying her reflection in the mirror. Dark circles under her eyes, check. Ridiculously chapped lips, check. She sighed loudly, wishing she'd taken the time to put make up on that morning, and reached into her back for some chap stick.

...and immediately regretted that dramatic sigh. Straightening up, chap stick still pressed to her lips, Felicity turned quickly and looked for the sound of the noise. "Hello?" she called out, pausing to put her things away before approaching the shut door. "Everything okay?"

Both of you!

That class went longer than it needed and Zita had been trying to up her water intake since she read in a magazine how good it was for you. Well, no one mention in this magazine that you would have to pee a thousand times more than you already did. So throughout the end of her last class, she wiggled in her seat, gorgeously, but she couldn't hold it anymore and hurried to the bathroom as soon as class was over.

Rushing in she grabbed the next open stall seeing two being used and sat down. A sigh came as she didn't have to hold in her blatter anymore and that small moment where relaxing could happen, though it didn't last long. Soon she heard running water and then someone talking. Was someone going to talk to her while she sat on a toilet? She was not prepared for this and her moment was gone, though hearing the other girl answer Z thought maybe if she just kept quiet the girls would talk and she wouldn't have to engage in this awkward anymore than she already was.

What if the excuse me was directed towards her though? With another quiet sigh, she looked at the stall wall where the other girl was on the other side. "Which person are you talking to?" That could answer the first of the questions to find out what was going on.

Jessiqua 01-07-2018 06:08 AM

Hanna was locked in a stall, and that meant that the noises she heard... she had no idea who they belonged to. She thought that there were TWO people in there, which meant SURELY someone could pass her some toilet paper. "Um," she squeaked, "I was wondering if-if... someone might be able to pass me some toilet paper." She hoped they weren't mean, and wouldn't question her ability to summon the paper. Or leave without helping her... but no, surely not. People here were NICE, weren't they?

.................. Okay, now two people were speaking to her.

Felicity didn't sign up for this, and she stood between the two stalls, eyes looking from door to door. "I'm.... Uh, I'm talking to whoever said excuse me." Which, if she was right, wasn't the person who was now talking. Did people regularly have conversations in the toilet?

THERE. When the second voice joined in, Felicity sighed a little, before pulling out her wand. "Yeah, sure. One sec," she said, before aiming her wand at the spare rolls and levitating the toilet paper over the door of the girl who asked for it. She shook her head and stifled a chuckle. "Let me know when you've got it." 'Cause she wasn't just gonna let it drop, but she would like to be able to stop casting the spell when the girl got it.

Oh good the other girl got her and got her paper,
which was good because looking at her own supply she had enough for herself. Thank Merlin she had enough because two of them needing paper would have been so embarrassing and so annoying. Finishing up with her business Zita stood and flushed before exiting and giving the girl who had her wand out a smile.

"Seems like the house elves aren't doing their job, I just used the last of mine too." Were they slacking on cleaning the castle or was this bathroom just very busy today. After washing her hands she pulled out her makeup from her purse to touch up a bit. No need to go back out with the boys and look like she had an hour old makeup face on.

"She probably has it by now and if not it will most likely land on her head." Really she wasn't sure why the older Slytherin was still doing that much work.

Jessiqua 01-09-2018 06:43 AM

It was with such relief that a roll of toilet paper appeared over the top of the stall. FURTHERMORE, that roll wasn't attached to a hand and a peeking face. Magic was SO COOL! It was good that the walls were hiding her grin, with her love of magic. "I got it, thanks," she said happily, putting it in its spot and tearing some off the roll.

Once she was done, fussing with her stockings, her skirt, her robe (which DID NOT dunk into the toilet, thankfully), she flushed and exited.

There were two older Slytherins. "Uhh Hi," she said, feeling quite small. "Th-thanks for the paper," she said, but wasn't sure WHO she was thanking.

Harron Peasley 01-09-2018 09:44 PM

After pocketing her wand and returning to the mirror, Felicity turned to the younger Slytherin and raised an eyebrow. "Why don't you replace it, then?" she couldn't help but ask. There was a bin in the bathroom, along with a supply of extra toilet roll, and it would save another person going through the same thing as the third person in the room. Besides, did she not realise that the Castle was huuuuge and had, like, a million toilets, not to mention dorm rooms, common rooms and classrooms to clean? Food to cook, laundry to do?

Poor House Elves. Sounded like hard to work. It wasn't like the bathroom was flooded, or the toilets blocked.

"You're welcome," she said, offering the younger girl a smile in the mirror.

Bazinga 01-10-2018 07:19 PM

She gave Felicity eyes, it was bad enough she was dating the cute prefect, but she was actually trying to tell Zita Valla to work? "Excuse me? Do I look like a house elf?" She wasn't going to do their job for them, that was not what she was here for. "Plus I don't know why they wouldn't just get that dumb ghost girl to be in charge of cleaning this bathroom. Maybe giving her a job like that she wouldn't be so emotional all the time." Girl could flood the bathroom so obviously she could move objects enough that filling the toilet rolls shouldn't be that hard.

As she put a new layer of lipstick on Z looked at the first year through the mirror. That was why she didn't just summons some herself, she didn't know how. "You should learn the summonings charm soon, it comes in very helpful in times like that, though I think I'd let the professors know that the house elves aren't doing a great job in here." Putting the tube back in her purse she turned to the girls. "Honestly this place could use some air freshening and a splash of new color. " It wouldn't hurt to have a prettier color in the bathroom even if it was a bathroom.

Moaning Myrtle 01-11-2018 07:31 AM

*SNIFF, SNIFF* Oh, woe is me! Noooobody loves poooor miserable Moaning Myrtle! Not even enough to come visit...

The ghost was sitting in the pipes mourning her own untimely death when she heard voices. Not talking to her, of course. Nobody ever wanted to chat with ugly fat Moaning Myrtle!

FINE! Well, if they were going to ignore her, she'd ignore them right back! But then she heard the words "dumb" and "ghost". OH, NO THEY DID NOT JUST COME INTO HER BATHROOM AND MAKE FUN OF HER!

With a loud wail, She shot out of her toilet and right up to the mean girl's (Zita) face, water overflowing behind her.

"Oh, so I'm j-just a DUMB GHOST GIRL, a-am I?!?! Well, a-at least I know b-better than to t-talk about others B-BEHIND THEIR B-BACK! How w-would you l-like it if I BARGED I-INTO your c-common room and s-started saying nasty things about Y-YOU?!?!?!"

*SOB, SOB* She turned to the other two girls (Hanna and Felicity) "A-are you here t-to make fun of m-me too?"

Jessiqua 01-13-2018 10:27 PM

AH, so Hanna deducted that it was the older Slytherin who had passed the toilet paper. She washed her hands and smiled at the girl in the mirror. She was VERY appreciative of passing her paper, even though it was just paper. It was more of a saving. She'd saved Hanna from a very uncomfortable position. What if she'd had to come OUT of the stall to look for paper?

But what the older girl appeared to have in friendliness, the younger, but still older than Hanna, Slytherin girl seemed a bit brash. Hanna tried to resist the natural response of widening her eyes. WHAT? Was there some kind of... bad blood between them?

And what dumb ghost girl!?

Hanna found herself nodding dumbly. Summoning charm, CHECK. "I- I will," she said. She'd aspire to it. Err... but did she have to be the one to approach Professors to dob in the house elves? Hanna chewed on her lip and nodded. Right. No, well she could do this, couldn't she? She WAS at Hogwarts, at boarding school. She could find someone. Maybe Professor Marchand.

At the thought of heading out, she heard a WAIL, and her hands snapped over her ears. "WHAT IS THAT?!" She yelled over the sound. Right, so THIS was the dubm ghost girl the Slytherin was talking about.

Hanna's face fell in HORROR as the ghost turned on her. "N-nn-n-nnnnnoo," she stammered. "I-I-I j-just needed a wee." Was that TMI?

Bazinga 01-21-2018 07:41 PM

Zita should have know that the ghost girl would be hanging around. She rolled her eyes as the whiner came into view, but held her laugh as she clearly startled the first year. Z just shook her head as Moaning M kept going, really they couldn't have found a way to make her go off to the other side yet? She was probably the most annoying in the castle, even peeves left things alone after awhile. "I wasn't making fun of you Myrtle, I was just saying that if the professors gave you a job, that it might make you happier and give you some purpose around here."

Giving her sweetest fakest smile she looked back to the mirror to give a final check of her hair and makeup. Looking at the first year she had expected the Felicity to say something, but when she didn't Z just smiled, "This is the famous Moaning Myrtle, moaning because she is always upset and blames us." By the looks of her ghost she figured she wasn't popular in school and that was why she ended up in a toilet in the first place.

Harron Peasley 01-28-2018 12:52 AM

Did Zita look like a house elf? "Well..." Felicity started, before biting her tongue, although a sly glint remained in her eye. It probably wasn't the best idea to insult the girl - she was only a kid, really, and surely would grow out of such entitled behaviours? Hopefully. She didn't say anything about Myrtle getting a job, aside from rolling her eyes a little. If Zita wasn't going to do the decent thing, what made her thing that Myrtle should?

With a couple of flicks of her wand, Felicity sent a couple of toilet paper rolls sailing from the cupboard into the toilet stalls, and the rubbish into the bin. Really, it wasn't difficult.

"I wouldn't try using a charm whilst you're... You know, using the bathroom," the American said, wincing a little at the thought. Goodness, she didn't want to be the one Zita was putting her hands on if she'd use her wand in the stall - that was just not hygienic in the slightest. I mean, sure, one could polish their wand regularly, but she wasn't planning to touch hers before washing her hands.

And, as if summoned by Zita's mean comment, here was Myrtle herself. With a roll of her eyes in the other Slytherin's direction, she shook her head. No, she - like Hanna - was just here to 'have a wee'. The phrase almost made her giggle.

She headed out of the Hufflepuff common room, all of her assignment creations in her canvas bag, and made her way to the girls bathroom on the second floor. She wanted a bit more privacy than the Hufflepuff dorms would provide, especially if her soap and face mask didn’t work. Before walking into the bathroom, she glanced up and down the hall, then poked her head inside and questioned “Hello? Is anyone in here?” Thankfully, there was no response.

She entered the bathroom and sat her canvas bag upon the sink counter. Emmalyn placed her items, one by one, on the counter and pulled out her notebook and pencil. She decided to start with the soap. Clean hands were good to have before applying a face mask. After unwrapping the bar of soap, she turned on the faucet to a nice warm temperature and stuck her hands under the warm running water. With her left hand, she picked up the bar of coconut lime soap and rubbed it between her hands, working up a nice lather. She placed the soap back on the waxed paper and finished washing off the residue.

The lime scent filled the bathroom with its mild aroma. The coconut was far less detectable, but a hint could found if she sniffed her hands. “That seemed to work well.” Then it was time to try the mask. She opened her container to find a brownish gooey substance inside. She had forgotten that avocado browned so quickly. She figured it should work just fine, but not be as pretty as it first was. Her fingers dipped into the container and began spreading the goo on her face. It was cool and refreshing. It needed to be left on her face for fifteen minutes, so she figured it was a good time to start taking notes.

The mask had started to feel crusty after about ten minutes and the desire to scratch her face was almost overwhelming by the fifteen minute mark. She quickly turned on the water at the fifteen minute mark and used her new soap to remove the mask from her face. The brown, crusty goo fell into the sink and her face felt much better after it was completely removed. Her skin was now very soft and smooth. The mask had helped and it was so easy to make.

She reached over and grabbed her bamboo towel to dry her face and hands. The towel was a bit scratchy for her face, but it did make a good hand towel. She wasn’t sure if it was due to her spell casting abilities or if it was the type of towel she chose to make. Maybe bamboo wouldn’t get that soft? Either way, it still worked and she was thrilled about it. She cleaned up her mess and packed away her items before leaving the bathroom and heading back to the Hufflepuff dorm to write her reflection.

Ginevra 03-18-2018 07:26 AM

Daisy slowly entered the girls' bathroom, hoping that she would be able to test her products successfully. She carefully placed her soap and face mask on the left side of the sink and the face cloth on the right side of the sink. Daisy turned on the tap and thoroughly wet her face with warm water. She then grabbed the soap from its box and worked a creamy later in her hands before carefully washing her face, ensuring no soap got in her eyes or mouth. Daisy loved the feel of the soap which made her skin feel supple and the lavender scent was very relaxing. After rinsing the soap off her face and any soap from her hands, she placed the soap back in the box.

Daisy carefully opened the jar and used her fingertips in order to apply the face mask that she had made. She loved the fruity/sweet smell of the mask and the fact that it wasn't reacting badly to her skin. After fifteen minutes of letting the mask do its job, Daisy carefully rinsed it off, looking at her glowing face in the mirror with a smile.

Daisy then picked up the handmade face cloth and gently patted her face dry. The towel dried Daisy's face without any issue. She packed away her items and with a quick spell cleaned the sink she had been using, before heading to her dormitory to write her reflection.

Long Term Herbology Assignment

Kye had finally gotten all of the pieces together for her Herbology assignment. She had finished, but was unsure how she felt about her product still. Hoping she wasn't about to find out she accidentally poisoned herself, she went into the bathroom and lay her items out on the sink. Err… wait here please. If she was going to put this towel on her face, she wasn’t going to just lay it across the sink. She got out her wand and scourged the sink twice over just in case, hoping she could count on her fellow students to be clean but not putting all of her faith into the notion. Teenagers were iffy. Satisfied that it was clean enough, Kye lay down the small towel in a fold.

She let the water run for a bit, waiting for it to catch a little warmth. As it did, Kye looked around for Moaning Myrtle. She had no problem with the ghost personally (she didn’t typically go in this restroom anyhow), but she would prefer not to be snuck up on or yelled at right now. The coast seemed clear, and Kye rubbed the soap in her hands until it began to foam and bubble. Okay she thought, At least it’s behaving like soap, right? That’s a good sign. She began tracing it across her face, outlining her eyes and withdrawing her lips so she could get a full emersion to her soap. As she inhaled through her nose, she could catch the scent coming off of her soap. If she hadn’t been the creator, she would not have noticed the grapefruit addition. The lavender scent was quite powerful but not too overwhelming. The juniper berry seemed to add just enough for her to question what it was, but it seemed to let jasmine take the lead.

Her face was covered in soap and she tried to observe how it felt on her skin. It wasn’t burning which was a good sign. She washed off her face, noting that the juniper and grapefruit smell were very weak in comparison to the lavender. Next up was the mask. She opened the container and made a face. It needed to be mixed up a little bit. The water seemed to be separating slightly? Or was it just because she had accidentally used too much when making it? She put the lid back on and shook the ingredients a bit to get the right consistency again. She reopened it and took a bit in her hands. As she could have guessed, she noticed that it didn’t seem to stay precisely where she had lay it. It was being weighed down enough by the extra water and weight of the oatmeal (she assumed). She did her best to drain the excess water from her container, since she probably should have done that first, and put a bit more of the mask on herself. It seemed to be meshing together nicely enough now to be able to keep on her face for the appropriate amount of time. She took note of the noticeable presence of baking soda and tried to relax for a few minutes more. Letting ten minutes go by, she began to wash off the food mask and picked up the towel to pat dry. She had made light about her towel not being as soft as she would like, but one accidental rub across the face reminded her. She had done a pretty good job of getting the fibers out, but it seemed as though it had a couple of pieces that could have been done a little better. It didn’t hurt her face or anything, it was just a slight inconsistency.

Face fairly dry now, Kye looked in the mirror to make sure she got everything off. She didn’t notice anything different about her skin by appearance, but she ran her hand across her cheek and it definitely felt softer. She could feel the moisture and the aftereffect of the baking soda, which she was grateful for. Deciding that now was the only logical time to write her assessment, she cleaned up the sink and headed back to her dorm. Honestly, it was a miracle she hadn’t found a way to make her face catch fire or something.
