Down the long corridor to the left of the Common Room are the boy's dorms. Torches hanging on the walls light the way, allowing you to clearly see the many portraits of Slytherin alumnus students that line the walls. It's suggested that you'd be careful with what you do or say here because the portraits don't just hang here for the decor.

There is a dorm for room for each of year of the house. Student's, you will find many four-poster beds all draped with green silk hangings and the coverlets to be in green with large snake motifs on them. Silver lantern's hang from the ceiling and the walls of the dorms are decorated with Slytherin crests. If you lie awake at night its possible to hear the lake water lapping against the windows.

Be aware this Dorm is for Slytherin BOYS ONLY. Each room has a charm placed on it that will alert the Head of House on any presence of girls. Consider this your final warning. Any girl's caught trying to get in here WILL face the wrath of Professor Vance.

Although Gunnar felt like he was becoming more accustomed to Hogwarts as the days and weeks wore on, he still couldn't help the homesick feeling that persistently nagged at the back of his mind. He missed his siblings terribly, and even his parents, and the closer it got to his birthday he felt even worse. It still felt like forever until Christmas break.

He was happy to have gotten a part in the play though and decided to write home to tell his family about it. Plus, if he focused on practicing his lines, maybe that would distract him enough to not feel so homesick. He just wasn't so sure about being a munchkin - was he really that short? Yeah, compared to the older kids here, he probably was. And he had no clue what a jitterbug was. He probably should read the script.

Next up was the towel.

Perched on his bed, Max gave an impatient huff as he stripped away pieces of beach grass. He instantly regretted choosing to complete the task here because it was making a mess but it was too late now. On the plus side, it would give him the opportunity to practice a few cleaning charms.

The task was relatively easy but incredibly tedious and the Slytherin was almost tempted to check out the Muggle Studies classroom and see if any of that fabric from the sewing lesson was still hanging around. That'd make a better towel than GRASS.

When he had what he hoped was enough material, Max drew his wand and quickly checked his textbook for the incantation. Intorqueo corda. Okay.

He cleared his throat and pointed his wand. "Intoqueo corda!"

The fibres twisted and twined until finally a towel was formed. It was a tiny towel, mind you but he didn't recall the assignment instructions saying what size the towel had to be.

Now he just needed to try everything.

Max retrieved the soap and 'facemask' he had created earlier and glanced around the dormitory. He really hoped the other boys didn't come in right now.

The soap didn't smell great and he figured sunflower and cinnamon wasn't a great mix. Blahhh, did he really have to try it!?

He filled a small bowl with water and dunked his hands before lathering up the hand-made soap between his hands. It made soapy bubbles, so that was good. He rinsed his hands used the tiny towel to dry them. The towel was kind of ... scratchy. Not ideal.

And now for the facemask.

He moved the bowl of water to his bedside table, kicked off his shoes, laid down in bed and put the slices of cucumber on his eyes. A few moments later, the fourth year had drifted off into a snooze.
