Welcome to your second duel!
This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

Professor Hirsch will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.

OOC: This duel must be completed by the 17th of July by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.
First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel.

It was time to duel!
As always, Abey was quite excited for this day. Admittedly, his enthusiasm for things like duelling and really anything to do with clubs and stuff had sort of started to dwindle, and the same went for sports too, or sort of anything where people were there to WATCH, especially if he was likely to FAIL, and DOUBLE ESPECIALLY now that it had started to feel like failing was the only thing he was good at. It... sort of made the prospect of playing Quidditch more anxiety-provoking than it had ever done too, bUT THAT WAS A FUTURE PROBLEM.
TODAY'S problem was duelling, and Abey was determined for it to NOT be a problem, but a FUN thing. He was duelling Théo, after all, who had been his friend since a million years before they had even started at Hogwarts. No way was it going to NOT be fun.
Trying to ignore the fact that they were absolutely being watched (by Hirsch at the very least), Abey stepped forward into the arena and grinned at Théo, giving an overly-dramatic bow (with a FLOURISH) before raising his wand. He was forgoing the Featherlight Charm that he had started with last time, wanting to try out some NEW strategies, because even though it was appaaaaaarently best to perfect an arsenal of a few select spells, he didn't want anyone to be able to know what was coming from him, he wanted to be VERSATILE.
... And had not yet realised that that was easier said than done.
"Rictusempra!"
It was always good to laugh, right?

Ok Théo liked dueling since he could actually do something and he was not limited to reading from a book and memorizing dates and stuff. PLUS he was dueling Abey which should make this well maybe not a million times more fun but more fun than it would normally be he thinks.
See now they were starting. Théo with his wand out he watched Abey. The second year grinned back at Abey and bowed not as cool as he did but just a normal one. So Théo wanted to try somthing different liking rolling away from a spell like you would see in a movie or something. Or was he just imagining that. So when Abey cast his spell he dove away from it for fun.
Yeah it wasnt as cool as he thought it would be.

Aw, drat. He missed. Maybe Abey was more than a little disappointed by that, not just that his spell hadn't hit in this duel situation, but because he would have liked to see Théo laughing uncontrollably because of the tickling spell. It would have been funnyyyyyyy.
Of course, there was nO TIME to voice his disappointment, because duel.
Hearing the incantation of Théo's spell was enough to tell Abey that he did nOT WANT TO GET HIT BY IT. Slugs were NOT supposed to come from the mouth, okay? Ew ew ew gROSS.
So, naturally, he dived out of the way, basically meaning he THREW HIMSELF FLAT TO THE GROUND. A little painfully actually, seeing as he ended up smacking his chin on the floor and slamming his teeth together, but mercifully missing his tongue. "Owwwwww."
OWWWWWWWW.
Okay... it didn't hurt that much, but shhhh. It was a DISTRACTION. OWWWW.
"OwwwwWWWwWWWWwPericulum!" Listen. Maybe it was a bit of a sneaky move, acting MEGA hurt and then casting a spell mega suddenly RIGHT AT HIM like that, but it was within the rules and ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE AND DUELS. Sort of.
And so was the Trip Jinx that Abey tried his best to throw on top afterwards, sort of accidentally going back to his favourite duelling technique even though he had planned to NOT use a method he usually went with. Maybe the sparks would take Théo off guard and trip him up, or maybe he'd dodge the sparks and go straight into the Trip Jinx? OR MAYBE SOMETHING ELSE WOULD HAPPEN, but either way, Abey knew he had to be READY for a retaliation, so he quickly jumped back to his feet.

Hirsch couldn't help but smile at the display of dramatics here, particularly from Abey. Maybe it was something he should've expected, what with setting two Gryffindors up against each other, but it was still enough to amuse the man. Look at that flourish! And the dives!
Though, that second dive? That was enough to make the man move forward, ready to end the duel right then and there but, apparently, this was a diversionary tactic?
Well, he hadn't seen it coming.
Pity that the duel had to end there because Hirsch, for one, would've liked to see the result of that tactic. So, rather reluctantly, the man struck up the shield between the two Gryffindors before stepping out from his spot on the side. "Excellent! Well done, both of you. Pity we have to end it there but both of you did spectacularly." So really, they should be proud. "It was very close between the two of you but, Abey, you've taken the lead today. Congratulations! And well done on putting up a good fight, Theo."
