Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

Kay was so amused. Roderick had paired her up with the lovey dovey couple. Whoever her opponent or opponents were, she was confident in her abilities. She may not be the best duellist around but she did know enough. "Rose, Gaston. Hello! I'll try to go easy on you two.'' She beamed at them before inclining her head. She wasn't delaying this duel.
''Immobulus!'' That one was aimed at Gaston. "Rictusempra!'' Sorry, Rose. Even if you were Kay's musketeer, spells had to be thrown at you too.

Gaston walked into the dueling arena, wondering who he'd be matched up with this time. He'd seriously considered not joining Dueling Club this term, but he came back because he still had something to prove. That and he didn't want Sokolov to think he'd scared him off after their duel last term. He was relieved when he looked around and saw Kay; at least he wasn't paired up with Sokolov again! Then he saw Rose and his face fell slightly. He didn't want to hex the love of his life - come to think of it, he didn't want to hex either of his partners!
He laughed a little at what Kay said. "Thanks, I'll keep that in mind," he replied, bowing to her and then to Rose. His eyes lingered on her for a moment. "Good luck, ladies." It wasn't long before Kay sent a spell at him, and he instictively defleced it back with a nonverbal shield charm. Sorry, Kay... it was nothing personal!
Now what spell should he use for Rose? He didn't want to use any spells on her at all, but somehow he didn't think walking away from the duel would go over too well. But at least this was better than last term; at least he didn't have to pretend he wasn't in love with her this time! He eventually decided to send a nonverbal Expelliarmus at Rose because taking her wand wouldn't actually harm her, right? Still, his hand trembled slightly, and there was a guilty look in his eyes as he aimed his wand at her.

In all honestly Rosalyn hadn't really wanted to sign up for duelling club, but she knew that it was important to work on her defensive and offensive magic; one could never know when these skills could come in handy to protect herself and/or others.
Stepping into the arena, she smiled as her eyes landed on Kay, though her face fell as she spotted Gaston. Really? If she didn't know any better, Rosalyn would have thought that Hirsch was purposely pairing them off as it had happened TWO times last term. Eh, they just didn't have enough Professors signing up for this thing. Didn't mean that she had to like it; in fact she HATED the thought of shooting things towards him. What were they going to do? Go ridiculously easy on each other? She was more than fine with that if it meant that she didn't hurt him; that was something that she could not bear.
"Good luck," she said, bowing to the both of them in turn. "I won't be going easy on you, Kay." There was no way that she was going to step down from the challenge even if it was one of her best friends. In fact, she WANTED to have some fun and see just how crazy things could get between the two of them with no one getting seriously injured. Rosalyn wasn't a competitive person by nature but that didn't mean that she couldn't get some enjoyment out of this, and a competition with Kay would definitely do that. Her friend could more than take it.
Within moments, she had raised a shield using non-verbal Protego, rebounding the spell back towards Kay. Her eyes moving back to Gaston, she saw the look on his face and knew that he was sending something her way. Another non-verbal Protego took care of whatever that had been. In her mind, she didn't even think to send something towards him.

Good luck? Kay didn’t need it. Not because she was cocky or anything. She just wasn’t in this for winning but rather just for the fun of it. Gaston and Rose both deflected her spell back at her which she calmly and quickly ducked though she very narrowly missed Rose’s. “Serpensortia!’’ She was able to conjure a snake which she hoped would distract her colleagues. And while they were distracted… “Incarcerous!”

Was it bad that Gaston was glad his spell missed Rose? He knew the spell he sent at her wouldn't have actually harmed her, but still he hated sending spells at her at all! He half-expected Rose to deflect his spell back at him and prepared to react, but to his surprise, she didn't. He smiled and gave her an encouraging nod. Well played, Rose.
The Frenchman's bright blue eyes blinked in confusion as he saw the snake Kay sent at him. Really, a snake? Well at least it wasn't a ring of fire this time! He could sort of handle a snake. He drew his wand and cast a nonverbal Vipera Evanesca at the animal. Then he turned toward Kay with a slightly apologetic look in his eyes and sent a nonverbal Obscuro at her. Sorry, Kay!
Now what spell should he send at Rose? Ooh, he had a fun idea! He was sure Rose would like the result if this spell worked. There was a playful glint in his eye as he aimed his wand at Rose. "Orchideous!" he actually said this spell out loud to give her a clue to what he was trying to do. He hoped it worked! Well, this was one way to give his girlfriend flowers...

Things had just began, and Rosalyn was already having fun despite the fact that fighting wasn't her strongest suit and she was going against one of her best friends and her boyfriend. Not like she would sent anything bad towards either of them; she didn't have it in her to be mean to ANYONE.
As Kay sent Incarcerous towards her, Rosalyn quickly did a sidestep, the spell passing by her an inch to the left. It wasn't going to be THAT easy. The other spell was more than allowed to hit her, however; in fact Rosalyn reached out and took hold of the flowers. Inwardly she was gushing though she was not going to do anything more seeing as they were in the middle of a duel. Instead, she shot Gaston a quick loving look before placing the flowers where they couldn't be harmed.
"Colloshoo!" she called out quickly, pointing her wand at Kay. "Titillando!" she added a moment later, this time going after Gaston. She really didn't want to do anything bad to her love, but tickling wasn't terrible.

There went the snake. This was fine with Kay but what was not fine was here getting suddenly blindfolded. Thick sucked! In no time she whipped off the blindfold. Like that would keep her down. She was just in time to see the spell Gaston sent at Rose. Seriously… was this a date or something?
Oh no, you don’t Rose. The other woman would have to abjure her belief that Kay was going to be held back by the Stickfast Hex. “Protego!’’ In the attempt to defend herself, she also deflected the Hex. ‘’Carpe Retractum!’’ This one was directed at Gaston. No one was that good that they’d be able to avoid all the spells.

Gaston smiled as Rose accepted the flower spell he sent at her. He knew she would like that spell! He caught the loving look she sent him, and it melted his heart. He was so lost in his feelings for her that he didn't even register what spell she sent at him next until...
He was suddenly clutching his side, doubled over laughing. A tickling hex? Touche, Rose. He pointed his wand at her, but he couldn't stop laughing long enough to get the incantation out. He was laughing so hard, he couldn't hear the spell Kay sent at him. Out of nowhere, ropes wound themselves around him, and before Gaston could react, he was pulled toward Kay. Outwardly he was still laughing from the effects of Rose's spell, but he inwardly groaned. Tickling and ropes?! What next?
It took some time, but he was eventually able to wiggle his wand hand free. "E-emancipare!" he choked out between fits of laughter, and the ropes released him. One spell down, one more to go. "Finite!" There, that was so much better! He finally stopped laughing long enough to catch his breath. His dark hair fell into his eyes, and his face was still bright red from laughter as he turned to Rose. But he wasn't angry about the spell. That was the most he'd laughed in ages! He smiled a little as he aimed his wand at his love. This time he knew exactly what spell to use; it was the one spell that could show her firsthand just how happy she made him. "Gaudeo!" ow he just had to come up with a spell for Kay, but which one should he use? An idea occured to him and he aimed a Jelly-Brain Jinx at the other woman.
Additional Effects: MUST be directed at one spell at a time (one Finite for EACH spell desired to be cancelled). Will not cancel everything in the vicinity of the caster. (Finite MUST be cast on EACH spell to cancel them. The exception is spells that combine into ONE big spell: like Oppugo and Avis combine into attacking birds. ONE finite would be required to get rid of the attacking and the birds. If it was say, Rope and Ice, however, these are two separate spells that would need separate Finite's to cancel)

Seeing her Gaston laughing like that made Rosalyn feel as if she was going to melt into a puddle. He was way too adorable for his own good and she could hardly stand it. Thank Merlin he still had the sense about him to get out of Kay's ropes despite the hysterics.
As the Stickfast Hex was rebounded back at her, Rosalyn had moments to cast a shield. "Protego!" she called out, watching the spell bounce off harmlessly. Before she could launch another defence, she was hit by a spell from Gaston, but what did it matter? What did anything matter when she was so...
HAPPY!!
Suddenly Rosalyn found herself rocking back in forth and humming to her own music. That was it though: she started singing too.
"I feel pretty, oh, so pretty. I feel preeeeetty and wiiiiiiitty and briiiiiight! And I pity any girl who isn't me tonight." Dancing over to Gaston and Kay, she grabbed one of their hands and started swinging them. "I feel charming, oh, so charming. It's alaaaaaarming how chaaaaarming I feel! And so pretty that I hardly can believe I'm real."

So Gaston had managed to wiggle free from those ropes and Kay wished she had bounded him a tad tighter. As it was, this wasn’t this case so she was ready to move on. But no before Gaston threw another spell at her. She was too busy thinking fast to pay attention to him throwing one at Rose soon after.
She used the Teleportation spell to move from her location. But where did she reappear next? Behind her colleagues. Meaning they were facing away from her. And… Rose was singing. Kay clamped a hand over her own mouth to stifle the laughing. This would just give her location away before she cast her spell.

Blink, blink. Gaston could only stare in disbelief as Rose starting singing, and before he could react, she'd grabbed his hand and was swinging him. He wasn't sure whether he should laugh or panic. Seeing his Rose like this was too adorable for words, but he couldn't help but worry that he'd cast too strong a cheering charm on her.
A part of him was perfectly content to let Rose keep dancing with him, but they were in the middle of a duel and he couldn't leave her like that! He raised his wand to remove the cheering charm, but it suddenly flew out of his hand. How had that happened?! His head whipped around, and he saw Kay standing behind him. Touche, Kay, he thought. But now what was he going to do? Rose was still under the effects of his cheering charm, and without his wand he had no way to remove it or defend himself from his opponents' spells flying at him!

Rosalyn could not understand why they didn't want to sing and dance with her, but she was way to happy to care much about it. Instead, she shrugged it off and continued to do her own little thing, dancing around the arena and belting out songs from musicals that she had seen when she was younger. This was so much fun and Gaston and Kaysha had no idea what they were missing out on.
Suddenly the wand flew out of her hand. "Now that's strange," she said without giving the matter another moment of thought. Instead, she took hold of Kay's hands in her own and started dancing with the other woman. This was much better.

Gaston’s wand flew out of his hand and Kay quickly swung her empty hand to catch it. The same happened to Rose’s and Kay was able to catch that too. She stared at the wands in disbelief. She had actually gotten them! Her plan worked! It probably helped a lot that Rose was distracting Gaston. Speaking of Rose, the other woman had suddenly grabbed her hand.
Kay laughed. “You may have this dance, Rose.’’ She cast an amused glance at Gaston. He didn’t mind, right? Just besties dancing here. That’s right! Kay was dancing with Rose!

Hirsch stared at his colleagues, particularly Gaston and Rosalyn. Pairing couples up was never a good idea but surely, surely, they knew to keep that out of the duelling arena? He didn't need to see it and neither did Kaysha, he bet. There was a time and a place, after all, and this certainly wasn't it.
It seemed as though Gaston hadn't received that memo because at the next moment, he was already producing flowers for his 'beloved'.
And Hirsch? Hirsch physically facepalmed.
When he looked up again, it was to the sound of some singing from Rosalyn and laughing from Gaston. But Kaysha had pulled the best trick out of the bag, making Hirsch go from confused to impressed. Throwing them off and then taking their wands away from them? He had to hand it to her, that was a good move, right there.
And because of that move, the duel was now over.
