The Seating Area Outside Professor Stewart's Office
It is quite possible when you arrive to visit Professor Stewart, she may already have a visitor. As such, you will need to wait until she is free once more. So why not take a seat? There are a variety of chairs to choose from! There are bean bags in the corner along with a few squashy armchairs. In the center is a table laden with an assortment of books inclusive of comics, children books and magazines on the latest happenings in the Muggle world.
The floor is covered in a beautiful carpet and placed around the room are a few plants. There is also another table and on it rests various muggle items: children’s toys and playing cards and an assortment of other things. Why not tinker around?
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
There were a lot more places Mason had not yet discovered and since this was his second year at Hogwarts and he had no O.W.L studies to worry about, he had decided to explore in his free time. He knew that this was the muggle studies floor and as he entered an seating area something popped in to his mind. Or more like a face.
Hadley's face appeared in his mind. He blinked a few times before shaking his head. Now he remembered what he had wanted to do during summer! He had completely forgotten about it. The sixteen year old looked around at the various postered plastered on the walls but he did not actually see them. He could go to the library to find out...but he was here already and who else could help him out about muggle related things better than Professor Stewart herself? He had already asked Hadley not to explain eventhough she was muggle born because he wanted to learn it by himself during the summer but now it was just ...ugh effort. Curious effort.
He had decided and so marched towards the Professor's office door and knocked, hoping she was inside.

Kay was finishing up planning for her lessons a few weeks in advance. She had already gotten her ideas since over the summer and had done planning for the lessons that were to be held during the first few weeks of the school year. She snapped her the book she used as a planner shut and tucked it away neatly into the draw of her desk. Now, what would she do?
"Message dad of course,'' she thought.
Definitely! An email to him so that she could tell him all about Cami's adjustment to the castle once more. Cami was his niece, after all so he'd be interested in her well being. Just then came a knock on the door. A visitor! Excellent!
"Come in!'' Kay called in her usual friendly tone of voice.
Finally making his way to his last stop, Oliver made his way into the waiting area for Professor Stewart's office and was kind of in awe at all of the stuff she had there for the students. Why weren't all offices decorated this way? He went up to a few of the posters and got a good look at them, recognizing a few celebrities he had actually heard of, surprisingly enough.
Once his awe subsided, he knocked on the door to the professor's office and then took a seat in a bean bag chair. Now he would just have to worry about how in the world he would get up from this thing.

Kay was certainly hungry right about then. She had gotten herself a cold cup of apple juice and a brownie. While she enjoyed her snack, she was scrolling through her E-book collection. She was fond downloading books though she felt that nothing beat the feeling of having a hard copy of one in her hands. She had finished reading all of the books on her laptop so far and was wondering what genre she should go for next.
That’s when the knock came at her door. Another visitor! Who could it be? The woman set her cup of juice down. “Come on in!’’ she called cheerfully. Perhaps a break from her books would help her decide what type she should download next.
So the Muggle Studies office was clearly the coolest one in the school. That was the first thing that crossed Ambrose's mind as he glanced around the room, recognising everything in the room immediately. For the first time since he had arrived at Hogwarts, everything seemed very familiar.
Heading up to the door, he knocked carefully, before heading back, grabbing one of the Flash comics and dropping himself back down onto a beanbag. This seemed like a pretty good way to wait at least!

Totally engrossed in the comic, Ambrose had NOT heard Professor Stewart approach him, flinching in surprise as he was addressed by her. That was quickly replaced by the first year Hufflepuff beaming at the woman in question as soon as he realised it was her and also the cookies she was offering.
"Yes please, thanks Professor Stewart," cookies had just automatically made her best professor... or perhaps tied with Professor Myers, considering his head of house had made them waffles.... pushing the thought aside he'd pushed himself out of the bean bag and grabbed one of the cookies. He nibbled at it, mainly as a tactic of making it last longer.
'Social conventions,' a thought rang through his mind, undoubtedly belonging to his twin sister. "How are you today, Professor?" There. Social conventions fulfilled. Now he could move on to what had actually brought him to this office in the first place.
"I... well I just had a few questions about muggle studies actually," the young muggleborn admitted, as he'd glanced at the professor in question.

Kay was really sorry she had to disturb Ambrose but she really wanted to know if he was into comics. Luckily she had put an array of books around. She was learning about what her students liked which was good. She smiled. “Here you go. There are more where those came from. I’ve also got some juice here if you’d like any.’’ Juice was all she had left and this reminded Kay that she needed to visit the Kitchens to replenish her stash.
“Oh, I’m quite well, thank you for asking, Mr Li. What about yourself? Are you a big fan of comics or just The Flash?’’ Questions? Kay was only too happy to help in answering those! “Go ahead. I’ll answer as best as I can.’’ She sipped her juice, waiting for the first question to come her way.
It was Friday evening after all the classes were over, and Kitty had decided to stop by Kay's office for a visit. Originally she was going to wait until Saturday but while she was on patrol she just kept thinking about what she would tell her when they met, and on the spur of the moment decided to visit early.
Diverting herself from her patrol (it was a rather peaceful day and unlikely anything would happen), she made her way to the waiting room for Professor Stewart. She was actually quite glad for this waiting period, as Professor Stewart had so many fascinating things to read and posters to admire. All were Muggle-related, of course. There was a Green Day poster just like the one she had hanging in her bedroom (having become a fan over the summer) and also a Panic at the Disco poster showing former and current members that was rather cool. There was a very stylish purple rug on the floor with an interesting symbol on it that she hadn't quite been to figure out what it was.
While she waited, she picked up the latest Time magazine and began to read.

Kay was in a hugger-mugger state of mind. She was certain that she had tucked that birthday card she had gotten for her dad in one of her draws. Unfortunately she just couldn't find it at that moment and it was driving her insane. She tumbled through her belongings in each of the draws, checked her waste paper basket and on her vast bookshelf but to no avail.
"Where did I put it?'' she muttered, brows furrowed. Blue eyes scanned her office until they fixed on her laptop. That's right! Shh had placed it between the laptop as she had been in a bit of a hurry earlier. She raised the top half of it and retrieved the card. Since she had already written in it, she reasoned she would owl it off now.
Kay made her way to the door, opened it and who was the first person she saw?
"Ms Valentine! I apologise if you knocked and I didn't hear.'' Kay had been so engrossed in her search that she must have missed the knock. "Why don't you come on in?''

Another courtesy call..
Rooney pinned a whole lot of notes around Professor Stewart's office door and began to knock. "HEY PROFESSOR IT'S ROONEY BRONWYN AND YOU NEED TO GET TO THE SIXTH FLOOR RIGHT NOW PLEASE PLEASE SOMETHING BAD IS HAPPENNIIIIINNGGG! MY CAT KNEW IT AND RAN AWAY!" Now that he had time to think about it... Rooney was positive that Pomegranate had ran away to hide and he should have followed and left this darn school to rot or whatever was going to happen.
