Wearing the biggest grin, Noah Diggory pushed open the large oak doors and tugged his trunk inside, both of his turtle companions in their cage 'safely' on top. Grey eyes wandered the abandoned entrance as he paused, taking it all in for a second or two. He was finally back. For a while there, despite his dad's persistent optimism, the boy had been worried. It was already October, after all. But he was back.

....And he had no idea where everyone was, or what class he was currently missing. Should he go check in with someone, or maybe attempt to get settled and caught up on the pile of homework he'd surely have?

Skylar had been checking the entrance hall and bracing the steps to the ravenclaw common room for weeks now, hoping Noah would be back by now. It hadn't been that serious an injury was it?? Every day further from September 1st though, had the third year growing increasingly worried.

Half expecting to not see anyone as she'd grown accustomed to, the third year's eyes grew wide with excitement as she saw the familiar sillouette that was her big brother. Without a word, she ran forward and reached up to wrap her arms around him. "Noah! I've been so worried! Why has no one wrote me updates on your status?" important questions she'd been wondering over for four weeks.

Noah was seconds away from heading up the stairs, towards the seventh floor and Ravenclaw tower when he saw her, running straight for him. If possible, he grinned even more, opening his arms wide for her to crash into him and hug her tight. "Hey, Sky." He chuckled, "Slow down. Breathe, yeah?"

They hadn't updated her? That was news to him. The fifth year offered a casual little shrug, "Mum and dad probably didn't want to worry you, s'all. M'fine. See?" He pulled away just a bit, and would have done a little turn just to humor her, but didn't.

She'd definitely caught him off guard and she was grateful for that too, because catching him when he walked into the castle was worlds easier than climbing all those stairs to his common room. She definitely had zero envy for gryffindors and ravenclaws, except for the view, but she got a nice view of the black lake. "Never," Sky laughed at his comment about breathing.

Didn't want to worry her? WAS HE FOR REAL? "Yes, yes, but i was worried by NOT hearing from you or anyone. I just... I'm ... I'm sorry," because she hadn't actually said that yet, her lip quivered slightly at those words. "I think Noelle has been taking excellent notes. She's rather focused on her studies this year." Probably between Prefect and dating a Ravenclaw may have helped with that, if Sky had to guess.

Look, it had been Christmas break, and the students had not been plentiful. Peeves was bored. With the prospect of all those studentsies coming back, though, he was prepared. He was ready.

Currently invisible, he had fireworks hidden in opportune spots so when any students walked in or out, he'd set them off. Scare, maim, whatever. What was the difference? Peeves didn't care. The Baron wasn't around to tell him either!

SO HEHE KIDDOS.

For once in his undead life, he was quiet. He was waiting for victims.

Nat really couldn't say she had a great break and after the note, she left Joe on the table her mind was distracted. She was glad to be back, though. She wanted to get back into the swing of the routine, get studying for NEWTs, and just start feeling normal again. She was nervous to get her letter from WADA to see if she was accepted or not, though she was now thinking a year off would be best.


She headed into the Entrance Hall and without paying much attention had tripped over her own two feet. Her bag falling to the floor the contents scatter. "Just what I need." The head girl bent down and began to pick up everything and put it back in her bag.

Like Peeves, Storm was bored as well. No boys and girlies to pick on? It wasn't fair! He wanted to do MORE pranks! BETTER pranks!

It was then that he zooooooomed into the Entrance Hall, holding a bucket of slimy creatures. Slugs, worms, insects............. he had them ALL. Some even still had mud all over them! The boys and girlies were going to get a GOOD welcome back gift!

Here was one now! HAHAHAHAHA!

Cackling, Storm zoomed until he was floating above the girlie (Nat) and then DUMPED THE INSECTS OVER HER HEAD. And if anyone else was nearby, they'd get some of the slimy insects as well.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Collecting her things, Nat placed them all back in her bag. She was just checking the ground to make sure nothing had rolled further than she had seen. Still kneeling she looked into her bag just to check and make sure all her items were there.

As she was about to stand she heard him before she saw him and wasn't able to take cover quick enough. Her wand was out, but to late to save her hair. "What the.. OH MY GOD!!!! MY HAIR!!" Jumping to her feet the head girl screamed feeling the slimy mudding things now crawling in her hair. "YOU RIDICULOUS POLTERGISE!!" Why hadn't they been band from the castle yet. This was ridiculous.


"You'll pay for this!" She had to get these bugs out of her hair though first.

Cackle

Peeves held his hands over his mouth so that the head girl wouldn't hear his cackling, but here was his chance! He got ready to light one of the fireworks and hum it at her when...

THAT. LITTLE. BRAT.

Bugs! It was raining BUGS and a lot of the mud had gotten all over his fireworks and now were they any good!? NO!

Peeves appeared, removing his invisibility, and zoomed right up to the child poltergeist. "OH YOU LITTLE BRAT-I AM SICK OF YOU! YOU'VE RUINED MY PRANK!!!!!!!" he yelled. He then swooped down on the headgirl, grabbed seem of the bugs from her hair, and PELTED them at Storm.

Peeves had quite the colorful vocabulary, too.

HAHAHAHAHA! This was CLASSIC! Look at the Head Girlie screaming! "Oh yeah?" he sneered, "You and what army?"

Storm was still cackling until he saw his polter!dad come up to meet him. Storm thought that the other poltergeist would be happy to see him and he thought he'd even get a spirited pat on his back for his polterkid back but it seemed as though the polter!dad had other plans.

Pout.

"Hey hey HEY!" What was wrong with him?! Why was he throwing slimy creatures AT HIM?! Shouldn't he be PROUD?! Polter!mommy would have been.

"THERE'S NO NEED TO BE SUCH A MEAN OLD GRUMP!" he shouted back, dodging this way and that way to avoid being hit by the slimy creatures. "YOU'RE JUST JEAAAAALOUS THAT I PULL BETTER PRANKS THAN YOU COULD EVER DO!"

Here came a large raspberry blown straight at the sour poltergeist right over there.

Nat jumped a foot when Peeves bellowed. "Honest to Merlin would you shut up." They didn't need him screaming at Storm or their bugs. Go away Peeves and Storm. She was going to gather her things and had to the prefect bathroom to get these bugs out.

How gross!

"I think you are both two no good ghost wannabes. You need to stop acting like two-year-olds and leave the students alone." She was running on a tight schedule as it was and now she had to deal with this. She was out of there, no babysitting jobs for her and she was so okay with that.

Pausing in her rushed movements to think for a moment and then she shrugged, "Don't follow me." Nott that they would, but Nataia wanted to make sure.

Peeves was sufficiently irritated. He blew a BIIGGGGGER raspberry back at Storm and swooped over the child!polter. He pelted the last few bugs at him, and took off.

Grumpling.

Moaning.

He'd go bother Myrtle. That would make him feel better.
