Azura walked into the classroom and was about to wave to the Professor only to find that there was no Professor there.. only a raccoon. Huh..

Odds were that was their Professor but then again that could be anything and she didn't want to look weird by saying hello to a raccoon. So instead she waved to it and gave it a smile before moving to find where her name was..

Ahh there she was, on the left.

She sat down in her assigned seat and took out her textbook and her writing utensils before looking back at the Racoon..

"Hi.." She whispered to it. Cause if that WAS their Professor she didn't want to be rude.

Tenacius strides into class, glancing casually at the chalk board and the creature by it. And for some reason, he thought the raccoon was the Professor's pet. Because Head Honcho man Newton and Marie Curie. So yes he pets the raccoon as he passed the teacher's table "Hey cutie, where's yer fur mama?" and he chuckles as he turns to grab a seat.

And plops himself down next to "Az w'zup?" he asks casually with his usual cheerfully charming grin. He toyed with the name card before he realized-- this wasn’t his name. It’s the ol fart bag that he roomed with at the dorms. "Whoops, not my seat sorreh." he stood sadly as he gave a quick wave for the purple-eyed girl. "Be careful with this guy he can drop some pretty deadly silencers." he joked before searching for that Tenacius desk.

The first thing Brooklyn noticed upon entry into the Transfiguration classroom was the setup. Another lesson where they were seated in a half circle, as if she was supposed to share with everyone else. She knew she was fairly good at Transfiguration. Part of her Halloween costume proved that, and even then, she had to keep the spirit of her favorite professor alive. Professor Bellaire might not be there, but she still was going to make her proud. “Good day, Professor Riveroll,” she said, giving the raccoon a half-nod and a smile as she passed by. That wasn’t about to fool her either. It wasn’t the first Animagus professor she’d had, nor the only one at Hogwarts right now.

Making her way to the desks, she scanned the name cards until she found one with her name on it. Taking a seat, she merely gave the cards at the seats on either side of her a brief glance. She would deal with whatever was thrown at her. She just hoped that she wasn’t going to have to deal with certain first years again.

Silas entered the classroom and noticed a raccoon on the desk. Aww...how cute! He gave it a happy wave and a smile. Yes, he had a feeling the raccoon could be the professor herself and resisted the urge to pet the cute furry creature. She might bite, who knows. Anyway, he was in a great mood today so it wouldn't be a surprise to him if he was wrong either. Silas walked over to the desks and search for his name tag on it. Once found, he took a seat and wondered who he would be sitting next to this time.

Entering the classroom Hady wasn't at all bothered by the way it was setup. A semi circle. It could've been worse really not that she could think of a seating arrangement that would particularly bother her right now but that wasn't even the point. Besides she was here to learn something, not worry about who would be sat near her. In the very back of her mind though she may have been hoping that it was Frankie just as it normally was...at least that was the thought until her eyes found the message on the board. Well alright then. Assigned seating today. No biggy really.

During the simple task of finding the desk with her name tag on it the seventh year passed by the professors desk. "Hello Professor," she greeted with a small nod of her head. Being as raccoon's weren't a common thing here at this school it was a pretty safe bet that this one was there professor. As she was sure the professor already knew that Franklin and herself was both able to change into animal forms as well. Not that she had told her or really told all that many people but it wasn't at all a secret either.

Azura, Tenacius and Brooklyn all got a nod in greeting as she made her way around the semi circle. A few desks towards the end was the card with her name on it. Finally. Hadleigh slipped down into her seat and took out all the needed materials for the days lesson laying them out neatly on her desk.

He did like most creatures and it really didn't strike him as odd that it was sitting there like it was about to teach class. Not much surprised him about Hogwarts anymore and for all he knew, the raccoon was probably the professor's animagus form. It seemed like a transfiguration person's thing to do, become an animagus. So as he walked by, he shot the animal a grin. "Hello." And even if it wasn't the professor, he'd probably still say hello to animal present in a classroom.

Turning to take a seat, he noticed a couple of his friends already there. "Hi, Azura.. hey, Ace!" Maybe he should sit next to one of them. And there was the new transfer and housemate, Silas too, and he got a wave. But as he was trying to decide who to sit by, he noticed the names at each of the desks. "Oh.. assigned seats." Bummer. Hopefully he'd get to sit by one of his friends, or maybe he'd make a new friend that way. And he started walking through the semi-circle of seats, looking for his name.

HOW was Scarlett supposed to focus on classes when her father might or might not become the next Minister of Magic in the next few days?? Ugh. The stress of being a child of a candidate was exhausting, she could hardly imagine how her father was doing it!

Still, classes went on whether she wanted them to or not - and it was time for Transfiguration, one of her FAVORITES. Smiling and expecting to greet the professor, she found her desk empty, except - there was a raccoon there. Huh. Was she an animagus? She wasn't sure but she waved at the raccoon just in case - didn't want to be rude if it WAS the new professor in disguise.

Skipping over to her assigned seat, she plopped down and looked at the boy she was sitting next to. She recognized him from her house, but had never actually TALKED to him. She didn't think she even knew his name, so she grinned at him and said cheerfully, "Hi! I'm Scarlett!"

Time for another lesson, sighing the first year entered the classroom, her mouth already open to greet the professor while realizing that the professor wasn't in the classroom. She saw a animal sitting but she didn't felt the urge to go to the animal.

Looking around her she made a face, she couldn't decide for herself where to sit because the professor apparently already had made the arrangements. Walking over to the table with her name on it she sat down and grabbed her textbook.

Owen liked Transfiguration. It was cool and they usually got to deal with visual things. Extra cool. Plus, he heard their Professor was an animagus. Who knew, she might be handing out pointers on how to be one too.

Speaking of which, the 4th year Hufflepuff shuffled into the classroom and saw a raccoon on the Professor's desk instead of the woman herself. HOLY...Was that her? In her animagus form? Or was that just her pet? Owen couldn't tell so he chose to mumble a, "Hello," at it. That greeting was good enough for both a pet AND Professor, right?

With one last curious glance at the animal in question, Owen turned to look around for his friends. He saw Henry and was on his way over when he spied his name on a card next to...um, someone he didn't know. They had assigned seats? Aw, bummer. But still fine. He was always willing to make new friends anyway. So he placed his things on his desk, sat down and extended his hand to the older girl next to him."Hi...seatmate." Grin.

Oh boy. Here we go.

Dragging her feet a bit as she stepped into the classroom, Paige continued the silent pep talk she had been administering to herself ever since leaving the common room. Not her worst subject, but it was pretty low on the list and had just barely scrapped by with passing marks on her OWL. With only a handful of spells to her transfiguration arsenal that she felt she had any real control over - someone just talk to Hugo about that - the Hufflepuff felt like she needed to come with a disclaimer. Maybe she should just add one to her name card...which she found in a desk somewhere right smack in the middle of the semi circle of desks. Sweet Merlin why couldn't she have been assigned a window seat like Henry? She would gladly trade with him.

Biting her lip and offering the raccoon a polite nod of the head - yes, hello professor - she slid into her seat and tried to get herself situated for class to begin.

Okay, so.... With it being Transfiguration, Olivia was NOT at ALL confident about how this lesson would go for her. In the past, she'd only managed passable grades in the subject, due mostly to how ineffective a good portion of her transfiguration magic was... BUT... THERE WAS A BUT...

She really wanted to achieve something in class today.

So hard.

Didn't matter what it was, she just needed a little nugget of success to keep her going with it. SO, HERE SHE WAS. She'd shown up despite the disasters and icky emotions surrounding all this Transfiguration business. TODAY, she would accomplish something, at least. Anything would do. Goals. She had them.

Finding her name, the blonde made to sit but then noticed the raccoon on the desk. Huh. Were they being taught by an animal today, then? Let's be honest, stranger things had happened here at Hogwarts.

Kimi entered the transfiguration classroom and saw that the professor wasn't around Kimi made his way to where his assigned seat was and took a seat and wondered what they would be learning today

Transfiguration…one of subjects that most caught her fancy.

And she looked forward to today’s lesson just as she had the others. Cassie stepped into the room and took in the semicircle of desks that faced the one belonging to the professor. A woman that wasn’t there in the classroom herself. Or maybe she was. There was a raccoon sitting on the desk and the Ravenclaw wasn’t exactly unused to being around an animangus. After all, her very father was one…a great dane. So an animangus professor, especially a transfiguration one, seemed to make perfect sense.

“Hello Professor,” she greeted, hoping she was right, as she moved to find her seat among the desks. Not her…not her…not her…BINGO. Cass took her seat and readied herself for the lesson, taking in who else was there so far. “Hey…” she said to Olivia as she noticed her Gryffindor partner.

Natalia walked into Transfiguration pretty distracted. Her mind in another place she walked into class not paying much attention so when she turned her eyes and they focused on a Raccoon Nat jumped a bit away. "What the... oh, hi... sorry." If it was the professor she didn't want to be rude. The birthday girl must have needed more sleep, thanks Tim for keeping her up to late the night before celebrating her friends birthday.


So instead of just staring Nat turned and looked at the tables about to sit near Hady when she noticed the name tags. Assigned seats what were they five?

Turning she looked through the sea of names until she found hers and plopped down next to a younger student. "Hey" She gave the puff a small smile. She didn't know the boy but had seen him around a bit.
"Seems like we are being taught by a raccoon today." Captain obvious in the comments today she turned and grabbed her parchment and text book to get ready for class.

Junia swayed to the classical music as she entered the classroom, eyebrows raising slightly when she spotted the raccoon. If she could turn into an animal, she'd want to be something like a swan. Or maybe a hummingbird. Or maybe a snow leopard! Oh yes, those were beautiful. She was already to her seat when she decided that snow leopards were just the right animal for her.

After organizing her materials neatly on her workspace, her gaze fell on the raccoon once more and she smiled. Maybe raccoons weren't beautiful but they sure were cute.

There was a skip in Hadley's step as she entered the classroom. For one thing, she loved Transfiguration. It, as well as Charms, was her favorite class. For another, she had a blank slate with the Professor, and a maybe that might, soon, lead to animagus training.

Hadley Denaker entered the class planning to wow Professor Riveroll, and she had no doubt that was what she'd do. "Good morning, Prof-- Oh." There was no Professor, just a raccoon. Unless...Raccoons weren't native to Britain were they? She didn't think so. And being non-native, it'd be near impossible to be permitted to have one as a pet, lest they escape and become an invasive species. That meant...Hadley smiled. "Good morning Professor," she told the Raccoon. She could be wrong, and if she was, only she and the Raccoon would know.

There was only one downside to this class: assigned seating. Why couldn't she sit next to Ace? Grumbling Hadley turned and made her way down row after row looking for her seat.

This was unique in that the new transfiguration professor was ASSIGNING them seats. Skylar found in her over twelve months that she'd been at Hogwarts, no professor seemed to like assigning seats and it was kind of strange but she supposed there must be a reason for it.

About to greet the professor, Sky stopped short when noticing there was a raccoon there and not the new professor. Well that was .... Not different, considering this was transfiguration class. Made Sky wonder if perhaps they would be learning about familiars or animagi; perhaps they could get a club started for students who would want to learn to be one? And made her also wonder what her animagi would be.... Something cute but fierce, perhaps.

Her mind was wondering as she searched for her name and finally found it in the last row ... Next to a name she recalled vaguely and Sky glanced up to see the Ravenclaw she remembered from the pitch last term looking for her seat, "You're back here with me, Hadley" Sky said, settling into her seat and frowning at how far away she was.

Usually when Olly walked into class he expected to see a professor. But sometimes they weren't there and he didn't always care. He was getting used to things being out of the ordinary. Like when he walked into Transfiguration and there was no professor, but instead a raccoon. That was a bit strange but whatever. This was Hogwarts. What wasn't strange? If Olly had to stop to think about anything a bit weird he would never have time to do anything else. So he just shrugged and went to sit down.

It took him a bit to find his name tag. He didn't like to have to work so hard to find his seat. But eventually he did find the right place. It was right in front of a Gryffindor he recognized. Hi Liv. But there was no one on either side of him yet. He reached into his bag and took out his textbook, which he set on his desk. He did have a quill and some parchment but was he going to take notes? Hah.

Jace didn’t do dancing…or swaying at the very least, so to see someone before him doing that amused the thirteen year old. The classical music was appreciated since it helped calm his mind before feeding it with new Transfiguration information.

Inclining his head towards the raccoon, Jace then looked for his seat…and was quite surprised to be assigned next to the swaying Slytherin from a while ago. He’d seen her from the Entrance Hall a few days back with Matt, so she wasn’t totally a stranger. As he claimed his seat, the Ravenclaw got his textbook and writing implements out, and gave his seatmate a polite wave of the hand. “Hi.” He said in a quiet, rushed tone and turned his attention somewhere else.

Where is Matt’s desk, by the way?

Sure, Henry had his textbook out and sitting on his desk, but did that mean he was reading it or studying it before class started. Uhh, no. There were far more interesting things to do, like watch other people come in, or look out the window, or write Azura a note and send it to her in a poorly folded paper crane. All of which Henry had been doing since he sat down, besides the last one. And he would have done that too if he wasn't completely sure if the raccoon was their professor or not and might have gotten him in trouble.

Owen got a wave as he came in, though Henry's face fell slightly as the other boy started towards him, then soon veered off into another direction. Yep, assigned seats. His was apparently somewhere else and he gave him a shrug and small smile. But he did catch sight of who'd be sitting next to him as she slid into her seat next. Henry knew her as a Hufflepuff that he was pretty sure was one of Kat's roommates. She got a grin as she turned to him and introduced herself. "Hi! ....I'm Henry.." He added the last part as almost an afterthought, just in case she didn't know his name. But he sort of figured his housemates at least knew who he was.

Juno walked silently into the classroom, with a little bit of a smirk on her face. She wasn't sure why she was feeling smirkish but she was. Noticing the raccoon at the desk instead of their Professor, realizing that it must be the professor, Juno waved, replying, "Hello, Professor." She then headed over to the semi circle. They had assigned seating in this class, so she found the desk with her name on it and sat down.

Juno pulled out everything she knew she would possibly need for this lesson, setting them in an organized manner on her desk. Hopefully this would be a fun lesson.

Tranfigation....

Peeking into the classroom as she made her way into the room. No professor just a raccoon and music. Twirling in class was allowed, Totally, If there was music dancing should always be allowed.

Hmmm. She smiled and twirled off to find her seat, She couldn't stay still from twirling around long enough to seriously look for her seat so it took her a bit longer to find her seat than it should have so. Once she took her sit she realized that she didn't have a neighbor yet she needed person.

Transfiguration.

It was an interesting class, one of the more useful ones and one that Jasper Quinn did enjoy a lot... but he was still nervous going into it. He wasn't the best at casting spells, and transfiguration classes always reminded him of how... bad he was compared to other people.

But he wasn't the worst.

From memory at least.

Trying to smile as he calmed himself down he wandered in, looking at the Professor before pausing. "Hello Professor," he greeted softly, shyly looking down and running scratching the back of his neck as the green eyes scanned over the room looking for his name. His eyes briefly fell on Azura, and he gave a soft smile and a wave, frowning as he noticed that he was on the other side of the room from her.

Maybe they'd be closer together in another class....

He quickly sat himself next to a Hufflepuff girl he recognised as being in the same year as him. Jasper didn't remember her name though, and quickly glanced at her name before he looked at her again. "Hi... Katerina?" that definitely came out as more of a question than a sure statement. Jasper flushed a little bit.

Being more confident this year wasn't as easy as he had planned it to be.

Felicity looked up at the boy who had touched her. Seriously, how many people saw a non-native animal that was not common as a pet and was sitting on a professor’s desk, in transfiguration no less, and assumed it was a pet? If students weren’t going to recognize her as an animagus professor, they should at least have enough common sense not to go around touching random animals. Not that she terribly minded people petting her, but she didn’t want this to be a frequent occurrence. It wouldn’t do to heave students going around petting professors.

Ah, here was one who knew how to greet the professor. Quite good at transfiguration from what Felicity had observed so far. Felicity nodded back at Brooklyn as Brooklyn continued on her way to her desk.

No, Felicity wasn’t the sort of person who would bite students. She lifted a paw in a sort of raccoon wave to greet the boy who had waved to her.

Felicity flicked her raccoon tail in acknowledgement of the Head Girl’s greeting. She was aware of the head girl’s animagus ability, and had a feeling that the Head Girl would be interested in the lesson today.

Simply watching the girl who hadn’t so much as bothered to say hello, Felicity noted that many of the students didn’t seem pleased with the seating arrangements. Perhaps she would switch things up a bit later in the term.

Nodding her head in return, Felicity greeted the girl who appeared worried. Hopefully the lip biting wasn’t any indication of potential disaster.

Finding her name, the blonde made to sit but then noticed the raccoon on the desk. Huh. Were they being taught by an animal today, then? Let's be honest, stranger things had happened here at Hogwarts.

Taught by an animal? No. Taught by an animagus? Yes. There was a difference, one which may be discussed later. Felicity flicked her tail in greeting at the girl.

And she looked forward to today’s lesson just as she had the others. Cassie stepped into the room and took in the semicircle of desks that faced the one belonging to the professor. Nodding hello, Felicity lokked up at the girl who had greeted her. This one had also been able to figure out that the raccoon was indeed the professor.

Turning she looked through the sea of names until she found hers and plopped down next to a younger student. "Hey" She gave the puff a small smile. She didn't know the boy but had seen him around a bit.
"Seems like we are being taught by a raccoon today." Captain obvious in the comments today she turned and grabbed her parchment and text book to get ready for class.

The next girl to arrive seemed somewhat startled by Felicity sitting on the desk in raccoon form. After all, it wasn’t every day that there was a raccoon sitting at the front of a classroom. Felicity flicked her tail at the girl as a greeting.

There was only one downside to this class: assigned seating. Why couldn't she sit next to Ace? Grumbling Hadley turned and made her way down row after row looking for her seat.

Here was Miss Hadley Denaker, the one who was interested in animagus training. Hadley would probably like this lesson. Felicity raised a front foot in response to Hadley’s greeting. She would be watching this one.

About to greet the professor, Sky stopped short when noticing there was a raccoon there and not the new professor. Well that was .... Not different, considering this was transfiguration class. Made Sky wonder if perhaps they would be learning about familiars or animagi; perhaps they could get a club started for students who would want to learn to be one? And made her also wonder what her animagi would be.... Something cute but fierce, perhaps.

Her mind was wondering as she searched for her name and finally found it in the last row ... Next to a name she recalled vaguely and Sky glanced up to see the Ravenclaw she remembered from the pitch last term looking for her seat, "You're back here with me, Hadley" Sky said, settling into her seat and frowning at how far away she was.

The assigned seats were more for the purpose of encouraging students to sit with new people and to help Felicity remember the students names than anything else. Felicity nodded as the girl passed by the professors desk.

Inclining his head towards the raccoon, Jace then looked for his seat…and was quite surprised to be assigned next to the swaying Slytherin from a while ago. He’d seen her from the Entrance Hall a few days back with Matt, so she wasn’t totally a stranger. Henry knew her as a Hufflepuff that he was pretty sure was one of Kat's roommates. She got a grin as she turned to him and introduced herself. "Hi! ....I'm Henry.." He added the last part as almost an afterthought, just in case she didn't know his name. But he sort of figured his housemates at least knew who he was.

Yes, the raccoon was the professor. Felicity nodded to greet the boy as he entered the classroom.

Hmmm. She smiled and twirled off to find her seat, She couldn't stay still from twirling around long enough to seriously look for her seat so it took her a bit longer to find her seat than it should have so. Once she took her sit she realized that she didn't have a neighbor yet she needed person.

The girl was mistaken if she thought that there was no professor present in the room. Nodding at the twirling girl, Felicity checked the clock again and decided that she should start the lesson now.

It was time for class to start. Felicity leaped off of her desk, transforming back into a human as she jumped. Now Felicity was standing before the class, ready to begin the lesson. ”Good morning. As I am sure you are aware of by now, I am an animagus. Today we’ll start with a class discussion. What do you know about animagi, and what sets them apart from other forms of human transfiguration? How can an animagus be distinguished from ordinary animals?” Looking at you, Miss Lynch. The head girl should be an expert on this topic. Felicity was well aware of Hadleigh’s status as an animagus, and fully expected to hear from her. The professor also glanced at Hadley Denaker, expecting to hear from her as well.
