It wasn't everyday Justin got to exploring the full castle. So many little secrets, many already uncovered from his glory student days and many.. new secrets appearing. Those could wait another day though as he decided to stop by the Fun Room by Kay's area. His dad's side would be pleased by the sight of goodies in here.

The grounds were alright and he had plenty of time to spare so he went to try out one of the arcade machines. Wow. He only heard about these old things from his late dad as a kid and barely remembered actually seeing one. Turning it on it looked like a fighting game, with the copyright dates at the bottom noting it from the late last century. Vintage. So with that, he started fiddling the stick and pounding away at the buttons after picking his character.

Opening a door to a room close beside the Muggle study classroom she smiled while stepping away so that Harvey could have a look inside. “I’ve found this room accidently a few weeks ago while I eh… Was investigating this part of the castle” she said innocently, not mentioning that she actually was searching for the professor’s office so that she could play a prank someday. No, that she decided would be a talk for another time BUT, that didn’t mattered now, the fun room was here and free for students to be used! Leesha herself had played a few times here or just watched the television, she secretly was missing some of the muggle shows she always had followed like ‘Say yes to the dress’ or programs like ‘My Cat From Hell.’ Haha, she liked to watch those programs and she had done it a few times here in the fun room. But, she also had played a few games too when she wanted to because why not? The only sad thing was that almost nobody really visited this place, Leesha never had really met any kids while being here, what was strange of course!

“Well, welcome to the fun room” smiled Leesha while showing Harvey the room. “This room is filled with really a lot Muggle things, computers to play with, music, a television and more! This is all very common in a Muggle household and I’ve grown up with all of this” making a waving movement with her arms around the room she smiled. “Things like this I’ve missed while being here at Hogwarts” confessed Leesha while looking at some of the things she had needed to leave behind at home.

Harvey looked over Leesha's shoulder as she moved to let him see. His mouth dropped open. This was... incredible!!

"Wow!" was all he could managed as he stepped inside. "There's so much stuff! My Grandad and I fiddled with a radio last summer, but I've never seen this much tech... technology," he struggled slightly with the word.

"My Cat from Hell?" he looked at her, wondering if she was serious. Mugs had shows like that? It was... kind of ridiculous but fascinating at the same time. "You'll have to show me sometime."

He smiled a bit when Leesha mentioned missing home. He sometimes did, too - and he was used to all the wizarding stuff! It must be so much harder for someone for whom this world was so new.

"Well, I'm happy to keep you company every time you're homesick and want to come here. You can teach me how to use some of this stuff," he offered. "So, you're the expert. What should we do?" he asked, eyes wandering everywhere as he wondered what he could possibly begin to explore first.

Looking over her shoulder to see Harvey’s expression Leesha smiled, it was funny and strange at the same time to see somebody respond so excited and curious about things she herself thought were so normal! She had grown up with computers and all the things in this room so it was really strange to realize that witches and wizards weren’t using all the muggle technology, she still found it strange because why not? What was the reason why witches and wizards weren’t using this technology? “So you like it here?” She asked with a smile while closing the door behind them. “A radio? Well, if that’s all what you’ve seen then you will be really surprised to look around here!” She grinned while walking toward a playstation and pushed on the power button.

“Are there games you like? soccer? Army games with guns? Or do you prefer a game to raise you own pet animal?” Asked Leesha laughing, wanting to see Harvey’s reaction to her words. “Soccer is the Muggle version for Quidditch but without brooms and on the ground” informed she her friend, understanding that he probably wouldn’t knew what it was without her explanation. And about the other things, he knew what guns were right? Witches and wizards were not using them because they didn’t needed them but they knew what guns were right? Anyway, she wanted to see his response and wanted to know what he liked to play.

"Oh, and about the comment you made earlier about the television programs I’ve watched, yes, I there is really a program called My cat from hell, but it’s not about a cat from hell, it’s just a program about pets who are behaving really badly, let’s say about REALLY mean cat’s” she liked that program although it was silly.

“Of course you can come with me the next time, I’m almost every day here when I have enough time because of the television” she turned the television on and connected the playstation to the television so that they were ready to play if Harvey had made his choice. “You will learn when you’ve watched the television for the first time that it’s really addicting and fun to do! Really EVERY Muggle has a television, some are even having them in every room in their houses! I once have visited a house where a television was placed in the bathroom” she told her friend but she shook her head, that was even for her too much.

"Quidditch on the ground?" he asked, excited. What with his fear of heights, he had never gotten into Quidditch, but... "Can we try that? Can you show me?" he walked over to where Leesha was connected various... cables, Harvey thought they were called.

"I really don't know why wizards and witches don't use Muggle things. I guess so many think that magic makes them above Muggles they don't even seem interested in Muggle things," he said with a shrug. Which ws a shame, if anyone wanted his opinion.

"A television in the bathroom?" He asked, incredulous! "Wow! That does seem... wow!" he said, practically lost for words.

"Right, why don't we play something and then you can show me what this television craze is about," he suggested, dropping his bag in the corner. Crazy pets seemed... interesting.

“Yes, muggles are running behind a ball and kicking instead of throwing it with their hands” she frowned while thinking about it but she didn’t knew much about the game herself. “I know that it’s a lot like Quidditch but I’m not a expert and I’ve never played it myself but If you’re really interested I can help you search for some information on the computers, it’s like a library with books only stored online, you can find really everything on the computer you’re searching for.” Oh yes, she knew from experience that you were able to find anything on the internet, good and bad things! So there would definitely be a lot information about soccer!

“Of course I can show you but I’m not a expert, I know how to play it but I’m not good at soccer, not even virtually on a computer.” Opening a box where all the games were stored she searched for a game she thought he would like, it was a game she knew that the muggle boys at home had liked to play and they strangely never had tired to talk about it, to her disappointment because she herself wasn’t that interested in what they had liked or not.

“Here, I think that you like this one” she started the game and explained him how to play it before sitting back, she herself wasn’t going to play because it was a boy thing to play soccer and she obviously wasn’t a boy!

Listening to Harvey’s explanation about why he thought that Wizards weren’t using muggle tools while still watching the game to see if he needed help and she shook her head. “I don’t like Muggles and yes I know that I grew up like one but I still don’t like them” she said slowly while thinking how to chose her words carefully. “But the Muggle technology is really good and can only be handy if you know how to use it so I think that it’s sad that much witches and wizards are unaware of it. Being able to use magic is not all that is” she said convinced, thinking about her Christmas toys she had found under the three when she had been seven, those toys had been made with technology and she didn’t had wanted to miss them.

Not able to hold her laughter and his reaction toward her television story she grinned before being able to talk again. “Yes, Muggles really are liking their technology and they are even watching some program’s on their phones, that are devices you can use to talk to each other on a great distance but you can also listen to music on them and watch video’s.”

"So they run around and kick a ball, no hands, and try to score in opposite goals, like in Quidditch?" he repeated, hoping he'd understood right. Leesha set up the game for him, but it didn't seem like she wanted to join in.

"How do you play, exactly? And don't you want to play too? Bet I can beat you on my first try, but if you're scared..." he said, almost sure that such a direct attack on her pride would do the trick.

"Yeah, you're right, there's more to the world than just magic," he agreed.

"Those phones sound pretty useful!" he commented. They really did - and so much more efficient than using owls! Why on earth didn't wizards use those?!

Tenacius has a well earned Geek cred, so naturally he was familiar with arcade games. Suffice it to say, dad raised him well knowing the essentials.

So there he goes, eager to check out the latest cabinets that the school may have added to its repertoire, and he sees the Groundskeeper pounding away on one of them. Naturally the boy wanted to see the other man's skillz, so he stands to the side and watches....

“Yes, that’s it” she nodded, looking impressed that he immediately understood it so the guessed that it really was a boys thing, muggles or wizard were not that different when it was about soccer. “They’re also running over the grass while kicking the ball with their feet and there is only one ball, it’s called a football. And because there aren’t any other balls like a Snitch so the game only ends when the time is up and the team with most points wins. There are also no Bludgers but you can think about the football as a Quaffle but white instead of red” she explained. “Touching the football with your hands is against the rules so you cannot do that unless you’re the keeper. Oh, and in soccer we have a system with cards, a yellow card is a serious warning that you have done something against the rules and a red card is a sign that you need to leave the game, I think” she frowned, she never had paid that much interest in the game to know everything. “You can have two yellow cards before you’re getting a red one” she continued but this time she sounded hesitant.

“Hmm, to be honest, I don’t know how to play this game but for that we have a computer!” She grinned because she enjoyed it to know things others didn’t. Talk about muggle technology and she could talk for hours about it without getting tired. She pushed a button on the computer and the screen flashed to life and with a few quick moves and pushing a few buttons she had found a complete manual for the game with all the information they needed. “And this is a computer and where now using something called the Internet” she grinned, looking at his face to see his reaction.

Eyes widening Leesha almost couldn’t believe her ears, scared? She!? WHAAAAT?! She wasn’t scared! She was never scared to do anything! Sucking in her breath to look taller she eyed the boy with one eyebrow raised. “I. AM. NOT. SCARED” she said offended and grabbed one of the joysticks and sat down next to him again.

Looking intently at the screen because she in reality had no idea if she could do it she heard how he responded to something she had said earlier and she nodded. “I have a phone at home but I’m sure that we can find something about it too in this room although I haven’t seen phones before here.” She mused while looking thoughtfully.

Harvey frowned and nodded along as Leesha explained the game to him. "No hands, just kicking the football, team with most points wins, cards depending on breaking rules... do you now what you get those cards for?" he asked. Then, he shrugged, thinking a that any more information right now wasn't going to help him much, his head was spinning a bit as it was. "Actually, never mind, I'm sure we can figure that out as we go along, I'm not sure I can remember any more theory at the moment!"

He grinned as Leesha decided she would play, after all. He knew it would work! Though he really hoped she wouldn't be offended for too long... Deciding less was more in this case, he sat down next to her without saying anything about the topic any more.

Besides, she had just started up something she called the "Internet"... "Are you sure this isn't magic?"he asked doubtfully as images flickered on the screen seemingly from nowhere. "How does it work? What does it tell you? How do you control it?" he bombarded the Slytherin with question, Ravenclaw curiosity bubbling within him.

"We can have a look for phones later, maybe, and you can show me how they work," he said, his mind already focused on the game ahead, wondering how it would all work.

Was the fun room for house elves too? Pips was hoping it was as he popped into the room and looked around. He was there to clean of course, but if there was some fun the house elf could maybe have he wanted to be curious and try.


Oh but there were students here so no Pips fun would wait he would clean and stay out of the way.

At his question Leesha made a face, she absolutely had no idea how the cards were working so she was happy that he didn’t wanted a answer anymore. Good, good! Because that way she needed to search on the internet for more information. “Hmm, believe me when I say that I know how you’re feeling right now” nodded Leesha because she did, the way Harvey was feeling now so she felt almost every day during the lessons when they were going to learn something new about magic.

“It’s a lot to take in, but it’s alright if it’s too much at first, this room is open during the whole year I think so we can come back whenever we want to!” That was something she liked, coming back here, with company or alone.

Bursting out into a laud laughter she shook her head, still with the joystick in her hands. “No, internet is really muggle made and there is no magic used to make it, for as far as I know” she now only grinned, still thinking that it was funny. “I show you how it’s working when we’re done with the game good? It’s really not that difficult, even little children are playing with it so you can learn it too” she nodded, grinning some more. Had she herself looked so stunned about discovering magic?

“Yes, we can look at the phones too sometime” she nodded and with that she started the game after having looked at the instructions on the computer and started playing while watching Harvey from the corners of her eye to see if she could keep up with the game.

Suddenly dropping the joystick because she heard something she turned around and saw a figure standing in the doorway. A really, really small figure! Pressing the pause button she stood up and pointed at the figure while looking quick at Harvey. “Who is there?” She asked the small figure while trying to look who it was.

The Groundskeeper knew how to play the game after a few tries. The graphics were laughable almost as much as the moon-like jumping. The music was pretty cool. The enemies... were a pain as he continually mashed the buttons. "Get him.. get him.. Get him.. C'mon.." His tongue was poking out against his stache from the concentrating... until the sign of "You Win" displayed. "YEAH!"

Justin didn't even notice the spectator throughout this, until he stopped to flex his wrists. He blinked, a little stunned before his usual grin returned. "Why it's Master Salander. Are you wanting for your turn on this?"

Pips pulled at his huge ears when misses started asking who he was. "It's Pips misses. Pips was coming to clean the fun room, but didn't know misses and misters were here playing and having fun. Pips can come back later. "

As Leesha was talking, she had also finished checking things on the internet thingy (thought Harvey wasn't quite sure what she had learned, he couldn't really keep up with it) and had picked up her joystick and things started happening. There were moving things on the screen in front of them, like in a moving painting.

Except, glancing between Leesha's hands and the screen, this painting could be controlled. By them.

Right, he could totally do it! So, if Leesha moved this way, then those little things moved too, so the other things... aha! they listened to him!

He was just getting really drawn in when Leesha's voice broke through his thoughts. He turned around, too, in time to see a house elf pull on its ears.

"Hi, Pips," Harvey said with a smile (after checking that Leesha wasn't killing him on screen. It had frozen. He guessed this meant pause.) "It's nice to meet you. I don't think you'd be in the way at all, if you want to stay, we sure don't mind," he added.

"You would want Pips to stay here with you?" His big eyes widened at the thought of the students wanting him to stay. "Pips won't be in the way, no Pips will clean and maybe watch the fun."

Harvey smiled at the house elf. "That's fine by us, isn't it, Leesha?" he turned to the Slytherin for confirmation.

He guessed she wouldn't mind (and hoped he wasn't wrong) - he wondered if she'd ever met a house elf before. Perhaps they could both be amazed with how different their worlds were today.

"I'm Harvey, by the way, Pips," Harvey added. "It's really nice to meet you."

Surprised she saw that Harvey seemed to be a fast learner because he was able to keep up with her and a little impressed she eyed the boy sitting next to her. He wasn’t going to win this game wasn’t he?!

After pushing the pause button and talking to the house elf she saw that Harvey too spoke to the creature and she watched the elf closer. She was extremely fascinated with those creatures and she hadn’t heard they existed before coming to Hogwarts and she wondered why the wizarding world allowed it to own house elves because to her it was just the same as slavery. Even in the muggle law was stated that nobody could ‘own’ another person but it appeared that the wizarding world was making a exception for the house elves.

Ah, Harvey was inviting the house elf to stay what made Leesha only more curious, how would this creature behave in their presence? “Ehm, yes, of course you can stay here” added Leesha. “This room is for everybody to use so I guess that you can do the same” she said to the elf while shrugging because it was the truth, this room was free for everyone and the only one who could decide if the elf wasn’t allowed was the professor who had opened this room.

“I’m fine with whatever you want to do” she told Pips, still watching him curious. “I’ve never seen a house elf up close so I’m actually curious about you” she told Pips and then looked at Harvey next her just when he looked at her too.

“I was teaching Harvey some of those Muggle tools so if you’re curious too then you’re free to join” she told the house elf. “Oh, and I’m Leesha” added the first year.

Harvey smiled to himself when Leesha also invited Pips to join them. It was bound to make Pips feel less like he was intruding - or so Harvey hoped, anyway.

"It's really difficult to get house elves to see themselves as our equals, though loads of people have tried," he whispered to Leesha, aware that there was no such creature in the Muggle world, and any relationship resembling that of wizard and house elf had been abolished long ago.

What a perfect place for a movie night! Olly showed up, prepared in his comfy clothes and some fuzzy socks. His bag contained a few movies that he had brought from home, in case there wasn't a good enough selection in the room. He was expecting to find Noelle in the room already, but it seemed like he had beaten her. So Olly left his stuff in front of one of the TVs and went to make sure it was all set up with a DVD player connected. The only downside of the room was that food wasn't allowed. So they could not have pizza. They couldn't even have popcorn. What kind of a rule was that?

She was late!
Okay, she wasn't late but she wasn't her usual early bird. There was a reason though.

Noelle rushed into the fun room.... looking very mischievous. She was dressed in her favorite pajamas. A crup onesie. Her hair tied back. There was a hood on the onesie that resembled a crup head. Noelle had it pulled up to hide her face. She needed to be concealed. Or felt like she needed to be anyways.

Because she was doing something very un-Noelle like.
Breaking the rules.

Scooting in and plopping in beside Olly, she greeted him with a big smile. "I have something for you." She said with an eyebrow wiggle, not even commenting on his excellent choice in movies.

Turning her head toward Harvey while he spoke she nodded and shrugged when the house elf didn't seemed to respond anymore. "I just don't understand why anyone wants to have a slave like that, are witches and wizards really that high headed that they need a creature like that to do their dirty work?" She asked back, sounding as surprised as she felt. "Maybe it's a status symbol..." she wondered out loud but then she shook her head, it was still strange to think about a house elf as a slave and to her they were slaves. There was just no other name for it she decided.

Turning the house elf her back, not even sure if it was still there she picked up her joystick and looked at Harvey. "Do you want to play some more or do you want to do something else?" She asked, letting him decide what to do because it was all new to him.

Olly was just putting one of his favorite movies in the DVD player - Peter Pan - when Noelle arrived. He grinned and waved as she approached. "Hey. I love your pajamas!" It was a crup onesie! A crup! He loved crups. He wanted pajamas as cool as hers. His were alright but really they were just regular pajamas.

He got up and moved back toward where his stuff was conveniently in front of the TV a nice spot away. "Oh yeah, I put in Peter Pan. That sound good?" He was sure it would because Peter Pan was such a great movie so who wouldn't want to watch it? Olly turned toward her as he asked, and it was when he discovered her partially hidden face and general sneaky attitude.

She had something for him?? "What is it?"

Harvey thought that the way she spoke about house elves was a bit harsh on the wizarding community. Then again, it was all so new to her, as new as this room was to him, so he tried very hard not to judge.

"It's not like slavery. I mean, I guess sometimes, it is, but... many wizarding families care very much for their house elves. And taking care of us, it gives them purpose. And I know that many people are offended that they don't get paid, but - well, a lot of the time they are practically part of the family," he tried to explain.

He thought for a moment about her offer. This game was fun, but...

"What else you got?" he asked, standing and stretching his legs.
