| | |  Music Therapy Room
Image by: Pixie Professor Myers has converted one of the greenhouses into a room devoted to the care and focus of sick or ailing plants. Not only can you test your wits in here to care for a wilting shrub or two, but you can also play any instruments you want in this room. Professor Myers is a firm believer in music therapy not only for people, but for plants, too. He himself is often seen playing his banjo in here when he has a spare moment, humming to himself as he relaxes and soothes the plants around him with his melodies.
Chill out and relax.
This room is warm, bathed in sunlight when it's sunny out, and smells like a typical greenhouse. It's the perfect place to get some private practice in, too, if you play an instrument. No outside food or drink allowed in the greenhouse without permission from Professor Myers, except for water, of course. Anyone is allowed in here to meditate, relax, and look after plants. | |

Colt heard from his cousins there was a music therapy room. This is what this slytherin needed after being exposed to classes. He wasn't much of a studious person per say. He just didn't like wasting his time reading books on things that weren't interesting. He preferred doing DADA reading. He loved reading about the dark wizards and the past events. As he made his way to the room, he instantly felt calmer to say the least. He even brought his little guitar from home. No one really knew he could play. He learned from his cousin Kace, he took some private lessons from him.
He looked around the room and saw no one was here. He grinned and took his guitar out of his backpack and strummed to some tunes.

But all his studying was done and his small handful of friends were doing their own things, so he was wandering to repel the boredom. The plants in here were nice, after all, even if the idea of music therapy for plants was completely ridiculous.
Speaking of ridiculous music therapy, someone nearby must have been trying to sooooothe the plants (or himself?) with some guitar playing. "Not working, dude," he mumbled as he passed.

Colt was trying to strum the guitar and tried to get into tune when he heard someone walk past him. He heard his comment and scoffed at it. He shook his head and smirked with his comeback, "Well like you can do any better?" he raised a brow and challenged the little dude. He seemed like he was a know it all. Who was this kid anyway telling him he was doing it wrong. He messed with the wrong dude.

This guy had heard him? Over all that angsty guitar strumming?
Sam stopped and turned to look at him, and the Gryffindor also raised an eyebrow. "I don't play guitar," he stated plainly. But if he did, he sure wouldn't be playing it to 'soothe the flowers.'

Sam's face remained neutral. "It was a fact, not a 'comeback.'"
He watched as the older boy set his guitar down and approached him. Their difference in height was suddenly more apparent, and Sam wagered that the Slytherin was probably a sixth or seventh year. Did the boy believe that walking over to him would intimidate Sam solely because of their difference in size? Because oddly, it didn't have much of an effect on the Gryffindor at all, apart from having to adjust his head slightly. It was highly doubtful that this boy would beat him up - or so he believed, and Sam could hold his own in an argument with this blockhead.
"I didn't exactly see any plants asking for an encore." And he'd speak his mind whenever he pleased... clearly.

"Don't let this face fool, I really care.." he stared at him stoned faced and shrugged and returned to his guitar and continued to strum to a tune he had heard from a band in his muggle world. It was from a band called Parachute. The song was What I Know. Not that this kid would know what the song was. He probably had no clue. "Yeah well it seems the plant can carry their own tunes. I don't why you are so worried about that.." Was this kid concerned about what he thought? Because this lion had another thing coming. "There is nothing wrong with trying new things mate.." he raised an eyebrow at him. "No one likes a critic I'm sure you suck at possibly...quidditch am I right?" Judging by his little puny size.

Azura wandered into the music therapy room and smiled a bit as she looked around at the plants, before she grinned and pulled something out of her pocket..
I looked like a miniature piano.. but as Azura set it on the ground and gently tapped it with her wand, it started to rapidly get bigger until there was an actual piano.. complete with bench sitting there!
It had been a present from her grandparents.. a show of.. good will as it were. Azura was grateful for their present and their willingness to look after her. Hopefully this time she wouldn't be abandoned.
She settled down onto the bench and started to run her hands over the keys..
"Any requests?" She asked the plants around her.. before smiling a bit. "I'll play what I played for my Julliard Audition.. I hope you all like it." She said with a warm smile as she started to play. | |
